I Don’t Want To Travel Anymore

I’m tired of spending so much of my free time learning a new language.

I’m tried of trying to figure out yet another new dating culture.

I’m tired of carrying big jugs of water from the grocery store because of not being able to drink from the tap.

I’m tired of rolling solo to the mega clubs that only play pop music.

I’m tired of getting ripped off by taxis.

I’m tired of not being able to spend time with my family.

I’m tired of how simple tasks can take hours.

I’m tired of not being able to find peanut butter.

I’m tired of packing all my shit.

I’m tired of not being able to buy new things due to lack of space in my luggage.

I’m tired of not having any close friends with me.

I’m tired of a lot of things, but yet I’m in Europe again for another trip. It’s hard for me to consciously admit that the positives of adventure and foreign vagina outweigh just about every negative I can possibly think of.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s never to trust yourself. Don’t listen to your inner monologue when it complains and whines. It will never be satisfied with the present moment. Simply ignore its voice and stick to your goals, whether it’s flagging or completing a project or what have you, no matter how hard and annoying it may be.

Only when you are successful with your goals, or at least gave it the amount of time and work necessary for it to succeed, may you then move on to something else. Sometimes it’s better to blindly soldier on than listen to your gut, until your gut is screaming so loudly that you can no long ignore it. Otherwise you will be listening to the sabatoeur, the weak man, the quitter that is inside all of us.

  1. You and I are moving in opposite directions. You’re feeling the pull of home, and I’m getting prepared for travel and freedom.
I’m tired of all the crap that comes with domestic life. I hate the mowing, the weeding, the property taxes, the insurance, organizing the garage, fixing the dishwasher, all of it.
Even the so-called perks of being “stable” enough to own a house are exhausting. The cable bill, the Internet bill, taking care of the stereo and wondering if it’s time to get a newer TV. This beta provider shit is over for me.
It’s all crap. Soon enough I’ll be living like I did when I was 25, with a car and a suitcase, and (sometimes) an apartment with almost nothing in it.

  2. This is the kind of red pill post that the haters twist with their dissonance and claim the “see i told you so” while ignoring the sheer honesty of said post.
    Long live the king.

  3. How about finding a nice girl from one of these countries instead and take em on a trip with you? Pay for her trip, so what if its a little beta. Sometimes you gotta change it up a little. Don’t let it be so much about the sex, let it be about everything. You know? Canollis in Paris, massages in a hot tub.
Sometimes you gotta put all that manosphere mess aside and say for now I’m just gonna enjoy myself.
And hey if it doesn’t work out you could always just game local girls during the trip. When you got it, you got it.
We’re the real romantics in the end.

    1. We who swallow the red pill could call this……..social proof.
      Potential 3 way material……
Is it beta…..or strategy? You know you will never be a beta male. So even asking yourself…..is this a beta move is useless. Because……if you were to buy a girl a drink or take her on a trip. You would be doing it for the benefit of your manosphere. A beta would do it for hope.
Women will blindly follow irrational things. Like a man who is up front about what he wants. For instance……saying something like. “I would like to use your body for some no strings attached sex….just for tonight”. Sometimes actually works.
Just remember your roots. The Game…..and some of its rules

  4. I get it, lived abroad for seven years myself…but after 4 years back in the States I’m more than ready to leave again…those who are filled with wanderlust and potential domesticity, are doomed to never be completely happy. You are at the age where things are supposed to get more serious, but also young enough that they don’t quite yet have to. Good luck with that…

  5. Move to Poland. Marry a hot local girl. Settle down. You know you want to do it, and you know it’s good for you.

  6. Well dearie, none of us are as young as we used to be. But I will leave you with a bit of wisdom from a very wise dance instructor – though she couldn’t turn me into a dancer (proving that there are limits even to genius) she did leave me with this –
If what you are doing isn’t working, don’t try harder. TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

  7. Traveling is hard, mentally and physically. You have to endure a lot of uncomfortable things. In most countries it is harder to get girls than at home, for many reasons. However you only have to go home again for a few weeks to realize that you don’t really want to trudge it out there year after year either, cause it’s too boring.
Personally I want to keep on traveling for maybe a few more years until I have at least visited all the continents and then I will narrow down my locations and live abroad more permanently (which is different from traveling around) while traveling less frequently.
In the meantime, maybe try organizing more forum meetups.

