The Orthodox Church Is The Answer To Reviving Christianity In Europe And Saving The West

First let us take a look at a Christian faith that is strong, vibrant and alive.

Christianity is a beautiful faith.  For all my previous criticism of its intellectual formulation, the one thing it gets 100% correct is that it actually enshrines the nuclear family unit – Father, Son and virgin Mother.  In that respect, it is more patriarchal than Islam in overtly formulating The Father as divine authority, The Son as heir to that authority, and the virgin Mary as model all women should aspire to be as wife and mother. The video above is a 26 minute silent reflection on life inside a men’s Orthodox Christian monastery in Abkhazia.  The power of the documentary is palpable for its very lack of speech and thus quiet testimony to the essence of Christian truth – the worship of God through Jesus Christ.

After the passionate response to my last essay, I went on YouTube to look up what I could find on the Eastern Orthodox faith.  Here is a great video series I would like to share with you all.

For Christianity to return and thrive in Europe & The West, there must be unity.

The single biggest advantage of the Orthodox faith is its unity. There is simply too much division and conflict in almost all flavours of Christianity outside the Roman Catholic Church.  Historically, the Orthodox faith does not have a real history of theology (per se).  That is, the Orthodox don’t think too much or question too deeply about their faith. They accept. They believe.  They practice.  Most importantly, they do not allow any change – none – to what they believe is the original church handed down to humanity from St. Paul.

For the Orthodox, it is not about the intellectual foundations (i.e. theology) so much as the community of worshipers and keeping to past traditions.  They keep to what their ancestors practiced and see no need to change anything. Doing so would be a grave break and violation of the past, a complete insult to the body of Christ and the family tradition that has been passed down for generations to preserve the faith.

Eastern Orthodox Christianity has kept the original Byzantine rituals and formulations for worship.  A good example of its seriousness and unwillingness to change is the fact that they will not let anyone who is not Orthodox to take part in communion.  They see communion as a serious ritual, the true taking in of the body and life of Christ, His word, and His salvation.  To allow just anyone to partake without proper preparation, proper orientation, and proper intention, is dangerous.  The liturgy and hymns are also old.  They go back all the way to the original church over 1000 years ago and more.  The swinging incense pots is not some ornate flashy thing they do, there is real spiritual purpose and foundation to everything in an Orthodox liturgical mass.

What I have just described is practiced by all Orthodox churches which may strike many American Protestants and Evangelicals as odd.  The different designations (Greek, Ukrainian, Russian, etc.) are nothing more than jurisdictional boundaries.  If you are Russian, you want to go to mass in your language and with your people.  Each church is local and loosely affiliated with the others, but there is no over arching official hierarchy, no Pope as it were for the ENTIRE faith. What unites them as Orthodox is not a single authority ON doctrine (per se), but common faith IN practice (de rigueur).

In many ways, Martin Luther was a revolt against the Pope having authority over how to worship by the local community. His opposition to Indulgences and a paper titled “The Pagan Servitude To The Church” are reminiscent of my own intellectual wrestling trying to understand Christianity. For Luther, it was ultimately about a return of faith to the followers of Christ, not blind obedience to papal authority for which he saw no authority given to it.

His theology challenged the authority and office of the Pope by teaching that the Bible is the only source of divinely revealed knowledge from God[3] and opposed sacerdotalism by considering all baptized Christians to be a holy priesthood.

Martin Luther ~ Wikipedia

Ironically, in Eastern Orthodox, the power of the church rests in the local faithful and has forever been this way.  In one video, a story is told about an Orthodox priest who was invited to a world religions syncretic type seminar where he was quoted at the end of the conference as saying “Yes, there are many paths to God and all are valid.”  When he returned to his local church and went to put the key in the door, the local church members had already changed the locks!!!  How many Catholics would like to do that to the current Pope?!?!  This is why the East rejected authority of Rome over THEIR religion.  Christ belongs to the people, from God, and the Eastern Orthodox have protected this faith and non-hierarchical organization since the beginning of Christianity.

Why is it that Eastern Christians are agreeable about this?  Why don’t they clamour and agitate for new stuff, for revision, for updating? The reason is that in the East, we expect the faith to actually do something. It isn’t just a matter of having the right institution, or having the right theology, though I believe the Orthodox church does have those things. That’s not what does it, really.  It’s that we expect that practicing this faith will change people.  And you know what?  We see that it actually does.  We see it over and over again. We see it in contemporary lives. We see people actually transformed. [Video]

To an Orthodox, they practice because it works, not just because it is right.

This… that single statement… would unite all Christianity.  Gone would be the divisions, the arguments, the 1000s of flavours of Christ by each Protestant wanting to be a Pope.

If I ever become Christian, it will be in the Orthodox faith.  This single video series has proved to me beyond a shadow of doubt that what the Orthodox has works.  It works because…

Even after over 70 plus years of Communist oppression & outright murder, the faith has rebounded

Russians are Orthodox because faith in Christ works, not just because it is right.  If you have ever known a Russian, you know how much they value what works and not what is bullshit. My intellectualization and analysis of Christianity is precisely the problem in The West.  No single Christian tradition in The West, outside of the Catholic faith, can truly claim that what they have works, but they have ALL argued and warred for centuries about being right.

If Western Christianity did work, people would not have left.  Leaving aside the massive hurdle of getting Westerners to actually stop being atheists or completely ignoring God, a Christian faith that can actually claim to work is precisely what will get someone like me back in the church. A claim I must repeat, that is actually backed up by evidence, not rhetoric.

The final video I want to close off with is an Orthodox explanation of salvation.

This… brought tears to my eyes.  It actually answered one, if not THE, core complaint Westerners have about Christianity as they know it – you are condemned to hell if you reject Christ, and no amount of good works or deeds or repentance can save you if you do not accept Christ, the end. Of importance to note, this priest refers to God only when explaining the Orthodox version of salvation; it is God, not Jesus that is the focus of Eastern Orthodox faith.  I suspect this is why the Protestants split from The Vatican and we can see it in their further splintering right up to today; Protestants wanted more Jesus and less God talk from the Pope because it was Jesus that truly saves. (Once again, you can see why a non-Christian starts to scratch his head in puzzlement.)

This Orthodox version of salvation is one I have never heard from any Christian priest or pastor in The West.  If Europe, if America, were to hear the message of God in the Orthodox faith, I think you would have a revival like none we have ever witnessed in the past.  In fact, the whole Theoria YouTube channel is, I suspect, a production created for just that reason.  Thousands of disillusioned Protestants and other long lost former Christians are filling the Orthodox churches. The Theoria video series was created to help orient and guide the newly faithful. Is their any other church outside Catholicism that is seeing this kind of resurgence? (Assuming Catholicism is seeing an influx, I do not know and just speculating because it too has a good history of unity in faith and would be The West’s oldest incarnation of Christianity.)

Conclusion

Putin is demonized in the West for many things, but the one reason “they” hate him the most? Putin and Russia are a walking, talking, living reminder of a faith they thought was all but extinct by their design and command. Putin’s Christian message is not just reaching America, but the entirety of Europe.  Note as well that Putin is an astounding example of the claim to proof that the Orthodox faith works.

He has single-handedly inserted himself in Syria and reversed what was not just the holocaust of Syrian Christians, but the globalist plan to balkanize the region with Iran being the last Muslim nation standing in their way. For all those who claim Islam is favored by the elites and want it to take over Europe, just look to Muslim lands where, regardless of how you feel about Islam as a religion, the homeland of Muslim faith is being literally bombed into oblivion in a way Christian “Muslim invasion” Europe is not.  Make no mistake, after Islam’s “victory” in Europe, it will be up next for targeted wholesale destruction by they who hate God more than they hate humanity.

I have no doubt that if Europe and The West can find its way back to Christianity, our future will look as bright as Russia’s.  From even this most minimal and cursory review of the Eastern Orthodox faith, it is the only path back to Christ in Europe and The West that I can see actually working.

What Christianity needs is unity of faith, unity of belief, unity of practice and unity in God. All of this is found in the Eastern Orthodox church and nowhere else.

  1. First!
I have been a big fan of Eastern Orthodoxy for a while now. While all the other branches of Christianity have caved in to political correctness, the Orthodox church has remained steadfast. The entire western world would be a better place and have a viable future, if we adopted Orthodoxy as our primary religion.
Countries (like Russia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania) that are poorer and have less “freedom” and opportunity than us, still have an intact culture. And Orthodoxy has been the glue that has held it together, and kept most of the people from being sucked in to the western degeneracy. Good article.

    1. I lived in Ukraine for years and with very few exceptions didn’t really see the church as having much influence at all.

    2. VaronusMinxaouzen is an orthodox greek, you can talk with him about it.
In fact, is weird that I don’t see his comments here….

    3. hey not all other branches have fallen into political correctness…check out independent fundamental baptists…their preaching is like they’re breathing fire.

        1. Will have to add yet another vid to the que. LOL Interesting premise in the description… leading men to virtue again. Yes… but that would mean convincing young men that there actions have MORAL consequences. As much as ROK and MGTOW readers shit all over women… men… are just as responsible for the state of millenial degneration as their parents for “allowing” things to get this bad. Things are only this bad… because men keep enabling women! (Just my opinion.)
Virtue… comes to a single two letter word.
          No.
Men need to start using it again and that includes how one goes about getting laid.

        2. “Virtue… comes to a single two letter word. No.” Simple and profound. I’ll get much use from that.
Highly recommended Video. Bump it up the queue. Priest is a doctor of psychology and an exorcist. Great combination.

    4. I had never felt anything even remotely approaching faith or reverence until I entered an Orthodox Church. And this was after 8 yrs of “parochial” (protestant) education and 8 yrs of ‘none of the above’.
      It is Home.

    5. That’s a complete joke. Eastern Europe is in financial turmoil, and Orthodox centers like Greece are tottering to economic meltdown. Orthodox in the Middle East are forced subjects of the Muslims, and the Russian Orthodox are practically wards of the State. Orthodoxy already failed Russia when the Communists came. It isn’t the answer to the modern crisis. They can’t even get their breeding numbers back up, because unlike the Catholics, who bitched and whined about abortion to the point of exhaustion, the Orthodox only offered a token resistance to abortion.

  2. I think the main problem with the Catholic Church is that it became a goddess-cult after the doctrine of Immaculate Conception became church dogma. The Orthodox Christians respect the Virgin Mary for giving birth to Christ, but they do not see her as perfect.
The Orthodox faith also comes almost directly from Jesus and the apostles. It is not diluted by papal authority like Catholicism nor is it a bunch of theological nonsense like Protestantism is.

    1. That can vary, the Metizio and third-world oriented church is undeniably focused on what are frankly bizarre aspects of history and over emphasize the feminine because it absolves them of having made any mistakes.

      1. The most intense manifestations of woman-worship are found in Western cultures and especially in American culture. The countries in the rest of the world are either truly patriarchal or do not have aspects of woman-worship that are as intense as those found in Western countries.

        1. In the Latin countries, they worship Mary harder than any other spiritual figure…

        2. Oh no doubt, here in the West stoking female vanity is practically a required ritual for public life. But especially in Metizio culture there is an odd tendency to hold up female saints and other odd practices.

        3. Yes, but those practices resulted from the imposition of Western Christianity upon Central and South America during the Age of Colonization.
The fact that the most toxic variant of feminism came from the West, specifically the Anglo world, is ample proof that the main problem lies within the West itself. The way I see it, the West needs to stop blaming the rest of the world for what are clearly its own cultural problems.

        4. Feminism isn’t a Christian or Western ideal, rather it originates with a different (((religion))).

        5. A buddy of mine told me about his brother buying a used truck from a Mexican guy. He said he kept finding stickers of the Virgin Mary everywhere in and on the car. The guy wasn’t Catholic so he took them off whenever he found them. After he thought he got them all, he got under the car to work on the exhaust system and there was a little sticker of Mary on the muffler. It’s weird.

        6. True, most western countries have been cucked faggots, ever since they destroyed over 10,000 years of their own white pagan history, & adopted a bat shit crazy jew religion …
          Fucking idiots …

        7. Paganism is shallow, arbitrary, and malleable. It’s not this glorious repressive ideology you think it is.

        8. I see a lot of people from the West making this claim in order to absolve the West for its role in creating feminism. The problem is that Western cultures have been woman-worshiping ever since the Germanic peoples settled within it. Western Christianity has woman-worshiping characteristics (e.g. chivalry) baked into it.
Personally, I think Western gynocentrism was one of the main factors, aside from the obvious ones, that caused the East-West split in Christianity. The East decided to cut itself off from the rot.

        9. Chivalry has its place, you can’t treat your women like the Muslims, respect is a two way street that leads two places: the masculine and the feminine. Treating women like property or cattle is shallow and kind of pathetic, though so is letting them run roughshed or putting them in charge. Women are offered protection and respect in exchange for children, companionship, and obedience.

        10. “Chivalry has its place”
It really doesn’t unless you want your culture to degenerate into a Stone Age shithole. Chivalry is based on the belief that women are prefect and are morally superior to men.
Any culture that adopts such an ideology is well on its way to destruction.

        11. Its pretty clear with that retarded statement, you dont know jackshit about history or paganism
It was the rejection of christianity & the over throw of the catholic church, which gave rise to pagan gnosticism & led to the renaissance, bringing us out of the dark ages of fanatical faggot christians …
FYI Rome, greece, europe & ALL of the antiquity responsible for creating the sciences & arts & civilisation were … all pagan bwahahahaha

        12. Do you really think those medieval knights or Victorian soldiers thought women are perfect? Life is giving and getting, you can’t treat women like slaves and expect much good in return. Have you noticed the kind of fantasies women enjoy? It usually involves some big man dominating them and carrying them off into the sunset. Chivalry indulges them bit to keep them compliant.

        13. “Do you really think those medieval knights or Victorian soldiers thought women are perfect?”
They did. That belief was at the core of medieval chivalry and inspires all the nonsensical knight-stories that came from that era.
The simple fact is that men should not serve women. Men can still take care of women like parents take care of their children, but men serving women is a recipe for cultural disaster.

        14. Says the retarded orthodox catholic.
Orthodox fanatic morons cant handle the fact your jewish religion plunged europe into the dark ages, or the fact pagan rome, or pagan greece, or that the antiquities were white pagan & responsible for civilisation as we know it…
Enjoy your ignorance fanatical cuck …

        15. Derp derp.
Stormfront is still online, go amaze them with your enlightened Leftist atheism, hoss.

        16. there was never an christian fanatical dark age.
The dark ages started when islamist destroyed 2/3 of christian culture and turned Damaskus and Alexandria (former high tech and high philosophy cities) into slave trade shitholes.

        17. Not so RGPM,
There was little or no scientific advance between the days of Cicero (100BC) and Jefferson (1800AD).
“So slow was the pace of change that people, or at least aristocratic intellectuals, could think of their predecessors of a thousand years before or more as effectively their contemporaries. And they were not far wrong. Marcus Tullius Cicero, a Roman aristocrat and politician of the generation before the Emperor Augustus, might have felt more or less at home in the company of Virginia planter Thomas Jefferson. The slaves outside grew different crops. The plows were better in Jefferson’s time. Sailing ships were much improved”
……nearly the same for 2,000 years.
          http://home.cvc.org/bryant/delong%20chapter%202%20wealth.pdf
Almost all modern science, modern method and technology was created in Western Europe and the USA by Christian white men of Celtic/Nordic descent in the last 250 years.

        18. The term Dark Ages is a modernist lie. This was the Golden Age of Western Civilisation. Please watch this short video.

        19. “The fact that the most toxic variant of feminism came from the West, specifically the Anglo world, is ample proof that the main problem lies within the West itself.”
I would upvote you a 1000 times and make this the featured comment if I could. Both this article, my last and one other on Islam all point to this. The West… has a problem… and the proof and cause is in its history, for those with eyes to see.

        20. Except the East fell fast to the toxin of Communism. It fell faster than the West because internally, it was weak. The Church was a puppet of the monarchy, and as the monarchy became more hated, so was the Church, to the point where the Russians persecuted the Church of their own forefathers. And don’t tell me “because Jews”. Stalin wiped out much of the Jewish Soviets, and the Soviet Union remained strongly atheist until a Polish Catholic Pope and an Episcopalian US president took them down.

        21. Actually, chivalry does not give women free reign to act as they pleased. Men are set to serve them, but only if they acted ladylike. if they didn’t, men can and will call them out for it, and they can even be punished for “unladylike” behavior.

      1. No. Common misconception. The Immaculate Conception is the belief that Mary was born without original sin. Since the Orthodox do not believe in original sin, we find this doctrine simply unnecessary.

    2. She herself said she was the Immaculate Conception at Lourdes, France in the 1850s. A continuous miracle occurs there daily to prove it.

    3. Uh, no. Jesus did not create a faith where every patriarch was his own thing. Jesus created a hierarchy within His Church that all answered to his right-hand man, Peter. If anything, Catholicism is the only Church that barely resembles the Church of Jesus Christ, because it at least preserves a sense of unity. There’s even passages in the Bible where Saint Paul blasts those who consider the Churches separate.
      Chapter 1, Corinthians:
12 Individuals among you are saying, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,…

      1. I don’t see Peter elevated or even mentioned here. The Cult of Peter is a Western, Roman concept.

        1. That’s because Peter was already mentioned someplace else:
          Matthew Chapter 16:
…17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”…
          Seems pretty conclusive to me.

        2. There is some room for interpretation here. While Peter is pegged to be the ‘founder’ of the new faith, I don’t see this as the establishment of a permanent office of leadership.

        3. Peter wasn’t a founder of anything. He was just a benchwarmer for the King of Kings. You don’t see it as a permanent establishment for a leadership role, even though it clearly was. So apparently you can declare what the Bible says null and void when it makes you feel uncomfortable. Just like the protestants do when the literal interpretation of “Body of Christ” is thrown in their faces.

        4. Take it easy, slick….
what you say is clear is not necessarily clear to me. That’s not the same as declaring something null and void.

  3. I have long been a Lutheran of the Missouri Synod, and I find their teaching to be in line with Scripture.
That said, I find common faith with the Orthodoxies. From what I’ve heard, I can recommend them to the faithful.

    1. Fellow LCMS here, I’ve always found their teachings to be far more scripture-based and conservative than other popular flavors like Methodists.

  4. Why “Orthodox?” The term means “right doctrine,” and as I understand the term arose during the Great Schism.
My understanding is the Bishop of Rome was found wanting, not least because he claimed primacy.

    1. Yup… nailed it. The Orthodox recognize no authority for the Church on earth BECAUSE Jesus/God declared it and showed the ancients how to worship and be in the faith. There are “patriarchs”, which is to say, local administrators, but no need for a Pope because… my argument for Christianity’s return being Orthodox… they already practice the true faith with true doctrine.
The Protestant reformation really was a revolt against Papal/Vatican authority. The nation states (France, Britain, Germany) were emerging from the end of the middle ages into sovereign authorities and continual interference in both politics (Henry VIII and his divorce) and the faithful (Indulgences), was seen for what it was… tyranny.

      1. If only they’d rediscovered Orthodoxy instead of splintering into a thousand squabbling “protestant” sects….

  5. The problem with any church is 1/2 the audience will be woman. There is no defense against their hypergamic nature. The only thing that can come of this -is more feminized man up non-sense by the church…but the woman can f around and still take you to the cleaners when the next bigger meal ticket or better dik arrives. …Until I see that change in our society; i will avoid all religion teaching anyone in society. Yes – god created the universe – I will read my bible at home. thank you.

    1. Orthodoxy tends to put th hypergamy in check and for good reason, but dismissng women from partipating in faith is daft. They tend to be the enforcers of it in the family.
Once a faith accepts gay marriages or female priests they cease to be of relevance as it’s already in the grave.

      1. “dismissing women from participating in faith”?
They’re just not allowed to serve on the alter from what I understand.
Otherwise, they do as we do.

  6. I’ve wondered if it wouldn’t make sense to start an American Orthodox Church. Catholicism and Protestantism are so cucked at this point they’re completely intolerable.

    1. There is the Orthodox Church in America already. I would have to disagree that all Catholicism and Protestantism is cucked, the SSPX and old school Calvinists are on or above par with the Orthodox.

      1. lets not forget the IFB….they call them “fire breathing baptists” for a reason.

    2. That is not true. We have to take back our Holy Catholic Church. This is the Church that Jesus established and he said that “the gates of hell would not prevail against it” and for 2000 years he has been right. Sure there are traitors within but you don’t leave Jesus because of Judas.

    3. There’s Orthodox Churches all over America. And they’re just as liberal as the Catholics are. In fact, the two often break bread and talk about liberal causes such as helping the poor.

  7. Wow! Outstanding article. I learned more about the Orthodox Church in this article than I ever knew before. Thank you very much. Am watching these videos soon. Thanks a million Maximus.

  8. I also attend orthodox when I go, probably averaging once a month. I like the Byzantine ritual. I love the church but it is hard to join.

      1. That varies Church to church. A lot of them do seem like Ethnig Social Clubs. The one I was married in started out as bilingual, but gradually became solely Russian-speaking as the area became flooded with immigrants. So, we had to find another (turns out its HARD to learn Russian…)!

  9. “For all those who claim Islam is favored by the elites and want it to take over Europe, just look to Muslim lands where…the homeland of Muslim faith is being literally bombed into oblivion in a way Christian “Muslim invasion” Europe is not. ”
Let’s see, Saudi Arabia is not being bombed. Yemen, yes. Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE… not as far as I know. Afghanistan, invaded by NATO. Pakistan, a nuclear state and sovereign power. Iraq, true. Iran, not bombed but under pressure in a variety of ways.
Too simplistic. I’m not buying the claim that the ‘Muslim homeland’ is being bombed, although I do suspect the cultural marxists and globalists are using Islamic immigration as a tool to destabilize and destroy existing orders. (Next up will be China, Japan and Korea).

    1. They bombed them to lose them off and provide a reason for them to come over.

  10. How really united the orthodox are? I was recently at the Holy Land and they seemed to be fighting each other for shrine control.

    1. There is a dispute currently over the jurisdiction of Qatar between the Patriarchates of Jerusalem and Antioch. But it’s nothing for white people to worry about really as they need to solve it themselves

  11. I grew up Catholic but this new Pope hasn’t said shit about Islamic invasion… And his one job is to protect the Christian faith…
Tibet didn’t exactly work out so well for the Tibetans with a pacifist Buddhist leader.

    1. The current pope is simply an attempt by Catholicism to remain relevant and popular. They’ve completely sold out.

        1. Maybe not the civilized ones, but the latinos certainly love his idiotic Marxist rhetoric.

        2. Some friends in Argentina told me that there are rumors about Bergoglio having jewish blood, but they are not confirmed.
Wouldn’t surprise me if the rumors were true.

        3. Latinos will love every pope does not matter who. The catholic devotion in Mexico is cult like. People who have never read the bible are the worst. You only need to go to church every Sunday that´s it. There is an extreme devotion to saint Dolls, they pray to a doll.

        4. I must admit that some years ago I was thinking of converting to Catholicism, I have learned that most medieval thinkers were catholic + I admired the crusaders except the last ones and liked that you can marry only once in Greece you may marry up to three times and also we suffer from isichamism (a very passive form of christianity that you can find only in the middle east… besides Greece) we are the odd one out, Bergorio made me forget that idea permanently.

        5. They also have sant muerte, the reincarnation of the Mictecacihuatl the goddess of death of the Aztecs. In reality they are pagans, they remind me of the story of the Africans who mostly “christened” their gods with names of saints but de facto they changed nothing concerning their beliefs.

        6. That´s Santeria, White Magic, Black Magic and some voodoo. Mexico is a mixture of cultures and religion, the blacks bring black magic and voodoo from Africa. There is a set of subcultures and sub religions, is a mess. Even the drug dealers have their saint, “El Santo Patrono Malverde”. It´s weird and surreal.

        7. As a white man surrounded by hispanics throughout my daily life. I find this claim untrue. A lot are ignorant, but this is nothing that a good conversation with a well informed fellow catholic cannot fix.
Now those hispanics who have awareness, they flirt with the idea of divorce with the Vatican, believe me.

        8. Catholic by birth, myself. I only recently came back to the church, after reaching her truth through a decade long philosophical chase. Having spent the last two years focused on Christian hermeticism and theology, whilst studying the entire history of Roman Catholicism, I believe the entire office and seat of the pope is now so corrupted as to be judged illegitimate and discarded completely. Never again shall so much power be in so few hands within Christ’s Church.

        9. So were early European peasants. They prayed to a dog that got killed by its master after saving a child.

      1. As a Catholic, I’ve learned NEVER to take what the MSM says about religion at any sort of value. They ALWAYS spin for their narrative. Consequently, I never believe when they claim him as blessing their destruction of the West…because of course they would say that.
In my mind, the correct strategy for a man in Francis’ position is to stick with the long game, which the church excels at. Smile at the media, say things they can misinterpret at will, all the while cleaning the muck out of the bowels of the church.
From all I know, he could be doing this now, but even if he isn’t, it’s my job to help do that all I can.

        1. You’re in too deep. You’re telling me that gods middleman is supposed to just look right while “playing the long game” ? The Catholic Church has some very real legitimacy problems.

        2. agreed…Jesus didnt play games. he told it how it is. the only exception is when they confronted him with questions trying to trap him. he would speak in parables. or he would reverse it on them such as in the case where he made the “he who is without sin cast the first stone”

      2. i heard rumors from a catholic that the cardinals were discussing defrocking francis…

      3. Relevancy with modernity is the ultimate heresy. The papal office has become illegitimate. Chop the head off the church, sever the nerves and its limbs, and allow the heart to grow once more. Roman Catholicism is superior to all other “christianities”.

        1. If you think you can kick out the pope for being a great sinner or a heretic or such-like… aren’t you basically a Protestant?

        2. No, the papacy no longer embodies Roman Catholicism to the slightest degree. Nor the majority of the leadership of the entire Vatican endorsed Roman Catholic Church community of the world. This excludes laypersons, who live and worship honestly. My perspective is one that has studied the church from the days of Christ. The golden ages( dark ages) till the present godless reality of masses. The head of the church is God through Christ alone. Having a mortal man act as his flesh on earth is itself a heresy. The major misstep taken at behest of his glorious Church and its truth, which flourished even during centuries of papal rule, which was inhabited by great men as but also sinners. The papacy is the sole reason for the fall of our Roman Carholic Church as well as Western Civilization itself through its offshoot Protestantism, itself a reaction and effect of the papacy. The time has come for her complete restoration, this starts with our inner Catholic, Roman recovery and manifests with the annulment of the man held office of pope, temporal papal authority, and its negative lower level offshoots. Dues vult.

        3. If you don’t regard the Roman see as primary, in what sense are you a Roman Catholic? (As opposed, say, to merely being Christian.)

        4. I was baptised inside the Roman Catholic Church a tender age. The Catholic faith I was born into is not the Catholic Faith I pledge my soul and flesh. The Church, The true Roman Catholic Church. The very truth Jesus left his disciples. This Roman Catholicism had already begun to deteriorate, or I should say the symbol and expression of God for man, begun to lose its reflection of Him. At the founding of the Holy Roman Empire, the ecclesial authority was infected by man’s ego, way more so than in the days of Constantine the Great.
The papacy in our Faith was either righteous and correct only to be so destroyed with the domination of satanic energy on earth. Or it was a mistake and a effect of this degeneration. Either way, it does not work. Unworkable model, brother.

        5. Not at all. it’s been done many times, it just needs to be done within the system.
Of course, bribery and sometimes even killing popes was also common to the area. So it’s more about bending the church to your will and not defying it.

        6. Cardinals don’t accept bribes. That is an improvement over most of church history.

        7. So you believe a few corrupt and powerful men within an ocean of heaven righteousness was a negative and that our modern sea of corruption where the light is forced to the shadows is positive, an improvement?
This is ultimately what it boils down to.

        8. How can you depose a pope “within the system”? The man is vicar of Christ. No-one can judge him – that’s a basic point of dogma hammered out centuries ago.

        9. I am a protestant, so you’re preaching to the choir. And I can understand the sense of calling oneself “catholic”, as that only refers to the Church Universal. “Roman” seems an entirely unnecessary epithet, to me.

        10. May I enquir into your understanding of Protestantism and how the split came to be. It was certainly not Martin Luthers or any of his direct followers wishes.

        11. The Papal party ran him and his out of town on a rail. (I summarize.) Luther fled for his life, as did John Calvin and Zwingli and the other major figures. They were hunted men. Driven out of the formal church, they had to choose between designing an alternative structure or simply doing without, and generally chose the former.

        12. I am concerned only with the Judaic subversion that took place after Martin Luther’s death.

        13. Meaning what? Calvin was no Jew. Luther’s tradition has been called many things, but Philosemitic it ain’t.

        14. I sense any attempt of mine to explain how those people who converted Khazaria to Judaism around the eighth or ninth century gained power in Europe in the seventeenth century through Protestantism, may be a waste of my time.

        15. Perhaps. On the other hand, if you have a reasonable argument with substantial primary documentation, perhaps not. Whether you wish to do so is entirely up to you.

        16. Perhaps. On the other hand, if you’ve a reasonable argument to make, and some kind of evidentiary support, perhaps not. Up to you either way.

        17. Theoretically, yes. But the Church has done a great job of ignoring the History of the Avignon papacy, and other shameful acts like the burning of Alexander Sixtus, father of Cesare Borgia. If it could forget those, it can shove an Argentinian Bishop down the memory hole.
The papacy was at one point essentially an oligarchy of cardinals. And Bishops are almost always functionally independent of the Papacy. So there’s always a way or two around the system.

        18. It’s going to take a lot more than religious vigor to restore the Church, and that’s going to have to come last.
Realism needs to come first. That will require a level of corruption. The Papacy is a good instrument for handling that. If you kill the Papacy, the Church loses its most important element; a clear hierarchy. And if you really want to do it, you’re going to need to be just as corrupt as a Borgia, though you can ill afford to be as immoral.
Right now you’re thinking like a Protestant Preacher. That time has passed. Preaching like that can only build small communities, nothing more. And even those are going away.

        19. Roman Catholicism is predicated on the belief that the see of Rome, ruled by its bishop, the pope, retains the authority of the church at large as committed to St. Peter by Christ. If you think that’s bunk, congratulations, you’re a Protestant. But if you are an honest man, and you accept that the Pope is who he says he is, then there’s no “workaround”.

        20. You are free to believe that. However, you are attacking most Catholics, and all cardinals, through the entire history of the Church.
Hell, the position of cardinal essentially means ‘person whose job is to work around the pope.’ And to deny that the pope can make a foolish decision is utter absurdity. There is a reason so many popes have been scrubbed from the record, after all.
To give the pope final say in all religious conflicts is reasonable. To say that he should have absolute control over everyone’s life is ridiculous and totalitarian. The Pope is the final authority, but that van either mean he is commander over everyone or merely first among equals. The history of the cardinals suggests the latter.

        21. You mis-construe both my view as stated immediately above, and that of the church. Neither of us suggested that the Pope is infallible in all circumstances. But there is a wide gulf between admitting “the pope may make a foolish decision” – which no-one at all denies – and agreeing that he may be deposed at will. Is that distinction obscure to you?

        22. Not at all. I never said that the pope should be deposed at will, there’s a system for that within the church already. The cardinals have the power to depose the pope, plain and simple.
What I’m talking about is the tendency people had to recognize that rules were made to be broken, just not flagrantly. The workarounds were low-level.

        23. Can you cite some source that supports your view? My understanding is that the Pope is above human judgment ipso facto, owing to his unique position as vicar of Christ. Is it your view that he is not Christ’s vicar, or that he is merely primus inter pares among the College? I would be surprised if the Catechism regards the College of Cardinals as nothing more than a republic.

        24. Pope Alexander VI was burned at the stake by his cardinals. The entire Avignon papacy has been scrubbed from the official record.
If you’re relying on catechism to accurately explain how the church works, then I would suggest you realize that whatever you’re talking about has nothing to do with the real political structure.

        25. What on earth are you talking about? Are you mad? Alexander VI died ill in his bed, in August of 1503. There were public announcements, a funeral, and the accustomed ceremonies; I have myself read contemporary accounts of the matter. Machiavelli himself, no great friend of the papacy, describes Alexander’s death with no mention of such an unusual event. Likewise, there is definitely an official record of the Avignon papacy with a very large published scholarly bibliography. I don’t know what kind of secret-squirrel conspiracy theory you are playing at here, but it smacks of nonsense.

      1. since atheists government started to destroy the jesuits since 1790.. Befor that jesuits where the best.

        1. The Jesuits were suspended in 1773 by Pope Clement XIV. Jorge’s order was expelled from catholic countries in fact.
I have found them to be superb teachers, but Marxist interlopers out of their depth.