  8. Stop travelling so much and spend at least 1 year in a country you love. My friend spent 1 year in Senegal and loved it. He made friends, slept with local girls and even stayed with a host family.
The problem with travelling so much is you lose all the great connections you made by constantly moving.
Pick up a home base, setup shop, and only travel to other places for a few days. It will feel better.

    1. Yeah, that’s great advice.
I have lived in one city in Russia for about eight months now. I have some cool guy friends that I hang out with regularly as well as a circle of acquaintances that are always willing to go hang out somewhere.
It isn’t as difficult as it was in the beginning: I know all the stuff I need to know to survive: how to pay bills, where to find stuff I need to buy, how to get from here to there on public transport, how to speak the language well. I’ve overcome all the crap about travel that just wears you down.
Of course, there is the process of finding girls too! But the most important thing is to enjoy life, and girls are just a part of that. Staying in one place for awhile makes travel more enjoyable.

^^^ Some of the best advice the dude has ever coughed up.

  10. Good point about ignoring your inner monologue and ploughing on with your goals regardless.
You are living a life that many men would dream of, and yet are fed up with it – it just goes to show, everything is relative in life.
Reminds me of the saying: “Find me the most beautiful girl in the world, and I’ll find you the guy who’s bored with fucking her”

Brilliantly insightful paragraph. Sometimes you have to push through the doubt to achieve greatness. But always listen to your gut when you’re not sure you’re safe or doing the right thing at all.

  12. C’mon Roosh you are yanking our chains.
“Carrying a jug of water”, let me guess to your centrally located apartment. lol

  13. don’t agree totally. I mean, if you’re tired of travelling, why do it? It’ better do do something else, maybe later the urge to travel will come up again.

  14. In looking at the most recent election. I noticed who voted democrat….and who voted republican. The blue demographics were mostly large metropolitan areas like NYC or Atlanta. The red were…..mostly…..everywhere else but the cities. I do believe feminists are blue for the most part and reside in such places. They are progressive in the ways of beta beliefs…..as are a lot of the men in those places. Metro sexually oriented.
My point is not of politics or even demographics….my point is, a lot of American women do not share the beliefs of the women that are described here. They are not feminist…..and they are not from the cities. Rarely if ever is small town America factored into these equations. I’m talking like 60,000 people. The women of these smaller towns still like to fuck….and you will still find all walks of life in them the same as everywhere else. You will find feminists there too but you will also find women who hate feminism. This could be and has yet to be explored. We need not to explore other counties to find good pussy. There is a lot of it here in the United States. Statistically Colorado is known for having non fat women….as is Alaska. Texas…..Arizona colleges have many to choose from as far as beautiful women are concerned.
Soldiering on is a good and righteous thing…we all love it and you for it. We like the travel guides and the exploring. But I do have to ask….have you gotten all your 50 state flags. Could you write guides for the USA. Most of your readers live in the USA I’m guessing and may gain for it. The players of old hit places like Los Angeles and Austin.
Relevant…..I don’t know…..but there will be no learning languages or cultures. Just practicing game. Plenty of coffee shops here…..the one I go to has 8s and 9s…..your 8s and 9s. Not the ones of a beta male. Do this for a while….and then go back into the world with a full heart.

  15. Typo: it´s “saboteur”, dear Roosh.
Very useful post for younger guys. I should know, because as a young man when I was abroad I made the mistake of listening to that voice time and again. The voice that said: go back home! “Oh to be in England, now that April´s there!”
Damn that voice! You have to hang on for as long as you can. Because there´s no home anymore. Under globalism, your country might disappear in just a couple of years. My advice is: try to make a home of where you are, because that´s the definition of home. And home is what they´re trying to take away from you every day. Who? you ask. Well the globalist elites and their beta enablers. Also their leftist and feminist brownshirts. The rabble and the dregs of the world and tutti quanti.
The paradox here is that to escape globalism you have to become a citizen of the world.

  16. @ Jackwade
though there are still elements of american society with less virulent strains of feminism, and plenty of hotties (ariz, tex, SoCal, etc), the underlying individualism that defines western culture (US, UK, Aussie, former & current british countries) dissolves gender essence in favor of egalitarianism. Contrast this with eastern european, asian, or south american cultures where traditional values still emanate, and you come across a higher average of girls who reek of estrogen (feminine, giggly, cook for you on second date, defer to men to take lead, appreciative of the delicate imbalances, etc). besides, the majority of manosphere game or PUA focuses on US, so there is plenty of material out there for local game. Travel game is a niche, and it draws out many instincts that complement game. Though impractical for many, it is highly beneficial for many.