      2. Some Jesuits are still great. For example, Fr Mitch Pacwa of EWTN and Youtube fame.

    2. I recently stopped going to mass after my priest, week after week in his homily twisted the Gospel message to say that accepting the Muslim “refugees” is the Christian thing to do and that those against allowing them into the US are misguided sinners.
And we have Pope Francis allowing Muslim prayers to be read in the Vatican, washing the feet of Muslims, involving himself in world politics… And here I am thinking the Catholic Church was supposed to put the interests of Catholics first.

        1. Here in the USA, Catholics and Lutherans have been at the forefront of bringing unassimilable races and religions into this country… Hmongs, Somalians, Sudanese, you name it. And many of these have been resettled in some of our whitest states like the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc.
And of course our government (at least up until now) and our mainstream media are totally OK with this.

        2. Rubbish. it was originally the idiotic hard-left atheist and pagan based political parties that called for Muslim mass immigration. The “all-religions-are-the-same” crazies. Only lately have the conservative parties joined the insanity.

        3. I think I read a lot of them are barely Catholic charities set up by Podesta..

      1. Your right not to go to a Novus Ordo mass, it’s purile liberal gobbledygook. Go to the Tridentine Mass, one that is actually performed by a valid Priest.

      2. Accepting Muslims into Christian lands is not the Christian thing to do. Read Thomas Aquinas. He’ll straighten that out for you.

        1. I Wonder how many muslims country actually accept Christian practice on their teritory, because it is the ‘Muslim thing to do’.

        2. Actually quite a few take Syrian Christian refugees and allow them to practice Christianity

        3. The Pope doesnt care. He thinks being Pope means he can just wing it, and anything he says, goes
No Pope can ever change God’s laws. The Pope is not a king, but a subject. He has no power, only responsibility. He must meet a very high standard.

        4. No, seriously! They won’t even take their own! Come on now, is Sweden a Muslim country?

      3. Well Thank God that St Francis of Assissi and other great Saints didn’t take your attitude and leave Holy Mother Church when the shit hit the fan. Instead he transformed the church from within. The teaching of the church has not and can never change. Get involved in your local parish and run out the heretics (if they are not willing to change after charitable teaching). Most importantly, make yourself holy and be a light in the darkness.

        1. The problem is that even orthodox catholicism is at enormous variance from the gospels. Too many crazy accretions and divergences from the church in the book of Acts.

        2. Infallibility of the pope, praying to saints, transubstantiation, purgatory… shall I go on?

        3. Hello and Thanks for the response. Can you give me an example of the contradiction of Scripture and Catholic teaching. I can see that you have listed some Catholic teachings above now can you show me where you think they are at variance with the Gospel and I will respond?
          Thanks

        4. Hello Johannes,
          1. Infallibility of the pope:
Romans 3: 10-12, “There is none righteous, not even one; there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God; all have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is none who does good, not even one.
Mark 10:18, “And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.’”
          2. Praying to saints:
John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
John 14:13, “What ever you ask in My name (Jesus Christ), that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
          3. Transubstantiation:
Hebrews 9:28, “So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without sin, to those who eagerly await Him.”
1 Corinthians 11:24-25 “When He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘ This is My body do this in remembrance of Me. In the same way the cup also after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this in remembrance of Me.’”
Romans 6:9, “knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again, death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God.”
          4. Purgatory:
2 Corinthians 5:8, “we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.”
1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Romans 6:23, “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
          Speaking the truth in love,
          Chip

        5. Purgatory exists no where in the KJV Bible. Remember the Catholic church does not only rely on the Catholic bible as a reference, but also the “histories”. Things passed down over the centuries. Much of what “ComelordJesus” refers to above comes from that. Gives the church an out in my opinion.

        6. Dear Chip
Thanks again for your polite and charitable response. It is a rare thing these days online. So to respond to the points above:
1 Papal Infallibility- This is something that is commonly misunderstood even amongst Catholics (for different reasons). However Papal Infallibility makes no suggestion as to the character of the Pope. The Pope still has to work for his salvation just like everybody else. What it means is that when the Pope is speaking ex-cathedra (from the seat) and defending or defining doctrine he is without error. It is understood that the Holy Spirit guides the Church when defining teaching. Crucially, the Pope does not have the authority to contradict Sacred Scripture or Sacred Tradition. The Popes function as a living authority is to defend doctrine and not to create new doctrine.
When certain situations arise such as the female birth control pill, this is obviously something not covered in the Gospels, it is for the Pope to say No and tell his people that this is not part of God’s plan. Having a living Authority for such issues keeps the Church united.

        7. Praying to Saints
Catholics do not pray to Saints. The Object of our worship is Christ. We are asking the Saints for their intercession. Just like you would ask a living person to pray for you.

        8. Transubstantiation
John 6:55-57Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
55 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.
56 For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed.
57 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him.

        9. Purgatory
I will post this link below for a more comprehensive answer.
          https://www.catholic.com/magazine/online-edition/is-purgatory-in-the-bible
But it all comes back to the confusion which is caused by the rejection of Sacred Tradition. The Jews prayed for their dead before Christ and this what not an error that Christ rejected as outlined in the link above. Obviously you accept the Bible and I rejoice for that, we have so much in common compared to those who reject Christ, but the Bible was selected by a Church Council as you know. So when the did the Church fall into error in your opinion? Why do you accept the Bible but reject the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist which was believed by all the men on the Church Council who selected which books were canonical and which were not?

        10. For the record, can I ask you which type of Protestant are you?

        11. I am a Christian and I believe in God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, and the infallibility of His word. No religion, no man, no set of rules and regulations (legalism) can save lost man. Only Christ saves, by grace through faith in the only begotten Son of God Christ Jesus.

        12. Christ was alive when He said this, obviously. He certainly was not suggesting that anyone literally walk over and take a bite of His flesh or open a vein and have a drink. As He said, “Do this in remembrance of Me…”

        13. Praying to the dead is necromancy. God’s word is clear on that point also.

        14. James 2:14-26Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
14 What shall it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but hath not works? Shall faith be able to save him?
15 And if a brother or sister be naked, and want daily food:
16 And one of you say to them: Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; yet give them not those things that are necessary for the body, what shall it profit?
17 So faith also, if it have not works, is dead in itself.
18 But some man will say: Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without works; and I will shew thee, by works, my faith.
19 Thou believest that there is one God. Thou dost well: the devils also believe and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, offering up Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou, that faith did co-operate with his works; and by works faith was made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled, saying: Abraham believed God, and it was reputed to him to justice, and he was called the friend of God.
24 Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?
25 And in like manner also Rahab the harlot, was not she justified by works, receiving the messengers, and sending them out another way?
26 For even as the body without the spirit is dead; so also faith without works is dead.

        15. I agree completely. Ephesians 2:10:
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”
Good works are not what we do for God in our own power. Good works are what we do by the power of the Holy Spirit, that is what glorifies God. In order to do this we must remain in fellowship with God.
          1st John 1:9:
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Not confession to man but unto to God. Only then can we be Spirit filled and do His will.
All else is wood, hay, and stubble which will be burned away.
          1st Corinthians 3:11-13:
“For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man lay a foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed will fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work.”

        16. Dear Johannes,
I have indeed enjoyed our communication back and forth. It’s always good when brothers in Christ can discuss, civilly, spiritual matters. Even if we do not see eye to eye on all these matters I know that one day, very soon, we will sit at the feet of the Master, He will make all things new. All of our misinterpretation’s and misconceptions will be washed away.
          In His grip,
          Chip

        17. And you base that upon what? Certainly not the book of Acts or any other book in the Bible for that matter.

        18. Thank you Chip
It is clear from your polite responses that the object of your heart is Christ. I am glad you think that I am saved. “All of our misinterpretation’s and misconceptions will be washed away.” Yes, in the cleansing fires of Purgatory, if we are so blessed. (insert smiley face).
Seriously though, you say Catholic Tradition is Man made, right? Well I say that it is Divine Tradition, just as the Bible is Sacred Tradition. You see, every time that you talk when not directly quoting the Bible, this can be dismissed as man made tradition. Every time you begin to interpret scripture, you do so by private judgement. There is no mention of the Holy Trinity in the Bible, yet all Christians accept this Tradition. Sola Scriptura (scripture alone) is not consistent with the Holy Bible. Where in the Bible does it tell us to reject Tradition or only do what is says in the Bible? On the Contrary, in St Paul’s Secon Epistle to the Thessalonians he comands, “NIV So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.” Granted that Tradition must not contradict the Scripture in anyway.
Now as you can from our exchanges above on the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, literal translations can be understood differently to suit ourselves. Perhaps in this case we can look to the Early Church to see who is right and who is wrong? that is what I did and that is why I converted to Catholicism. To Quote Blessed John Henry Newman, “To be steeped in History is to cease to be Protestant”
Our Blessed Lord established a Church on Earth, Not 3 Churches and certainly not 33,000 Churches and counting.
“And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. ” And for 2,000 years it has survived.
I love having this conversation with you. It is better than the usual arguments over whether Abortion or Sodomy is okay.
I am sure we would get on just fine. And I hope you are right about us being saved.
          Johannes

        19. The Jews knew that He was speaking literally. Jn 6:52 “How can this man give us his Flesh to eat?” On other occasions when our Lord spoke of Himself as a Jn 10:9 “door” or a Jn 15:1 “vine,” nobody said, “How can this man be made of wood?” or “How can this man be a plant?” They recognized these as metaphors. But when Jesus insisted, Jn 6:53 “Unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of man and drink His Blood, you have no life in you; he who eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood has eternal life.” The Jews who heard this said, Jn 6:60 “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?” They remembered God’s command to Noah and all mankind, Gn 9:4 “Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.” God spoke more forcefully to His chosen people. Lv 17:10 “I will set my face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.” It was only after Christ’s redemptive sacrifice and the Holy Spirit’s enlightenment that the Apostles saw the full meaning of our Father’s next words. Lv 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life.” In the Old Covenant our Father in heaven had commanded His children not to eat the blood of animals because we are not to participate in the life of animals. Animals, having no immortal souls, are lower than man in the order of created nature. However, in the New and Everlasting Covenant we consume the Blood of Christ to participate in Christ’s eternal life.

        20. Johannes,
          Remove all doubt about salvation:
          John 3:16, Romans 10: 9-10, Ephesians 2: 1-6
Just to name a few verses concerning salvation of lost man and the security we have in Christ when we receive Him as Lord and Savior of our lives. The responsibility is removed from man and rests with God. I do not work for salvation, that would insult God and His provision in Christ, I rely only upon Jesus Christ and the promise of God’s holy word, No man, church, or tradition can save. Only Christ, He is the way, the truth, and the life, no one will go to the Father except through Him. John 14:6

        21. Matthew 25:31-46Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
31 And when the Son of man shall come in his majesty, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his majesty.
32 And all nations shall be gathered together before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.
34 Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35 For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in:
36 Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me.
37 Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee; thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and covered thee?
39 Or when did we see thee sick or in prison, and came to thee?
40 And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.
41 Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels.
42 For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink.
43 I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you covered me not: sick and in prison, and you did not visit me.
44 Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee?
45 Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me.
46 And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting.

        22. “I do not work for salvation, that would insult God and His provision in Christ”
Private Interpretation of scriptures or Man’s Tradition as you call it.
It is through that it is only by the Grace of God that we are called to repentance but we still have to make that step ourselves. That is why it is said that we are made in his image. We have free will. We must work for our salvation.
We must keep pushing ourselves all the time and ask ourselves if we are doing enough to end abortion and gay marriage and divorce and remarriage which are all abominations in the eyes of God. Are we losing our lives so we can find it?

        23. My friend Johannes,
Not my interpretation, Romans 1:17, “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘But the righteous man shall live by faith.’”
Also see, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38, Habakkuk 2:4.
Also God always takes the initiative because, “we were dead in our trespasses and sins…” Ephesians 2:1-5. We are sovereign beings, but we respond to His call of grace by faith in Christ.
Romans 9: 31-32, “But Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness did not arrive at that law. Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling Stone.”
My friend, do not confuse salvation with crowns:
          1. Crown of life – for those who have suffered for Christ’s sake, James 1:12, Revelation 2:10
          2. Crown of righteousness – Those who love His appearing,
          2 Timothy 4:8
          3. Crown of glory – those who fed the flock, 1 Peter 5:4
          4. Crown incorruptible – those who press on steadfastly,
          1 Corinthians 9:25
          5. Crown of rejoicing – those who win souls, 1 Thessalonians 2:19, Philippians 4:1, 1 Corinthians 3: 6-8 & 4:5, 2 Corinthians 5:10
We are definitely on the same page when it comes to social issues. Abortion is murder, homosexuality is an abomination, God hates divorce. When we work to achieve the task of ending them by the power of the Holy Spirit we are are in His will (1 John 1:9) and the result will be the earning of crowns, not salvation. Those crowns will be cast at the feet of of King Jesus, a worthy goal. Revelation 4:10.
Salvation is the free gift of God, He offers the gift and it is our responsibility to receive His gift by faith which results in our salvation.
John 1: 12-13, “But as many as received Him (Jesus Christ), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of man, but of God.”
Romans 6: 23, “for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
My friend cast aside your doubt, gaze upon the Lord Christ Jesus and His completed work, not your works. Only in Him we are ‘well pleasing’ to God the Father. Matthew 3:17.
Romans 8:15, “For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out Abba! Father!”
          Bless you my friend,
          Chip

        24. Again, “14 What shall it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but hath not works? Shall faith be able to save him?”
“18 But some man will say: Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without works; and I will shew thee, by works, my faith.
19 Thou believest that there is one God. Thou dost well: the devils also believe and tremble.”
          St James Epistle

        25. I agree completely! The point is that saving faith produces works but works do not save. That would be as they say, putting the cart before the horse.
Faith and works are two sides of the same coin, but we can not have works that are pleasing unto God with out saving faith first.
Hebrews 11: 6, “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”
Proverbs 3: 5-7, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.” The evil here, as it applies to our conversation, would be putting works before salvation and thereby attempting to buy off God or earn His approval.

        26. The Bible and the Book of Acts perfectly describe the two true Apostolic Churches, the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. Evangelicals abide by the grossly flawed “sola scriptura” while they thump a version of the Bible that they’ve redacted and minimized to push their agenda.
I love when Evangelicals spew the idea that “Catholics don’t go by the Bible” because I can immediately direct them to the historical fact that THE CATHOLIC CHURCH COMPILED THE BIBLE INTO ONE BOOK! We also have produced the most elite theologians, philosophers, and Biblical scholars to ever live.
Step into five different evangelical “churches” and you’ll hear five different preachers shout five different interpretations of the word. Also, most of these preachers push a spun version of literalism which simply diminishes the wealth of knowledge that the Holy Scriptures contains. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches have nearly 2,000 years of Biblical studies that employ literal, allegorical, anagogical, spiritual interpretations which provide the deep robustness of the Scripture message.
Liturgically we continue the same practices as the first Christians, especially the Orthodox as perform their liturgy with a historical pureness that has been reduced in the Catholic Church since Vatican II. The early Church celebrated the Eucharist as the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. The evangelicals have zero liturgy and blaspheme the Eucharist.
Brother, I stress that you abandon protestantism and recognize the wolf in sheeps clothing. Prosperity preaching is an evil that must be eliminated.

        27. Theology 101: Jesus didn’t mean it literally. No more than when he told us to take up our crosses or be born again.

        28. As for number 1, he is writing about sinners prior to salvation, not the Pope.
Transubstantiation-So how else do you explain bread and wine being the body and blood of Jesus? Do they serve actual flesh and blood at your church?
Purgatory- None of those quotes deny it. The existence of purgatory does not preclude salvation
Saints-We know Jesus favored His mom, and performed at least one unnecessary miracle to please her. The definition of Saint is merely that it is known by certain signs that they are in Heaven. So we ask them to intercede for us. Although personally, I would rather go straight to my dad

        29. He also spoke of being born again, and was asked, can a man re-enter the womb? Just because He was not understood at the time, doesn’t change the meaning.

      4. Don’t miss Holy Mass because the priest and parish suck. Two reasons:
        1) It’s a grave sin, which will condemn you to Hell.
        2) Ever the more reason to trouble your priest at Confession every Saturday when he snoozes at the confessional, and kneeling to receive Our Blessed Lord on the tongue when every other unrepentant sinner receives Communion on the hand. You can change hearts with correctly ordered zeal.

        1. what do you propose that Christians that are ALREADY remarried do? its my understanding of catholic dogma that they are damned. yet you cant dissolve a new marriage thats already been consummated,as it is another divorce and another sin.

        2. All Christians should live according to the Gospel and not according to their own desires.

        3. i agree… however, you went AROUND my question. you didnt answer it.
such a situation is very common. granted,im not catholic…i have however considered exploring Catholicism. thing is,ive never been married before, but my wife has. she got divorced because her husband was committing adultery and got another woman pregnant.
my understanding of Christs teaching on marriage and divorce is that divorce is legitimate if its on grounds of sexual immorality…

        4. I apologise for going around the question. The thing is that the Catholic Church views marriage as indissoluble. Even non Catholic Marriages. The only possible solution is to have her first Marriage ‘annulled’. That is that a Marriage Tribunal within the Church may issue a Decree of Nullity to say that the marriage was not valid from the start (as the Husband had no intention of fidelity for example). I sympathise with your situation and I desperately want you to join the Catholic Church however the first thing we must all do is submit to the Truth. I am sure you know what The Lord says about Divorce and Remarriage in St Matthew’s Gospel, Chapter 19. My advise for you is to live as brother and sister for the time being and pray the Holy Rosary.

        5. and let me go ahead and admit i wasnt a sinless person in this either btw…we first started talking they were still married, but having trouble because of his rampant adultery. they split up,and her and i were seeing one another before the divorce was finalized in court. i am a sinner, and i was wrong…her and i both admit what we did was wrong. however…THIS is the boat we’re in now.

        6. It is great that you are seeking the truth. Most people are too proud to examine themselves. I will pray for you. Don’t be too hard on yourself though because God will forgive everything. What led to my conversion to Catholicism was watching Marcus Grodi on EWTN and available on YouTube.

        7. thank you for your help sir…things should never be so complicated and confusing, but in a fallen world it puts people in very odd situations that would not exist were it not for sin abounding. im afraid peoples lives will only become more and more confusing as iniquity abounds more and more.
things like this though concern me,as i do not want to be out of the graces of God,but i do not want to leave her either…i couldnt. not after what the two of us have been through together.

        8. 6:12, read the following at Catholic Answer’s regarding your question on divorce. Pay specific attention to a sacramental marriage vs a natural marriage. A couple married within the Catholic Church by a Catholic Priest would enter into a sacramental marriage, all others would be a natural marriage as protestants quickly dropped most if not all of the sacraments when they separated in the 1500’s depending on what branch she was in.
          https://www.catholic.com/magazine/print-edition/did-jesus-allow-divorce-0

        9. Ephesians:
Do not marry this woman. You better read Matt 5:32, Matt. 19:9, Mark 10:11 and Luke 16:18 more closely. Marrying a divorced woman is adultery, period! There are no qualifiers.

        10. isnt her divorce justified since her previous spouse have committed adultry which is the only reason in which God accepts a divorce

        11. thats my understanding of it as well…from matthew 5 and 1 corinthians 7…

        1. Yes, you have a good point. I have a whole host of excuses, but in reality I need to either go to another parish or grit my teeth and keep going to this one. The biggest issue currently is that since I live in a heavily Hispanic area, practically every Church besides the one I mentioned holds Mass in Spanish. I either need to brush up on my Spanish or find another parish further away.

        2. Having not read this comment before I responded to your other, I live in one of the most Hispanic populated areas in the US and have found a true Roman Catholic Church. May I ask where you reside, myself writing from the south west, surrounded by hispanics.

        3. I live in Houston, and now that I look further into Latin Rite and Society of St Pius X, I see there’s a Latin Rite Chruch on the outskirts of the city and another parish with SSPX priests about 45 minutes south of the city. Might I ask which type of Church you attend? I’ve seen SSPX mentioned here before, done a cursory bit of research, and I’m intrigued.

        4. My church is simply a pre Vatican 2 Roman Catholic Church. Actively shunned by Rome. Service is a traditional Tridentine mass where the priests face the alter, back turned towards the pews, and all rites spoken in Latin. Eucharist delivered from priest’s hand to your mouth. No female scripture readers. Infact ALL women inside our church MUST west a veil.
I have heard good things about society of saint pious, go in for mass, you may find yourself a real gem. They are out there. Pre Vatican 2 is they key though. You want the church you attend to literally be excommunicated by the Papacy like mine own.
Edit: our priests also holds regular sermons refuting everything the Papacy has said or done in the last 60 years. This and calling out Francis the fools bullshit is very refreshing, although not traditional.

      5. I stopped being a catholic a week after this idiot became pope. Now I’m a christian. I have a lot of respect for the Orthodox Church.

      6. Ourladyofthesun.com
This is my church, go find one near you. We cannot flee the church at her most fragile hour. Ditch the Vatican embrace the Holy Mother Church.

      7. Went to a Latin Mass, and part of the priest’s homily was about how the Crusaders did nothing wrong. I’ll drive past numerous closer churches to get to that one on Sunday.

        1. True! Crusaders were only retaking what had been conquered by Muslim invaders
If it was Ok for Muslims to invade, then it was Ok for Crusaders to fight back. If it was wrong to fight back, then it was wrong to conquer too.
Simple answer, is leftists hate Christianity, and will even lie about history. The only things consistent about the left, is hate and lies

      8. as a catholic I am not there for a political message or homily. I am there for communion and to meet Sunday obligation to care what the priest says about immigration and then react sounds like a person who has been protestantnized

    3. Popes never knew how to interact with foreign invaders, you should read about the Cum non solum.

      1. Oh really?
The letters Pope Innocent sent pretty much said “Stop doing this because you’re making God angry.”
Don’t know if you realised or not, but the Mongolian Empire is now a footnote in history. The Catholic Church is not.

    4. That is because Francis is not the pope. I wrote an essay on this subject a while back and I will leave it here for you.
Why Francis is not a true Pope and why it matters.
A lot of talk has been going around recently about how “Pope” Francis is a globalist shill destroying Europe, pushing Marxism, helping to import millions of Muslim invaders, calling other religions valid while attacking the history of his own religion. Hardly a day goes by without this so called Pope spouting his mouth off in support of the latest Globalist talking point. Now an honest person is required when faced with such an assault upon his reason to ask himself “how can a Pope do such evil things?” Well the sad state of affairs is that a legitimate Pope cannot do these things, therefore while Francis may hold the outward title of Pope to many, he is in fact a pretender and to conflate his ideology with the Church is an error. In this article I will illuminate why this is using Church Law and history as it is my intent to stay away from the deeper theological ramifications that this discussion will inevitably bring up and thus avoid a Catholic vs. Protestant vs. whatever argument which would take away from the thrust of the article. I will then show why this is not an abstract exercise, but has real implications in today’s world.
How does one become Pope? The qualifications to be Pope are that one be male, a Catholic, and that one is elected by the College of Cardinals. To be Catholic i2s that one is baptized and professes the faith, that is he ascents to the doctrines and dogmas of the Church. To willfully disbelieve just one doctrine or dogma puts one outside of the faith and makes one a heretic as St. Thomas states: “[one] who disbelieves [even] one article of faith does not have faith, either formed or unformed”. This is why to willfully disbelieve an article of faith incurs automatic excommunication (Cannon 1364: 1. With due regard for can. 194, part 1, n. 2, an apostate from the faith, a heretic or a schismatic incurs automatic (latae sententiae) excommunication and if a cleric, he can also be punished by the penalties mentioned in can. 1336, part 1, nn. 1, 2, and 3 (1983 Code). Now if you think that the Catholic Church is being over zealous the practical reason for excommunicating someone who denies but a single dogma is this: the enemies of Catholicism try to destroy the faith one doctrine at a time thus they appear to be Catholics when in fact they are destroyers. This is why Pope Leo XIII said in Satis Cognitum: “There can be nothing more dangerous than those heretics who admit nearly the whole cycle of doctrine, and yet by one word, as with a drop of poison, infect the real and simple faith taught by our Lord and handed down by Apostolic tradition.” Therefore in order to be validly elected Pope, Francis would have to be a Catholic, which by definition means he professes the entirety of the faith. We know that Francis is not a Catholic and therefore could never have been validly elected Pope because of his actions while Cardinal. In Argentina he coauthored a heretical book with Rabbi Skorka (see: 1917 can. 2318 § 1) , approved of sodomite civil unions, conducted religious ceremonies with other religions, and hid the child sexual abuse of certain priests in the diocese, one of the four crimes that cry out to heaven for vengeance. (it seems Francis does judge homosexuals after all, very approvingly). Here is a good list of Francis’ heresies while in Argentina: http://www.calefactory.org/… Therefore because of Francis’ public and obstinate heresy he had formally judged himself to be outside of the Church and therefore could never have been validly elected pope as he was never a Catholic at the time of his supposed election. And just as a repudiation of Catholic doctrine removes one from the Church so would it remove one from even the Papacy.
The Purpose of the Pope is to be the stand in for Christ on earth therefore he carries with him the temporal authority of Christ, which is to say that all members of the church owe him submission as the supreme earthly authority. Furthermore the purpose of the Roman Pontiff is to prevent the Catholics from falling into error, which is to say false (anti-Christian) beliefs and practices. Thus it is a Dogma of the Faith that a Pope by the nature of his office cannot preach error in Faith or Morals. This is confirmed by the Doctor of the Faith St. Robert Bellermine when he says: “it is proven with arguments from authority and from reason that the manifest heretic is “ipso facto” (by the fact of) deposed.” Really this is the only argument that makes sense because the Pope as Christ’s representative on earth cannot lead the faithful away from Christ. Also he is the highest authority in the Church and cannot be judged by any power on earth, therefore the operation which would cause him to fall from office must be automatic. Furthermore for those who say well because the Pope is the highest authority why can’t he just change the teaching of the church? The Pope cannot change doctrine or Dogma as he would like. Doctrine and dogma are the teachings given to the Church from the Deposit of Faith, also called public revelation. Therefore it is beyond the power of the pope to change them. Thus when Francis has said and done these things: “I feel like saying something that may sound controversial, or even heretical, perhaps.” Calling evangelizing a sin against ecumenism, organizing and presiding of the Assisi conference, praising Martin Luther & publicly worshiping with Lutherans, claiming there is no Catholic God, encouraging holy communion for adulterers, saying atheists and non-Catholics have sanctifying grace, and many more heresies he would have automatically deposed himself as Pope if he had had the office in the first place.
To understand why Francis’ fauxtificate is pertinent to the world we need to need look no further than the greatest accomplishment of one very egotistical man: Donald Trump. His greatest accomplishment thus far has been to destroy the narrative of the Globalists. Now what Donald Trump has done only nationally a true Pope can do Internationally and with much greater force. I say this not only because the pretender Francis is now the leading voice of Globalism in the world, but because a Pope occupies the see of moral authority in the world. And while it may seem to American readers that the Papacy is a shell office (in large parts thanks to V2 which I will discuss in another article) a Pope does carry real weight and power in world affairs. Remember the paradigm that man owes his loyalty first to God then to Family and then to country. In our materialistic clime and place this may seem archaic, but it is still believed ardently by large portion of the world. Thus to replace his Marxist Blathering with the true dogmatic teaching of the Church would strike a crippling blow to the narrative because it would destroy in totality the moral high ground upon which the narrative claims to operate.
So what would a real pontiff would do under the circumstances we face today? To know this all we need do is to compare the past encyclicals of Popes and the doctrinal teaching of the Church.
With the crime of abortion, instead of blathering on about mercy and encounter a Pope would instead condemn and excommunicate practitioners. Canon 1398 provides that, “a person who procures a successful abortion incurs an automatic (latae sententiae) excommunication.” This means that at the very moment that the abortion is successfully accomplished, the woman and all formal conspirators are excommunicated. That’s right every single Catholic Democrat would be excommunicated from the Church, no more hearing Nancy Pelosi sanctimoniously drone on about how she is a good Catholic grandmother. Furthermore there would be no appeal to choice as a pontiff, by excommunication, would establish the moral certitude with regard to this action.
A real pontiff confronted by today’s Marxism would condemn it and take the strongest actions possible to eradicate it. When the 2nd Vatican Council was called the a super-majority of bishops wrote that the council should be convened to condemn communism, and without Pius XII valiant efforts communism would have prevailed over postwar France and Italy. Think therefore how much good a real Pope would do against today’s Marxism when a real Pope took on the power of the Soviet Union after it had fought WWII and was victorious in those countries.
A real Pope would condemn the false ideas of the 18th century philosophers: ecumenism, collegiality, rationalism, syncranism, and naturalism. These ideologies represent the groundwork of globalism, they fully humanistic and designate man as the arbitrator of right and wrong. Thus through these Ideas have movements like socialism, and feminism found the fertile ground the need to grow because they reject traditional morality by placing man and his interior motives at the highest order of good. (Pius IX: Syllabus of Errors)
The current Muslim invasion of Europe would be met with the utmost resistance. It has always been the Church which has sought to safeguard Catholic Culture and in ages past has gone so far as to issue a call to arms against non-Catholics who have sought to destroy it. Pope Urban II issued the Crusades, Pope Leo the great even went so far as to personally travel into the heart of the Hun army, to Attila himself to deliver Rome from the sack that was to come. In 1571 St. Pope Pius V formed the Holy League that would go on to defeat the great Muslim Turkish Armada that was plaguing the Mediterranean; compare this to Francis who’s priests set up Muslim “refugee” boats as Altars and nativity scenes.
A Pope would condemn feminism in the strongest terms. It is a fact There cannot exist feminism without birth control and a Pope would enforce the teaching of the Church in regards to contraceptives: “any use whatsoever of matrimony exercised in such a way that the act is deliberately frustrated in its natural power to generate life is an offense against the law of God and of nature, and those who indulge in such are branded with the guilt of a grave sin.(Pius XI Casti Cannubi)” A Pope would assert that Man is the head of the household and that a woman finds her vocation from being a good mother and housewife: “This … does not deny or take away the liberty which fully belongs to the woman both in view of her dignity as a human person, and in view of her most noble office as wife and mother and companion; nor does it bid her obey her husband’s every request if not in harmony with right reason or with the dignity due to wife; … For if the man is the head, the woman is the heart, and as he occupies the chief place in ruling, so she may and ought to claim for herself the chief place in love (Ibid).” A true Pope if he were bold enough may go so far as to condemn the entirety of women’s sufferage St. Pius X: “Woman can never be man’s equal and cannot therefore enjoy equal rights. Few women would ever desire to legislate, and those who did would only be classed as eccentrics.”
America is roughly 20 percent Catholic, a real Pope would force liberals, especially feminists, to choose whether they were Liberals or Catholics because if a real Pope reigned they could never claim to be both. A true Pope would be the sword that Jesus spoke of in Mathew 10:34 “Do not think that I am come to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword.” That sword, long and keen, would cleave away the faithful from their false ideologies or the faithless from the Church. In an age where presidential elections are decided by 1 or 2 percent of the vote to force this sword upon the Catholics of this country, and the world would be devastating to the globalists.
*I have used the 1983 code of canon law canon 1364 & 1398 to demonstrate that even by conciliar church standards Francis cannot be a pope, this particular canon is a repetition of the true 1917 Code of Canon Law which is far more stringent and has even more occasions for latae sentenciae excommuniations. Here is a good comparison of the two: http://www.traditioninactio

      1. “it is my intent to stay away from the deeper theological ramifications
that this discussion will inevitably bring up and thus avoid a Catholic
vs. Protestant vs. whatever argument which would take away from the
        thrust of the article.”
Yes… in argument, one can do this, or try to. But how do you avoid it in the real world? I have great sympathy for Christianity in The West but… all the comments to this post only prove concretely just how much of a challenge getting people back in the church will be. Assuming of course… you can get them to believe in God in the first place. That really is the task ahead for Christians in my view. They have to prove God exists to a modern 21st century western mind. Without God, there can be no discussion of Jesus and Christianity. (And you can see how to a Christian, that would not make sense.)

        1. Ya it’s a challenge especially since I didn’t want to write 10 extra pages.

        2. //They have to prove God exists to a modern 21st century western mind//
This book is an easy read and deals with all the questions, including why the God of the Bible is the true God, based on logic and documented facts: I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist, by Norman Geisler
          If you want hard evidence for God, as far as scientific evidence goes, then try this book;
Without Excuse (2011), by Prof. Dr. Werner Gitt
Werner Gitt was Head of the Department of Information Technology at the German Federal Institute of Physics and Technology.
Melanie Phillips, one of the first to warn about Islam and Muslim mass immigration (Londonistan, 2006), was a secular Jew, but is now a believer and use Werner Gitt as her main argument for God in her book; The World Turned Upside Down (2011).

      2. The problem with your argument is that heresy does not disqualift a pope.
If you had evidence of some massive irregularities in how he was selected, I might believe you. But he is legitimate head of the institution, despite his many heresies, so he is technically the pope.
The church has seen far worse popes, but they were also legitimate.

    5. I grew up as a Catholic, but since Vatican 2 It is not with what I grew up & today with the Satan’s mignon in Vatican ?? Even less Catholic ?? How can I be with homo-paedohiles, & Satanist in communion ??

      1. Find a pre Vatican II, Sedevacantist church with a traditional Tridentine mass.

        1. I’m young but have ran wild, seen too much. Not much goes over my mind. To be complete, nothing goes over my head. I experience, observe, read, think, meditate too much. Always ina different order always favoring one or the other, activity or sedentary. This polar shift in lifestyle all in accordance with the unfolding of the soul, the souls, journey, its manifestation, and its prenatal infinite experience with all that is unmanifested and all that is manifested, both always but also neither always. If your mind is analytical, modern, and scientific reason based, E= mc squared should explain this good. Good and Evil. Pain and pleasure. Heroism and cowardice. Activity and rest. All exist equally and dependent on the other. Sometimes pain is more numerous, sometimes pleasure, always everywhere, whether on the macro or mirror level and view do these opposing forces balance out. “Time” may be need, but the flow of energy, all originating flowing out of, flowing back to, all this the Divine’s property. He owns all. Bad and Evil. love and hate.
Man thought himself fine without the original, unperishable one, so He cannot help but give man his fruits, no matter what his desire and its action was, even a serial killer. Man now knows Hate and. Such.
If. You read all this and would like to continue our potentially fruitful discussion, I will go into compressive detail of my view of our faith, the one true Faith of all man’s history, forgotten, and then graced upon us through perfection and purity in a male human body. Never having been tainted and forced to regain our innocence, he was never uninnocent before, during or after He manifested as Adam, lived his state, never falling from eden, stronger than the impulse to eat the the fruit of Self worth, which is really the cult of I, mine, me, insert name.
All these words flowed from me with no intention, or will of my one.
If it seems a little unfocused and reads like a ramble, I offer my sincere apologies. Just got off a 12 hour day in kitchen cooking, add this to the fact that I’m walking out of my house after I type these last words, it is late here but I have people to see and conversations on this very topic you and I, well mostly I, speak.
I will send you another mini essay with the next 8 hours, if ur in the states, which I don’t believe, it will be early morning, in Western Europe, most likely, the evening?
If in South America, well you still have traditional women, as far from grace as they may be, so be happier than I, here in a country with nothing, only everything too. God Wills it.

        2. Such a nice people ?? The Light Upon Nations …
A History of the Jews, a
          list of expulsions
          for 2000 years
          This historical background of
          centuries of
anti-Semitism eventually exploded in the 20th century “Holocaust”. The
hostility and hatred manifested in the holocaust was therefore not new.
As we have stated ancient writings contain much anti-Semitism. In
          pre-Roman
times most people did not read or write. At times, Rome tried to
          eradicate
Judaism and “Jewishness”. Followers were assumed to be treasonous and
          subversive.
This in turn led to major revolts on the part of the Jewish
          community.
          The following is a brief
          summary of Incidents
          involving Jews in History…
          135 B.C
          Antiochus Epiphanes desecrates
          Second
Jewish Temple; leading to Hasmonean Revolt against the Greeks.
          70 A.D.
          Titus took Jerusalem – second
          revolt.
          Over one million Jews killed.
          136 A.D.
          580,000 men destroyed, 985
          towns destroyed
          – third revolt.
          300 A.D.
          Purim festival celebrating
          God’s deliverance
to Mordecai and the Jews through Esther and the fasting. Lies spread
          that
Jews kill Christians for sacrifice. Emperor Severus also said the Jews
purchased 90,000 Christians to kill them.
          306 A.D.
          Council in Spain banned
          Christians &
          Jews meeting or marrying.
          325 A.D.
          Constantine changed the
          celebration of
Easter on the calendar so that it did not coincide with the Jewish
          Passover.
          379 A.D.
          Vicious writing by St. John
          Chrysostom
and St. Ambrose in Milan who said: “The Jews are the most worthless of
all men. They are lecherous, greedy, rapacious. They are perfidious
          murderers
of Christ. They worship the Devil. Their religion is a sickness. The
          Jews
are the odious assassins of Christ and for killing God there is no
          expiation
possible, no indulgence or pardon. Christians may never cease
          vengeance,
and the Jew must live in servitude forever. God always hated the Jews.
It is essential that all Christians hate them.” He was called the
          Bishop
with the Golden Tongue. St. Ambrose, Bishop of the Church offered to
          burn
          the synagogue himself.
          395 A.D.
          St. Gregory of Nyssa in
          sermons and writings
characterized Jews as assassins of the Prophets, companions of the
          Devil,
a race of vipers, a Sanhedrin of Demons, enemies of all that is
          beautiful,
hogs and goats in their lewd grossness.
          415 A.D.
          Bishop Severus BURNED THE
          SYNAGOGUE IN
THE VILLAGE OF MAGONA. BISHOP OF
          ALEXANDRIA, ST. CYRIL EXPELLED
          JEWS FROM
ALEXANDRIA AND GAVE THE MOB JEWISH PROPERTY.
          ACCUSATION of Ritual murder by
          the Jews
during Purim. Christians confiscated synagogues in ANTIOCH.
          These were not hooligans but
          Church Fathers!
          AUGUSTINE, JEROME, AMBROSE AND
          LESSER
SAINTS AS ST. CHRYSOSTROM AND CYRIL, added to untruths the new ones
          that
Jews were dishonest and prone to sexual perversions.
          717 A.D.
          Jews had to wear special
          yellow garb.
          Originated in Islam.
          1012 A.D.
          Emperor Henry II of Germany
          expels Jews
from Mainz, the beginning of persecutions against Jews in Germany.
          1096 A.D.
          First Crusade. Crusaders
          massacre the
          Jews of the Rhineland.
          1144 A.D.
          First recorded blood libel. In
          Norwich
it was alleged that the Jews had “bought a Christian child before
          Easter,
tortured him with all the tortures wherewith our Lord was tortured and
on Friday hanged him on a rood in hatred of our Lord.” (England)
          This notorious allegation that
          Jews murder
non-Jews, especially Christians, in order to obtain blood for the
          Passover
or other rituals is a complex of deliberate lies, trumped up
          accusations,
and popular beliefs about the murder-lust of the Jews and their
          blood-thirstiness,
based on the conception that Jews hate Christianity and mankind in
          general.
It is combined with the delusion that Jews are in some way not human
          and
must have recourse to special remedies and subterfuges in order to
          appear
at least outwardly, like other men. The blood libel led to trials and
          massacres
of Jews. Its origin is rooted in ancient almost primordial, concepts
          concerning
the potency and energies of blood. It is one of the most terrible
          expressions
of human cruelty and credulity. These blood rituals are expressly
          forbidden
in Judaism. (See Leviticus 17;11 etc.)
          1190 A.D.
          Massacre of Jews in
          England.
          1215 A.D.
          The Jewish badge
          introduced.
          1240 A.D.
          Talmud burned in France.
          1290 A.D.

          England.
          1298 A.D.
          Massacre of thousands in
          Germany, in 146
          localities.

          In the 14th
and 15th centuries the Inquisition was more intense because the Church
and State joined forces. Just being Jewish guaranteed persecution

          Venice initiates the ghetto,
          the first
          in Christian Europe.
          1544 A.D.
The Reformation. At the end of
          Martin
Luther’s life the German reformer vilified the Jews in violent
          pamphlets
which could not fail to exert their influence. But because Calvinists
          were
steeped in Old Testament theology, the Dutch people respected the Jews
as “the Chosen” people; and were not anti-Semitic in their faith. The
          reformation
was a time of turmoil as the Roman Church and feudalism lost their
          supremacy.
There was a rising up of Nationhood and Luther was a German
          nationalist.
The Talmud was seized and burned everywhere by Papal authority. Jews in
Catholic countries and Polish Jews suffered greatly. Luther’s
          anti-Semitic
writings were later used in anti-Semitic literature.
          1553 A.D.
          Rome seized and burned the
          Talmud by order
          of the POPE.
          1559 A.D.
          12,000 copies of Talmud burned
          in Milan.
          1569 A.D.
POPE PIUS V ordered all Jews
          out of the
          Papal states.

          EXPULSIONS from Italy and
          Bavaria.
          1598 A.D.
          Ritual murder charge that sent
          three Jews
to their deaths. Execution of the supposed guilty was done by
          QUARTERING.
(In his book the “Birth of the Prison” Michel Foucault describes at
          length
the quartering of a condemned man in 1757. It was done eventually by
          six
horses instead of the four original ones and other means had to come in
to play due to the failure even of six horses as the prisoners limbs
          were
tied to ropes harnessed to the horses. Each horse pulled in a different
direction. One horse fell to the ground unsuccessfully. Knives had to
          be
          used for severing…)

child was seriously ill and the church of Rome seized the child. Outcry
had no effect on the POPE.

          Word anti-Semitism comes into
          existence.
          1881 A.D.
POGROMS BEGAN. The word is of
          Russian
origin. It designates attack, accompanied by destruction, looting of
          property,
murder, rape. There were three major outbreaks in Russia. The word
          designates
more particularly the attacks carried out by the Christian population.
Each pogrom surpassed the other in savagery.
          KIEV, ODESSA; Here murder of
          whole families
was a common occurrence. Partial data are available for 530 communities
in which 887 major pogroms and 349 minor pogroms occurred. There were

APPEARANCE of a new issue of
          the PROTOCOLS
OF THE ELDERS OF ZION. In Russia.
          This spectre of a worldwide
          Jewish conspiracy
aiming at reducing the Gentiles to slavery or extermination loomed up
          in
the medieval Christian imagination and grew out of legends about well
          poisonings
and plague spreading. It was concocted in Paris by an unknown author
          working
for the Russian secret police. It was an alleged conference of the
          leaders
of World Jewry. It was translated into all the world languages. In 1963
a Spanish edition was published. During World War II, the Protocols of
the elders of Zion became an implicit justification for the GENOCIDE of
the Jews and Nazi propaganda relied on them until the last days of the
Third Reich. Smaller pamphlets of it have been distributed in B.C. 1983
published in California… Required reading in most Arab countries, in
          schools, to this day.

    6. You know that the communist party tried to destroy religion from the beginning? They flooded the seminary, the theological schools and so on with communists.
So saying “they are to leftist i am going away” ist EXACTLY what they want you to do. You should kick the leftist out of the church… .Not leaving the church.

      1. Communism wanted to be the religion. We saw how well that worked…
“So saying “they are to leftist i am going away” ist EXACTLY what they want you to do. You should kick the leftist out of the church… .Not leaving the church.”
I see that as the same with everything. Especially on the base level of a neighborhood starting to go bad. You can either stand up for your way of life and protect it, or you can tuck your tail and leave looking for a better place where you don’t have to have conflict. The latter choice is for the spineless.
When you have a group of people willing to leave instead of fight, all it takes is one vocal/active person to change any situation.

        1. The flaw with communism is the unsustainable economic model that goes against human nature, not the absence of blind faith in supernatural beings.

        2. agreed…however the last part is far from true.. in my experience(some unethical things i saw going on in my workplace),i would call it out for what it is and stand up,and everybody would agree with me and say theyre behind me. BUT…when push came to shove they were nowhere to be found because they were scared spineless cowards. i was like Uriah and they pulled the troops back. needless to say i didnt work there much longer after that.

    7. If youre interested, there are a few clips on u tube featuring Father Malachi Martin you could check out- the Church hasnt been the same since ’58 or ’59…

      1. Read his book, “Hostage to the Devil” a couple of years ago. I believe his last book was describing the infilitration of communists. I recall after “reforms” and Vatican II he becaome disillusioned with the Church and was released from some of his vows.
        Intersting guy.

    8. I have actively participated in two Buddhist weekend retreats. The monk was a personal servant to HH the DL. It is an amazing tradition but… for its non-violence. What the Communists did when they came in is nothing short of genocide of a people, physically and spiritually. They did try to fight back… but they simply had no weapons to do so, not for the time the needed them.
That said… what Tibet DID have… was pure paradise. On top of the world… hidden away from the modern world as late as 1950!!!!… you had a people who did nothing but work the land, pray for release from suffering, and do no harm to anyone.
In contrast to the three Abrahamic faiths… it does give one pause to think and reflect.

      1. I admire Buddhism as a philosophy and way of life, especially as someone who is mostly secular myself.
It was a bit of a rude and uninformed thing for me to say tbh, but my basic point is that this kind of peace-loving civilization will eventually be overtaken by a more ruthless one. If a civilization wants longevity, it needs to honour its warrior class before the barbarians arrive at the gates.

        1. Warrior class. See Japan. Buddhist/Shinto with an intact culture and a land of peace. Never in my travels (and they are limited I will admit) have I ever felt so safe among nearly 90 million people going about there day in Tokyo. If the world was Japanese, there would be no war, everyone would smile, and porn would be in comics???? LOL Ah… I guess they do have their negative side.

        2. Except World War 2 disproves that. The Japs sided with Hitler and attacked their former American and Chinese allies.

    9. Went to a Catholic funeral earlier this week, and I noticed all the responses the parishioners say back to the priest have changed, and theyve removed most gendered pronoun references to God as He/Him/His, etc.
Also the priest gave a soundbyte for “refugees”. Glad I self-emancipated from Catholicism over 2 decades ago. Shit is weak AF and muddles the message of Christ with a bunch of ritualistic flotsam. Lets not forget the GUILT as well. It took me forever to get over Catholic guilt.

        1. years and years of entryism + the existence of lobbies. The last serious Pope was Clement, the last true Pope was Benedict the rest in between and after were frauds, bigger or smaller who wanted to destroy the Church either due to them being part or being friendly to skypes or worse being outright Marxists.

        2. These are not Catholic Churches, my friend. Go online and read and watch videos where available of Pre Vatican II, Sedevacantist, Tridentine Latin Mass churches. This is the Roman Catholic Faith, the one you have never been showed. The one stolen from us.

      1. Welcome back, maybe if you never left it would be better. However the responses are a return to Orthodoxy and were put into place by Pope Benedict XVI. They are a literal translation of the Latin. The first shots fired in a bid to reestablish the Beautiful Tridentine Mass.

    10. What I believe to be the strongest thing in the Orthodox Church is the fact that we keep the rites: if you cannot for example fast 40 days you are obliged to fast at least the last week, The communion cannot change and a non-Christian cannot enter it, Marriages are always blessed and are strictly only between men and women with the pray implying that men are the head of the household etc. The cherry on top of the cake is the beauty of the inside of the churches, in Greece at least: All the walls are covered in mosaics! and all the windows use stained glass, albeit with simpler formations! You see never having went through the enlightenment we never thought stained glass for being dirty!
Lastly there is confession: the orthodox priest wants you to change and act by that change! No amount of pater noster will fix you if you don’t change or at least moderate.

      1. I’m friends with an Orthodox family and I really like their approach. The mom paints Christian iconography and they are generally more cultured in general. Might be because they are Eastern European immigrants. The Catholic church seems confused in trying to adapt itself to the modern world, and is afraid to call out things that are blatantly anti-Christian.
Seems like Orthodox has insulated itself, and for the better.

        1. Not all orthodox churches are good, while you will not see any that the catholic misdo or even worse the protestants, the Greek one is highly problematic, once I was even considering of becoming Catholic but I remained skeptic due to pope Jon-Paul II then Bergorio happened and tottaly forgot the idea…
The orthodox Churches, with the exception of the Greek one and some Arab ones, do not follow the patriarchate, it is situated in Turkey, or even listen to it. In reality the Churches are independent and so if one’s infiltrated the other are safe. The final insulation though was due to losing the enlightenment. Again with the exception of Greece, the pagan-o-mania that hit the rest of the civilized world did not touch the orthodox churches and this lead to them NEVER accepting the spiritual disease of humanism!
Greece is exempt from that (but not entirely as it is the most chaotic) because we Greeks suffer from archaeomania: we are delusional with everything concerning ancient Greece. Humanism, for example, was sold as a common belief of the ancient Greeks, it is true but only few individuals did believe in anything close. Materialism and hedonism were sold as beliefs that the ancients did believe in based upon a partial read of the remnants of Epicurus, who believed that we need to live a moderated life based around minimal pleasure so that we may never suffer hangovers, the moderation part was always dropped and it was never said that epicurus was the odd one out and only marginally successful. For God’s sake even feminism was said to us that was championed by the ancients: a blatant lie to anyone who has studied ancient Greek culture! This last thing is something that only a nobody on youtube did post: but he even said that polyamory and polygamy WERE CHAMPIONED BY THE GREEKS AND JEWS WHO WERE POLYGAMISTS DID ENFORCE MONOGAMY,THROUGH CHRISTIANITY, SO THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE MISERABLE! Needless to say Greeks were against polygamy as the children are completely surrendered to the women to raise, while they were believe to be only good for nurturing them.
Orthodoxy did hold back these advancements but having spin-doctors that delivered to the youth inside the universities whatever they wanted to hear while no one did fight these wackos made Greece the ONLY orthodox country that did somewhat absorb the enlightenment, still only by effect. In the end I understood that it wasn’t so much a failing of the Church and in the end it was a failing of society in general, so after that i was completely rehabilitated to Orthodoxy.

        2. J Paul II had the right mix of inclusiveness and loyalty to Christianity from what I remember.

        3. EH-Hemm he probably was a skype from Poland and he allowed the sex scandals inside the church to blow up by refusing to investigate. Lastly Bergorio would not have been able to come to power if it wasn’t for his rule. The church should not be inclusive, you come to it, you may allow some leniency only to people of a different taste (bikers, metal-fans etc) but never one should fall down to get to them. The Church also attracts in many cases degenerates that feel bad about their actions, should it become degenerate to include them? The question is only rhetoric here but it is the natural conclusion of inclusiveness. In the end the greatest work that John-Paul II did was to ski…

        4. I didn’t know there was so much controversy around JP.
I just remember how popular he was when I was a teenager.
I’m not really surprised though to be honest… These high level priests probably live in another world.

        5. Ratzigger was the last traditionalist Pope that is why he was smeared nearly from the start, specifically the fact that he was called a nazi, in the end he was ousted for that reason. His butler claimed, and I believe him, that he took the blame for money laundering so that he could save the Pope who was innocent and that the attack came from the homosexual lobby. Guess what the homosexual lobby is strong with the Jesuits. The People’s Pope Francis the marxist is a Jesuit.
In general be skeptic around democratic popularity: a religious leader does not exist to ski and look cool but to do work: keep the rites and build on them, strengthen the church and it’s pilgrims while protecting them and if possible try to ease tensions between religions. John-Paul II did nothing of that or very few, while Ratziger did try to do something as for religious tensions think how many terrorists and refugees we had then and how many now. Coincidence? I think not! (I am not saying that he was the sole reason for that but one of the positive factors)
On a side-note here the last good arch-bishop we had in Greece, who did manage to bring the youth back to the Church, with the motto: come here (i.e. the Church) with tore Jeans and even the earing (Men’s implied) was… also a homosexual. That still has me scratching my head. Still he was the last one that fought some times when needed the government, today our socialist (or anarchist) arch-bishop, not only did abandon the youth-returning-to-the-Church program but also when we had a government of atheists that did vote to bring cohabitation contracts to homosexuals he did nothing. When that was even hinted to be tried the Orthodox Churches of Romania, Moldova and or Bulgaria (2 of the 3 but I forgot which) gave an anathema (a very serious curse) to the whole government of their respective countries.

      1. Why? So we can be in the embrace of the Greeks, who embraced Socialism? Or the Middle Eastern Orthodox who are slaves to Islam? Or the Russians, whose Church is reliant on the government to support?

        1. The political mores of the Greeks outside of church is irrelevant.
The middle eastern orthodox have been there since Christ – I’m not too worried about them
And the Orthodox Church in Russia has survived unchanged through czars, commies and whatever it is they have now.
It will endure because it eschews politics.

        2. The Middle Eastern Orthodox are getting closer and closer to the Pope.
The Orthodox Church in Russia underwent many changes. First was the reformation under Patriarch Nikon, which caused paganized members of the Russian Church to freak out and run to Siberia. Then Peter the Great guts Church leadership and places a bureaucrat in the leadership of the Church. Then later, they allowed Stalin, an ex-seminarian and an avowed atheist, to consecrate Church hierarchy. The Orthodox Church is always a tool of politics and politicians, whether they be Byzantine Emperors, Russian Czars, Soviet Commisars, or ex-KGB agents…..

    11. Little OT – how much have you read about Tibet and its fight against Chinese occupation and Dalailamas role in it?
I wouldnt call modern church similar to buddhist philosophy, not at all when it comes to armed resistance, after all, we do live in christion world and we pretty much like to go to war and bomb the shit out of 3rd world countries, so were not that peaceful to begin with.

    12. Same here. I left the church, only to return less than two years ago. This was sparked after a long search studying all the worlds religions. It finally hit me that the culmination of the truth of all religion is completely embodied in the Roman Catholic Church of the Middle Ages. Study the true church up untill the degeneration and Protestant split.
I have recentantly discovered a pre vatican II, Sedevancatist, Tridentine mass church. I hope you look for one around you, as well, brother. The truth and faith are strong, and although only a small minority may embody it, we have all local power.

    13. He did. The Pope wants ISIS dead, and recognizes the right of secular leaders to keep refugees out.

  12. Yes goyim, our fake cucked alien middle eastern religion, called christianity will save europe …
Our orthodox alien middle eastern religion & putin, will magically turn your white whores into born again virgins …
Scamming goyim with our fake orthodox alien theocracy, even though our fake religions produce absolutely nothing, the gullible goyim roll the shekels into our jew hands …
The goyim so gullible, so cucked with our fake alien religions …
The jewing of cucked orthodox fake alien middle eastern, faggot christians continues …

        1. Most SJWs are mostly spoiled, atheistic, drug addicts. And if you haven’t noticed the Christians in the Alt-Right then you are beginning to sound much more like Fed informant trying stur up trouble.

        2. Dang, troll gonna troll.
SJW’s are almost monolithically atheist. Have you ever actually met one in real life?

        3. No, they’re not, the faith is almost dead there (in Western Europe).

        4. You must literally be a retard. Have you had your daily burger?
          A) Eastern Europe tends to have more practicing Christians, for example Poland has church attendance in excess of 80%. They haven’t let a single migrant in
          B) Western Europe has practically nobody in church, and has become more atheistic every single year. Is cucked. lol.
Now, go to bed kid. Adults are talking

        5. It’s actually a commie/capitalist social divide.
Commies don’t give stuff away, Capitalists are charitable.

        6. Most I know harbor some sort of nonsense spirituality – a mix of new age bullshit, paganism(modern), wiccan, or any of that ilk. Even the ones claiming atheism are still “spiritual”.
They want to be part of something, just not mainstream thought or ideals because their hippy parents, or grandparents, taught them to hate Western civilization.
So they gravitate to whatever is flashy, easy to understand without having to actually think, and makes them feel good in front of other civilization haters.

        7. That’s the BEST part! Communism is rank materialism, focused on someone elses’ material!

      1. He’s a young kid who is enamored with dictatorship. He has no real life experience beyond what he’s read on the internet. He’s not a bad kid probably, but he clearly is in the “ideal world” phase of life.

  13. As Orthodox myself, this was a real pleasure to read. Thank you, and I wish you all the best on your spiritual journey.
There is one thing I feel would have augmented the article and that was a discussion of why the Orthodox Church has remained unchanged for so long, and has never has a Vatican II equivalent. The weight in Orthodoxy given the past was extremely attractive for me, because it is not the living who speak loudest in the faith, but the dead, who are more numerous. To the Orthodox mind, the Tradition is what it is, and to reject it in favor of some reform would be to renounce those great men of church history who believed differently. This is why Bloomberg writes articles like “Orthodox Church stays in the Dark Ages” (lol). I have more info on this here:
    https://citadelfoundations.wordpress.com/2016/06/09/the-voice-of-the-dead/
Godspeed. Perhaps Spengler was right, maybe Europe will get her vigor back from the great white east.

    1. As an orthodox *cuck* whose religion failed miserably at protecting traditionalism & the family structure in most western countries, as they were too busy rolling over for leftists, feminists & jews …
      Slight correction …

      1. I’m rating this comment a 0.5/10, docking some points for repetition which shows lack of creativity. Actually knocking it down to 0.4/10 because you have mgtow in your username.
CORRECTION: Going to 0.2/10 because you weirdly think Orthodoxy is a major religion in western countries, leading me to wonder if you have ever left your trailer

        1. ….. if you have ever left mommy’s basement.
          Fixed it for ya!
(You can have an astounding time in a trailer, as long as it’s not mom’s trailer)

        2. This was the comment of the week, he really has been repeating the same sentence here.

    2. I think I did my best to show this… but your comment cemented why I think the Orthodox is the only way forward for unity. “Dark Age” Christianity… might become very appealing very soon to a lot of people. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the article and I am glad it is receiving good responses.

  14. This article takes a utilitarian view of having faith which is to say the author wants us to reap the benefits of faith without actually believing.
EDIT: I reread the article and my original impression is a bit too strong. I still think you are looking at religion through the lense of “what can religion do for me?” Rather than if said religion is objectively true or not. Because the truthfulness of a religion is its validity.
I also think you make the mistake of conflating the Vatican hierarchy with Catholicism, which they are very much opposed to. Much like with the institutions in our country leftists took over the institutions of the Catholic Church. However the faith still remains although it is much diminished in numbers.
As a side note I really did enjoy the thought and reasoning you put behind your article and you did make some fair points.

    1. Believing what? A god gives birth to himself, gets himself nailed to two planks of wood?
The god dies, even though he’s a god & cant die ?
You fanatical catholics do way too much drugs, to believe in a book so faked, it doesnt make sense because it contains hundreds of opposing ideologies of transcribers paid to create a fake history for a fake religion …

        1. He’s angry, feels powerless, and wants some strong force to take charge of his failures for him, a la a dictator. He’s the same as a SJW in many ways.

        2. He would have chosen Kim Jong Un as his avatar if only he could believe the dictator of North Korea was a real person.

      1. Life is funny: I completely understand how atheists must feel when they talk to born again evangelicals.

        1. I do feel sorry for americans whose only experience of Christianity is these crazy fundamentalist ‘churches’ who would have been burned in 900 AD for heresy.

        2. A typical religous nonsensical response from a fanatical catholic, who believes in a guy nailed to two planks of wood …
Try harder, next you’ll be telling us the joys of impregnating women through immaculate conception … lmao

        3. You’re not smart enough to understand that constantly antagonizing the readership will get you blocked here. If you’re not smart enough to understand that, you’re not smart enough to make rational posts.

        4. I always found trying to impregnate women enjoyable.
No need for god to help me with that.

        5. And thats exactly the point. It is not about sex, porn, fucking. It is about higher “beeing” touching spiritually an young woman.
          You are just primitive.

        6. There was me thinking it was all about reproduction.
Gotta say, you and your touchy, feely, spirituality sound a bit of a girly cuck.

      2. God gives Maria the opportunity giving birth.
He did not nailed himself on two planks – he was nailed on the cross by roman soldiers.
Jesus Christ dies and is three days in the hell preaching gods word and releasing the old rightous people from pre-hell.
The Bible is not the word of God, Jesus is the word of god. And the Bible does not contain opposing ideologies and no fake history.
You don’t really fake an story where every man fails, the highest follower of christ run away, betray him and lied. Thats a no-go for an “cool fake history”. It is not generating followers but people like you laughting loud.
So this story is not fake. They betrayed him, they did not believed him, they spit on him, they killed him – and HE WON. 🙂
If you want to see an fake religion then you need to search for an powerfull warlord, gaining money, power and lots of woman – having sex, killing lots of enemies an denforcing the others to the right religion…….

        1. The only thing real about the Bible is the paper it’s printed on and that is thin and questionable.

        2. Belief in imaginary super beings is childish. Throw your comicbook away and grow up.

        3. So you don’t belive that Truth, Freedom and Love (not Sex) is universal and applies to everyone? Mathematics does not exist?
So you don’t believe that the human mind can understand everything what appears in the reality?
It is nothing childish in learning how the super being outside of time and space exist. And that eternal responsibility and the virtue of searching and loving of truth pushes you forward and forward until you understand that “the truth” has a consciousness.
          For two reasons:
          1. We have consciousness and everything we see has a reason.
          2. Because an “truth” would be more truth if this truth wold know itself as truth.
Thats beyond of childish “stupido i dont understand”, this are deep questions.

    2. I won’t delve into proof/truth for this post. I want to leave that to the Christians to debate and I am not the one to argue for it, per se. This post was just my take, as an outsider looking in, to what could be a possible road map forward for Christianity in The West.
“I still think you are looking at religion through the lense of “what can religion do for me?”
Actually… and I know you are going to flip on me for saying this considering our great exchanges last time… but does the “truth” of a faith matter IF IT WORKS?
This bypasses ALL the arguments over which Christianity to choose… if you can PROVE that it works. What kept Christianity strong and effective for The West WAS blind faith. Theology was, for the masses, not of any real interest. It worked… they believed… and the rest is history (truly).
The real problem with Christianity today is no one believes it is true… because… it does not seem to work to make people feel better about themselves and the world. People turn to a faith for solace to ultimate questions, and Christianity is failing that call as of now, as practiced historically, in The West.
I actually would like to see Catholicism revive but this current Pope… my God. What did Catholics do to deserve this guy? Or is this God’s way of waking them up?
Glad you gave it a full read and updated your comment. I wanted to show I can see both sides of the argument for faith to return to The West. I don’t want it to be Islam, but for it to be Christianity… I think you can tell from the other comments that my theory of Christianity needing a bonafide miracle is dead on.

      1. “Actually… and I know you are going to flip on me for saying this considering our great exchanges last time… but does the “truth” of a faith matter IF IT WORKS?” I think you know what the arguments I will make against this are so I will spare us the debate.
I don’t think though that people were blindly faithful. Yes most people were illiterate, but that doesn’t mean that they were ignorant. Come to think of it they lived in an age without: TV, mass entertainment, public schools, working outside of the home, and broken households. Furthermore the Churh was intimately involved in most all aspects of life back then so I will make the leap and say that I think they’re religious education far exceeded our own.
Yes I do think that God has given us Francis and by extension all of the Vatican 2 antipopes as a punishment for our unfaithfulness, AND has allowed their perfidity to grow so increasingly extrmeme for his purpose to draw out the faithful from amongst the faithless.
I did some reaserch on the theology behind miracles since our last correspondence. Miracles exist for the Goda purpose to convert those people who have an interior disposition to accept the faith, but are not part of it. In other words God only performs miracles to convert people who have a good heart and earnestly seek after God, but who are not already part of the faith. I take it at face value that the reason we have not see miracles in a while is that
        1. The Gospel has been preached to the whole world.
        2. Their is a historical record of Miracles that have already been performed and thus stand as a proof of miracles
        3. This generation is totally self absorbed and has no affinity for truth.

  15. Salvation is a tricky subject when asked to different sects of the faith. A man, regardless of his relationship to God or the sanctity of his state of being, cannot absolve you of your sins, only Jesus can.

  16. Religion is irrelevant.
As long as the government and the laws support the woman, she will step outside her religion, for the time required to strip you bare and cause you harm, then step back in when it suits her. The guy running your church will support her too.

    1. Religion is more than you’ll ever understand.
That said, your second paragraph is correct.

      1. ” There are more things in heaven and Earth, Horatio, / Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”
A phrase used by the title character in the play Hamlet, by William Shakespeare. Hamlet suggests that human knowledge is limited.

    2. As someone pointed out to me recently, the most effective way to control female sexuality is through shame. Not violence, not law, no nothing comes close to shame, for the woman is uniquely sensitive to it. She cannot bear it. This is why religion is important for male/female dynamics, because a religious community will shame women who cheat on their husbands, deterring the behavior. A secular community won’t give a shit.

      1. Nah, They’d just move to a different community.
The easiest way to control women, is not give them free stuff.
Work yourself, or live off a man ……. most women are too lazy (or want too much) to work for it themselves

      2. Yes, religion is so great, in the west it failed miserably at protecting traditionalism or the family structure.
Allowing whack job jews & marxists to destroy society & turn the women into insane whores …
Nice going fanatical orthodox christ cuck catholics …

        1. Be quiet, child. You’re embarrassing yourself.

        2. MGtow has a point- but I don’t think any man alive will give up sex- not even the pope. Hes probably watching a porno right now. Mgtows name should be changed; not the concept. Its us verses those bitches and they carry the sword in todays society. They sign up for cash and prizes and men die for the option of seeding the lawn.

        3. All this shit fell through once we decided to turn away from religion in favour of materialism… Christianity did its job for a long time.

        4. He doesn’t care. He’s here teen-raging and trying to be edgy.
In a sad, cringeworthy kind of way.

        5. In our society, the church has the balls to go to young men and say…”man up and get married” and then say “man up” you didn’t work hard enough after she takes you to the cleaners for the next biggest payout after you divorce….and they wonder why the marriage rate is lowest in 50+ year and people leaving the church in droves…
… If the church is going to become ala carte religion with gynocentric disney land for the lazy landwhale- I am out and I aint coming back.

        6. Yeah, but he’s also got a point in regards to Catholicism. In terms of their inflenece it has been very destructive.

        7. dont leave Christianity…its not the religion, its the people today in the church that are nothing more than false converts. they go to church, but dont even know what the rules of christianity are. its a sad state of affairs…as far as women, read proverbs 7. remember that chapter when seeking a woman to marry. especially in todays age with the court system having white knight syndrome ready to throw you under the bus.

        8. I say it was Sunday shopping legislation that was the nail in the coffin for Christianity in The West. I remember it distinctly. We went from Christmas… to Happy Holidays, Jesus to Black Friday, almost over night. I read a good quote by C.S. Lewis (if I am not mistaken) that said if you take away God, Man WILL substitute something to worship in God’s place. Worship is in our NATURE, but WHAT we worship… is what defines who we are. We are no longer a people of God. Despite all the intellectual difficulties of Christianity, it was still pointed at God. What do we worship now? Yes, that is a rhetorical question for a good laugh. 🙂

        9. “We went from Christmas… to Happy Holidays, Jesus to Black Friday, almost over night”
This year in particular I found very confusing around the holidays actually… No one is sure what to say to anyone else, so I just say Merry Christmas and I’m not gonna change that. My Jewish friend conceded to my wishes this past year, and now I feel like I owe him a Happy Hannaukah in 2017… Oy Vey!
But yeah… They commercialized a sacred holiday and now it’s just more Starbucks.
“Worship is in our NATURE, but WHAT we worship… is what defines who we are”
This is a really interesting idea. I’m not even sure exactly what I’ve been worshipping the last while, but the concept of Western decline has almost become an obsession for me lately… Might be rooted in something akin to the need to worship something greater than oneself.

        10. Now take that reflections of self observations (need to worship) and extrapolate to a metaphysical/universal “Why are we here?” question. If you have come to see this (worship is intrinsic to Man) may be true… what else follows from that fact?

      3. “As someone pointed out to me recently, the most effective way to control female sexuality is through shame.”
How do you get that back? I saw a documentary somewhere once that said historically… and backed up my field anthropological research… ONCE that shame based moral/sexual restraint is lost… no tribe has ever had it return and they all go extinct. Can’t link to it… so much out there, but I will never forget that observation.

    1. That is horrible! Trying peacefully to prevent murder, and they get jail.
This needs to be fought. Are there any resources you know of to help fight for them?

      1. I’m sure something will get set up to help with legal bills, if it doesn’t already exist. They already went through the TX system (prosecutors declined to pursue the case, was it?) last year. Keep your eye on it, it’ll grow.

  17. The Vatican and its followers is the most cancerous religion after Islam. The Pope is the closest thing a Christian could be to a SJW and that’s a shameful display. He kissed Muslims’ feet for fuck’s sake. He disregarded the millions of Christians who have died and suffered at the hands of these Muslim pigs and worse, those who still do today because Christians are the most victimised religious group in the world and it’s all done by the religion of peace. Fuck that. And fuck the pope.

      1. He probably feels closer to Arabs than whites.
He speaks Spanish and the Arab Muslims ruled Spain for ages.

        1. I wouldn’t go that far man. There’s certainly a good relationship with Moros in Spain today for economic reasons, but when it comes to religion there’s a big split. The Christians here did a very efficient job in pushing muslims and jews away in the past centuries. South-Americans are fully catholic, and much more religious than people in continental Europe. They have nothing to do with Islam.

        2. Except the Arabs were persecuted by Los Reyes Catolicos, the founders of Modern Spain. Spain’s equivalent of George Washington or Romulus tried to barbecue as many Muslims as they could get their hands on.

      2. That’s a major difference right there – for the Orthodox, NO ONE is “put in charge” or your spiritual welfare beyond you, your priest, and God.
There is just no need for a hierarchy of Roman Kings to administer this stuff.

        1. Except the Orthodox Church IS controlled by kings and Emperors. Or in the modern case, a former KGB agent. They’re practically state employees. To be Russian Orthodox is to be a soldier of Putin, not the Church.

        2. Your kind boot-licks them anyways. They don’t need to give you instructions when you’re already lemmings for their cause.

        3. “their cause”?!!?!? Who’s? The leadership and system of government in Russia has transformed dramatically just over the last 100 years – and all the while the Church remains unchanged.

        4. Unchanged my ass. It was changing from Nikon’s days to the modern era. From Nikon’s reforms to Peter the Great gutting the Church hierarchy, to being suppressed under Lenin and controlled by Stalin..

        5. Either way, we still follow the liturgy of St John Chrysostom, from the 4th century. Pretty unchanged.

        6. The so -called Uniate church was a devil’s compromise; the Poles got to keep their holy tradition in exchange for their fealty to the Pope. In exchange for kneeing to a Roman king, or Pope as you call him, the Polish were granted protection from the Holy Roman Empire.
If this kind of diplomacy is your idea of ‘the true spirit of the church’, then we’re never going to see eye to eye.
Either way, I wish you a pleasant Palm Sunday.

        7. You people are the devil’s compromise. You say that they kneel to a Roman king, except that “king” barely exercises any authority over them aside from Church dogma and liturgy. Heck, later on, during the Ottoman invasion, the Holy Roman Empire needed the Poles, not the other way around. The Poles had freedom to expand their own territory and make their own laws without the Pope or the Empire butting in. If they didn’t have stupid laws regarding nobles being able to veto the authority of the king, they’d have remained a superpower.
A real king is one that sets the agenda on all things, be they military or otherwise-like the Byzantine Emperor or the Russian Czar, to whom the Orthodox Church of those countries shamelessly sold themselves to. Your Orthodox Church is the one that has the propensity to become puppets of the state like in Byzantium or in Russia and you dare lecture Eastern Catholics on bowing down to kings? What a hypocritical double-standard. You people are the poster children for state-controlled Churches along with the Anglicans. At least the Anglican Church nowadays gets less direction from the English Crown. The Russian Church might as well be a wing of Putin’s government, just as the Byzantine Orthodox Church was a wing of the Imperial regime there. You people take what belongs to God and give it to Caesar. Is there no greater blasphemy than to disguise the will of the king as the will of God? At least blasphemers like atheists make no such moves as to take their own will and mark it as God’s.

    1. I am tired of these preacher guys acting like the world is peace and harmony with free love. “who am I to judge”… No, I want to wack them in the head and say. There is a right and there is a wrong. Starting acting like a man with a moral spine. I am catholic but I drifted so far away from this religion over the past decade because of this stuff- it makes me sick.

      1. “I am tired of these preacher guys acting like the world is peace and
harmony with free love. “who am I to judge”… No, I want to wack them
in the head and say. There is a right and there is a wrong.”
THIS… is why I think Christianity has a chance… a SLIM chance… of returning… IF… it can find unity. More and more people are sick and tired of the LGBTQ shit. It was the tranny legislation/elevation. Ok… gays “love”, but they keep to themselves. Ok… gay culture is getting to our kids in the schools… but we can STILL teach them what is right at home. But now… to go to the BATHROOM with one’s daughter and find a MAN… IN DRAG… trying to start up a conversation with her about her pretty summer dress Mommy dressed her in?
Line… DRAWN!!!! And crossed. Heterosexuals have seen enough and want no more of this shit.

        1. It was presented to him by an Islamic delegation, he knew exactly what he was doing. But hey here are some more pictures. This one is JP2 getting the mark of shiva placed on his head with cow dung cow https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/09399037064bdf9d831e317ffcf84bc79defcb21077e31826ad48babf93ac68d.jpg

This last one is the first Assisi conference, which JP2 orchestrated. In this Conference a cross was taken down from the Altar and a golden Buddha was worshipped in its place, the “great thumb” was also worshipped as well a fire was worshipped in the courtyard https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6022fdce9efefa9c9c2f336b0d6ccf11cf9b27c98f045b095fd45a4dbe47ea4c.jpg

        2. That is just showing respect to other cults and religions. You can be angry about this or know that God is more powerfull then some handshakes.
JPII helped to destroy the Atheist Sowjetunion, was hated by them. He helped lots of lots people to find Jesus and helped Poland the most. Ukraine and Kroatia also are very thankful.
So stop your pagan-ish hysteria about some handshakes, signs on the forehead or kissing books. This is not an kind of magick. Grow up.

        3. Hahahaha you are so blind my friend. Such a Typical modernist answer and an impossible one to make if you actually believed in Catholicism.
Showing “respect” for false religions that lead people straight to hell is something a Pope cannot do. JP2 was an arch heresiarch who presided over and covered up the largest child abuse scandal. Furthermore he promulgated the evil 1983 code of cannon law, and the Novus Ordo church declined precipitously under his leadership. http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2016/10/vatican-ii-anniversary-worth-forgetting.html?m=1
JP2 was an anti pope and not the real thing, go read the essay I wrote in this combox and for all the reasons Francis is not the pope JP2 was not the pope either.

        1. Ya everyone seems to love JP2 for reasons I can’t comprehend. The man presided a huge child abuse ring and covered it up. At his funeral all the world leaders we hate including Gorbachev attended and told everyone how much they loved him.

        1. He wants to bomb radical Muslims to hell. That’s good enough for me. Also, the Russian Orthodox embrace Shiite radical Muslims as allies. At least the Muslims Pope Francis brings home are moderate Muslims who would get stoned to death in Muslim lands.

  18. “Viewed in its relation to the Eastern Church which it robbed of the fairest dominions, Mohammedanism was a well-deserved divine punishment for the unfruitful speculations, bitter contentions, empty ceremonialism and virtual idolatry which degraded and disgraced the Christianity of the East after the fifth century. The essence of true religion, love to God and to man, was eaten out by rancor and strife, and there was left no power of ultimate resistance to the foreign conqueror. The hatred between the orthodox Eastern church and the Eastern schismatics driven from her communion, and the jealousy between the Greek and Latin churches prevented them from aiding each other in efforts to arrest the progress of the common foe. The Greeks detested the Latin Filioque as a heresy more deadly than Islâm; while the Latins cared more for the supremacy of the Pope than the triumph of Christianity, and set up during the Crusades a rival hierarchy in the East. Even now Greek and Latin monks in Bethlehem and Jerusalem are apt to fight at Christmas and Easter over the cradle and the grave of their common Lord and Redeemer, unless Turkish soldiers keep them in order!”–History of the Christian Church, Volume IV pg. 134. Constantinople does not offer any more hope than Rome. It is the Gospel that defines the Christian faith, which Constantinople and Rome both abandoned long ago. Neither of these communions subject themselves to the Word of God as evidenced by their violation of the second commandment in the worship of images (don’t even get me started on latria vs. dulia), their prayers to saints, the unbiblical sacerdotal priesthood and unholy, blasphemous elevation of Mary. The New Testament Faith knows only one priest who advocates on the Christian’s behalf (read the Epistle to the Hebrews). Neither Rome nor Constantinople preaches a regeneration that comes from God alone (Titus 3:3-7). It is the Lord who changes hearts and minds, not through superstitious rituals that have no basis in the New Testament, but rather through the preaching of the Word and sovereign grace that leads to an abiding and growing faith. Away with the vile innovations and false hopes of both Rome and Constaninople! Semper Reformanda! Sola Deo Gloria!

    1. Actually the protestants failed completly to spread the word. They just killed the others.
And the protestants are heavily unlogical about the bible.

    2. “The Greeks detested the Latin Filioque as a heresy more deadly than Islâm;”
And yet… as proof of my thesis… which Christian faith has survived, intact, and is seeing a return of its faithful and prominence in the world?
      The one true orthodox faith?
      Or insert-your-flavour-of-rock-band-Jesus-hallelujah-sans-vile-innovations.
Sorry to be blunt… but this is the truth of Christianity in The West OUTSIDE the Orthodox/Catholic tradition. It can’t unite Christians because it itself is splintered into 100s of “true and abiding” faith interpretations of Jesus.

      1. The integrity of the Gospel (1 Cor. 15:1-11) and the coming Kingdom of Christ (Hebrews 13:13-16; Revelation 21-22) are more important than the survival of the West. What has Constantinople done to evangelize the Muslim world in the past 1400 years? Instead of standing for the New Testament faith and proclaiming the Christian Gospel to the Muslim people, Byzantium marched its armies onto the battlefield for hundreds of years instead of sending missionaries to seek and save the lost. You say that is naive? Christians underwent persecution and planned extermination by the Roman state for 250 years from the Neronian persecution to the peace of the church under Constantine. Yet, the Church survived that. It is conservative, evangelical Protestants (mainly Calvinists) who are having the biggest impact in reaching people inside the Muslim world and seeing Muslims converted to Christ. Just look at the testimony of Nabeel Qureshi and the work that Dr. James White is doing in engaging Muslims in the spirit of Christian love, but without compromise. Sorry to be blunt…But, Constantinople, like Rome preaches a false Pelagian gospel that reduces the grace of God to mere ritual and superstition. I guarantee you there is more unity concerning the Christian faith among conservative Presbyterians and Reformed Baptists than among the hundreds of millions of unregenerate, nominal Eastern Orthodox parishioners whom you claim constitute the “True Church”. You see, we as Calvinists actually believe God has the sovereign ability to build and preserve His Church, regardless of what external opposition exists. It is God who saves men and it is the Gospel that defines the Christian faith.

      2. Furthermore, the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic views of church history are pure mythology. Philip Schaff brilliantly laid it out over a hundred years ago in his 8 volume work History of the Christian Church which is freely available at ccel.org. Scholarship and archeology have only further confirmed the Reformed understanding of Church History. We never say that the early church was Protestant. But, what we do say is that neither was the Church Roman Catholic nor Eastern Orthodox. There were developments of tradition over time that in time began to cloud the simplicity of the Christian Gospel. That is why the Word of God must stand as the final arbiter of Faith and Practice for the Church (this is known as the “formal principle” of the Reformation). Jesus condemned the Pharisees over the Corban rule in Mark 7 for “neatly laying aside the Word of God for the sake of your traditions”. Strongly considering writing a rebuttal to your article in the spirit of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

        1. Will do. Hopefully, it will bring about continued fruitful discussion on these issues. Thank you for the cordial challenge to write a response, Maximus.

  19. Two of my favorite Modern thinkers would agree with you: Solzhenitsyn&Guenon. Personally, I think we can survive our current social cataclysm with this church, but nothing can save us.

    1. Wrong. It is the opposite. saying “everything is stupid” is for the weak minded.

  20. I guess “Thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church…” means absolutely shit then. Guess God got it all wrong. Sure, y’all know better.

    1. The gay, shapeshifting, raped and raping irrational beeings called “gods” are ok but a guy who took the cross and was speaking against organized cults, the cäsar and the fear of the people (even his own) – is weak?
The pagan gods are just stupid projections, they took too much drugs back then. Completly useless for questions like “why i am getting older”, “what is the meaning of all this”, “why i suffer”, “why did my mother suffer” and so on.

    2. Been doing more YT watching… and I must admit… despite my reservations about the intellectual foundations of paganism… a return to TRUE patriarchal paganism is sounding like not a very bad idea. And you don’t need to actually believe. Paganism… was more about observance of tradition and ritual, with great emphasis on ancestor veneration… MALE ancestors. We were pagan once… and Christianity had to do a lot of convincing and do so with a powerful political force (the remnants of western Rome). God only knows… anything can happen right now.

  21. Funny how most of the AMOGs on this guestbook claim to be tough guys on other threads and yet are righteous Christians on this one . You can’t be fighting “skinny jeans SJWs” one minute , banging barflys the next , but all of a sudden become humble Christians when an article of religious nature pops up on your feed .

    1. You can if you’re a Catholic, as long as you never wear a condom, don’t divorce and confess once a month, you can do what you like.

  22. Shouldn’t the measure of a church be whether or not it’s teachings are true and correct? This article takes the view that unity and ‘just accept and believe’ should be the arbiters of deciding a church’s value.
The charge that Protestantism lead to the rise of denominations is false, it was already happening in the first century church: 1 Cor 1:11-13:
“For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe’s people, that there are quarrels among you. 12 Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, “I am of Paul,” and “I of Apollos,” and “I of Cephas,” and “I of Christ.” 13 Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?”

    1. “Shouldn’t the measure of a church be whether or not it’s teachings are true and correct?”
And… we have the ROOT of the problem with returning Christianity to The West. Assuming you can get western peoples to believe in GOD again… where does the conversation go from there? I might write a follow up to this piece as I have done more research on Orthodox to see WHY it may be the best appeal to Christian truth… but… as you can see in the comments already… Christianity needs a miracle in The West. In The East, it will be just fine.

      1. Well, is your question a religious one or a social one?
I assume it’s the latter, but well, you’ve brought Christianity into the equation, so now Christians are going to respond from a Christian – as opposed to social – viewpoint. Because for me, Christianity is not just some convenient vehicle for getting Western Civilisation back on track; rather, it is the means for the eternal salvation of the soul.
If you want to just say: “Orthodox is good because it’s unified” – I suppose we could discuss the merits and flaws of that theory if you just want to use the church for your purposes of saving the West (and ignoring the question of whether it actually gets you into heaven). But I would say to you: Is the church actually true? Because if I did not think it was a true church, my conscience would not allow me to promulgate such a thing as a solution for saving the West. It would just be wrong to promote something I believe to be false. A reading of the New Testament should leave you with the clear impression that truth must not be sacrificed for any reason, not even for the sake of unity of the church. Christians are commanded to disfellowship and not associate with false teachers. So the fact that the Orthodox church is unified is worthless if they have sacrificed truth for the sake of unity.

        1. “But I would say to you: Is the church actually true?”
Again… this is my point. This is why Christianity is where it is. It is not a social question, by which I can only guess to what you mean.
Ask a non-Christian which Christianity is true… be prepared for an earful. Ask a Christian which church is true… you will also get an earful, but at least a sympathetic one.
This is the problem. You have to not just convince non-Christians, but also current ones, to go in one direction. The formulation of Christianity makes this nearly impossible. You can say “it’s a matter of following the truth”, but which truth? This… is why people have left. One look at the Wikipedia entry into the number of listed (let alone unlisted like the very obscure Two-By-Two movement) Christian “truths”… is enough to make a non-Christian, legitimately, ask just what is going on here?
I am glad to see much positive exchange on different flavours of Christianity, but you can see the problem I speak of. I can also say I don’t think this article will pass 500 comments, let alone beat my last one. All Christians are united in the face of Islam, but without that threat, there is no Christianity in The West.
I suspect you feel the Orthodox church does not have the truth from your final sentence. I put forward my argument for it and feel it is a valid one. But other Christians are free to decide I am wrong, and many I suspect quietly believe I am leading people astray. So, once again, we come to the root problem.
How… do you PROVE… beyond a shadow of doubt… WHICH… Christianity is the truth?
As you say, to promote the false would be to go against God. And technically Jesus. You can begin to see in my last statement here where I think the problem lies. But that is just an outside viewpoint. I can’t tell Christians what to think, but it is up to them to convince me they have the truth. If they can’t they can quietly pray for my soul, but there will be no return of Christianity in The West.

        2. These are indeed tough questions, and are hardly new.
A couple of specific questions for you: Your article seems to promote the idea that you like the Orthodox church because its unified and unifying for society (this is what I mean by ‘social question’). Correct me if I’m wrong, but truth – whatever that may mean! – doesn’t seem to be a prerequisite here. So do you favour the Orthodox church because it’s unified, and truth isn’t necessarily part of the equation? And do you even believe in God and the message of the Orthodox church, or do you just see the Orthodox church as a convenient means to an end for saving the West (religious versus social question)?
OK, so you ask ‘which Christianity is true’ and ‘how can we prove, beyond a shadow of doubt which Christianity it truth?’ This is a fair question, and I’ll get to my response in a moment. But first I’ll say that disagreements over truth or difficulty in determining truth does not permit us to therefore say “it’s too hard to find the truth, therefore we’re going with unity instead”. Look at it from God’s point of view, if you will: is he more concerned with a man’s obedience to his commands, or to the continuation of Western Civilisation because it’s somehow special?
Now to get to your question. I think, at a very fundamental level, someone who truly seeks the truth will find it: this is what the Bible teaches. The problem is, the vast majority of people lie to themselves when they say they are truth-seekers. This is why there are so many denominations: people let pride and greed and fear get in the way of truth. This is why the Bible also calls for ‘self examination’ – are you being honest with yourself, or are you a liar? So, if you want the truth, you gotta start somewhere! Start with reading the New Testament. The Roman Catholics and the Orthodox will say that in addition to scripture, there is ‘church tradition’. Study the arguments for and against church tradition. Study the history of Protestantism, and even the so-called ‘heretics’ prior to Protestantism. I would be happy to correspond with you if you wish.
If this seems like a lot of work, well, it is. If you do believe in God though, and if you can accept prima facie that he has a design for us, you must also accept that he has made that design discoverable.

  23. True Catholics are Red Pill according they are persecuted and ostracized from the Church and society. Catholic faith is defined by spiritual warfare even physical war to protect the Church both physical structure and defense of the holy spirit.
Why is the Catholic Church the heavily demonized from within and without? It is the most popular and powerful religion. Inherently it is red pill. It calls from women to be feminine, for men to be men, for people to accept responsibility and treat people with respect. Hence the “globalists” aim to destroy the Church and replace it with their slave system. Where everything is inverse and chaos reigns.

    1. Correct.
For those who are interested, the catholic church is fighting within due to the current Pope’s departure from doctrine (Vatican II aside). If you look who was behind Pope Francis, you will find the St. Galan Group (or Mafia)– fierce opponents of Pope Benedict XVI who are a pack of progressive cardinals.

  24. The worst article I have ever seen on ROK. Orthodoxy is Popery without the Pope.
Idolatrous worship? Check. (“Icons” instead of statues; still idolatry).
    Works-based salvation? Check.
Prayers to “saints”? Check. (The biblical definition of saint is anyone who is a born again, not some Pagan deity given a makeover to look “Christian”)
Orthodoxy is as essentially Babylonian in its articles of faith and forms of worship as Romanism is. Calling it Christian at all is a deplorable act, devoid of understanding of the Bible, just as calling Catholicism Christian is.

  25. I was born and raised Catholic, but lately I’ve come to believe in the overwhelming and undeniable truth of Kek. Shadilay, my brothers.

  26. When I was 21 on exchange in Europe we traveled through Serbia and on our last day, in Belgrade we went to the giant cathedral in the city center and we walked in to see a sermon (it was a Sunday). Never in my life I have seen something so vivid, from the swinging smoke pots to the Latin, it made the church I was forced to go to as a child (prostitant) look like Micky Mouse in terms of seriousness (not to mention it was a fucking huge structure). The author has a good point about their christain sects, with orthodox people don’t debate they just accept it as it is. All the debating and conversation made me never think twice about returning to a church after 14.

  27. Ugh. I know this is a male safe space, but the writer touched a matter of faith.
First, as beautiful as the rituals of the Orthodox Churches are, they are nationally restricted and small-minded. Politically, they are the b*tches for whomever is in power (good, when the leader is Putin, but not when it’s Stalin, eh?) Doctrinally, they are effeminate and even proud of it, boasting that their garbled teachings are based on intuition rather than presumptuous reason. No Scholastic flowering there.
Second, the Catholic Church has been in crisis since the pontificate of Pius X, and while I don’t blame anyone for his confusion regarding this latest ecclesial decay, only people who have bothered to inform themselves should write about any issue. That is what I usually like about this site’s geopolitical commentary. Even the dilettantes usually show integrity.
Third, if anyone is actually interested in learning about this issue from the roots and becoming a participant in romanitas (the long view, for lack of translation), I recommend ‘The Keys of this Blood’ for a brilliant historical and political analysis of the three internationales in geopolitics, or anything by Malachi Martin really, Mundabor’s blog (funny and red-pilled), and the FSSPX for any current official facts. Pax!

    1. “I know this is a male safe space..”
No. More like a pub where men can congregate away from women and fags, but the patrons are far from united on any topic.
I will check out your references though.

    2. Thank you for your comment. This is why I wrote it. I want this post to be a discussion area for real Christian solutions and to backstop/support some of my arguments from my last article. To return Christianity to The West… is going to take a miracle due to the very diverse and divisive nature of it… some 1500 plus years of it. Believe me… IF Christianity can rebound, find unity in faith, and push out Islam AND the liberal/feminist/marxists… THAT… will be proof enough for me it is the truth!!!

    3. False. Not nationally restricted, though different ones follow different church tradition (not to be confused with the liturgy itself which is unchanged since the 5th century)
Bitch for whoever in power? Rubbish. They just stay out of politics. “give unto Caesar what is his” and all that.
And a prayer for ‘those in civil authority’ is a feature of the liturgy, whomever that might be.

  28. That is not true. The “Orthodox Church” is dominated by Moscow and this “Church” is a state owned church. Since 1920 every priest is tooked over by the KGB / Communist party and it is still like this that the Church there is state owned.
They are not free and independend, they are part of the rulers like it was in Tsarist times.
Besides of this, the orthodox faith is very unrational – they don’t have Thomas Aquinas, rationality and you can see the lack of philosophy there.
The catholic pope can talk what he wants, but he is not the King of the church or the ruler of the church. He is the highest representant of the church. If you think you need to go away from catholic church because the pope talks leftist shit – then you did not understood christianity or catholic structure.

        1. You don’t know nothing about the Orthodox Church? Do you? They had this problem with Constantinople too. The King did not wanted to give power to the pope about the church – because HE was the King of the Church.
And i think that God was pretty clear about what he is thinking about Orthodox Church. They got conquered by Islam, Constantinople is no more, the Orthodox Church was destroyed and Moscow was taken over by Sowjet Atheist who destroyed the rest. While Rome is still Christan.

  29. Some criticize RoK for all the articles on God, faith, and Christianity but I am grateful for it. RoK is just about the ONLY place Hard Truths of Life are talked about without censure or ridicule. Even atheists are welcome to comment – or write their own articles!
The manosphere may have begun as a place for men to learn Red Pill Truths about women, but that has quickly expanded into learning and embracing ALL Red Pill Truths about Life and Beyond. And with a mission, it seems, of saving Western Civilization!
A noble pursuit, worthy of REAL MEN.

  30. Such a well written, warm heart article right there…
…until propaganda emerges from the siberian caves :
,,Putin is demonized in the West for many things, but the one reason “they” hate him the most? Putin and Russia are a walking, talking, living reminder of a faith they thought was all but extinct by their design and command. Putin’s Christian message is not just reaching America, but the entirety of Europe.”
,,I have no doubt that if Europe and The West can find its way back to Christianity, our future will look as bright as Russia’s.”
,,Even after over 70 plus years of Communist oppression & outright murder, the faith has rebounded.”
Before I start to indicate how the above quotes are BS I would state the following:
The only thing that sets Orthodox Christianity apart from other Christian Denominations or Rites is … that in order to function you need to be engaged in it, meaning to practice it.
Prayers, fasting, reading the Bible, going to Church, understanding the Word of God and…apply the lessons you learn to your own person.
Once you do that you will receive a part of God Grace with that you will be able to see through evil, lies and be able to discern truth, not to mention you become ultra self aware, impossible to bullshit and dare I say, resilient and masculine but I digress.
Saying that ,,Even after over 70 plus years of Communist oppression & outright murder, the faith has rebounded” is not true. Talk to any real russian citizen and they will tell you the Church is neck deep in…snitches for the Gvt.
Russia’s so very Christian…yet they brought war to Ukraine, so very Orthodox of them, wouldn’t you say ?

      1. cut the shit , you’re not talking to an uninitiated.
here, take your rubles and davai watch.
Christianity has absolutely nothing to do with what Russia’s administration has been doing for the last hundred years and neither do the ethnic russians.
I thought ROK doesn’t let all aspiring lobbyists post their drivel on this website.

    1. Check the religion of your grandparents. Their church is the one you should join. Faith-wise, all is about the same. But this is for identity.

      1. What if the church of your grandparents has been overrun with modern libtard faggotry?

        1. Then it is past time to take that church back from them faggots, isn’t it?
I happen to be from Catholic stock, and I am considering getting baptized.
And let me tell you: the actions of the present Pope make me want to throw up, make me disgusted, make me ashamed.
It looks as if he sold out the Church to the Jews, and that he is in the process of selling out the future of Europe to Islam.
He is a traitor to Christianity, a heretic, and a shabos-goy.
Still, I refuse to give up my reclaiming of the Faith of my ancestors!

    2. This is my key point of argument… it won’t matter. Pick one for the COMMUNITY of faithful. THAT… is what it means to be Orthodox. The forms of worship, the theology, it is all the same no matter what flavour you choose. Don’t know what we have for Orthodox in my neck of the woods but I will be investigating after writing this article to become more familiar with it.

  31. How is the West “saved” by adopting a foreign religion and customs? You are just choosing what replaces it.

  32. The eastern Orthodox Church will become the answer when it accepts the five Solas of the reformation. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone to the Glory of God alone as revealed in scripture alone.
I find it ironic that oritentophiles love to claim “they do not allow any change to… the original church handed down to humanity from St. Paul.” given that so many Orthodox doctrines are out of accord with the original church of Jesus and Paul.
Also “it is God, not Jesus that is the focus of Eastern Orthodox faith…”
What??? Jesus IS God! And if you claimed to be a Christian whilst denying this the eastern Orthodox would condemn you as a heretic and throw you out of their church.
That being said I would choose the eastern churches over the Roman church any day. There are things they get right and that protestants have to learn from them- their ecclesiology for example is dead straight, and their love and preservation of tradition is to be respected. But without the true Gospel, that we are saved by grace through faith and not by works, it’s all for nought.

  33. Religion has turned my life around. Whatever flavor you choose, jump in with both feet…….I feel like handing out missionary pamphlets right about now.

  34. Another rather preserved christian branch are the “traditionalist” catholics, those who follow the older latin tridentine mass before the vatican 2 reform. They are also well preserved from the all modernist mess. They are not many, but are much more energetic and younger, i have really felt the holy spirit in the ones i have met. It is also them who have restored my faith. There are organisations like the fssp and the fsspx.
I have also sensed a respect for their orthodox brothers from them.

    1. Yup… confirmed my above comment and observation. Vatican II cut off those who will not tolerate corruption of their faith. The current Pope is now opening the eyes of those who were blind to what was going on.

  35. All men are liars, the only Truth is God. The KJV Bible is all I need, church buildings aren’t biblical and there is no one between you and God save Jesus Christ.

  36. The Catholic church is completely subverted, I went to website for the Domician order only to see video’s supporting enviromentalism and feminism. The Dominicans!!!! The Dogs of God!! The Inquisition!!! Western Christianity is over, but how exactly will Eastern Orthodox Christianity make it over here (europe).

  37. The Eastern Orthodox Church knows Marxism. The Roman Catholic Church is Marxism.

      1. How do you feel about the current Pope then? What with all the leniency he’s extended to those who were once considered sinners, or the decision to allow the Muslim call to prayer in the Vatican?

        1. His leniency does not extend towards traditionalists like myself. The great thing is that Catholic teaching can never be changed as God does not change. It would be terrible if he went down in History as a Formal Heretic. Especially as he would no doubt lead some weak souls astray also. That is why he needs our prayers. Say the Rosary every day for the conversion of Pope Francis.

      2. It was at one time, but the current Pope tells me the fix is in for Catholics. He is going to “modernize” and “accommodate” the faith SO much… no Catholic will recognize the authority of the Pope or the Vatican anymore. Think Vatican II on steroids. I can tell already from my viewing of comments on Orthodox videos… MANY Catholics are throwing in the towel. The faith they have been faithful to into the 21st century… is gone and the Orthodox is the last refuge for true believing Christians.

      3. LOL.
        1) The Pope is a Cultural Marxist through & through. Through & through.
        2) Christianity itself shares certain attributes with Marxism. Indeed, it was Spengler who wrote: “Christian theology is the grandmother of Bolshevism”. This was a profound insight on his part.
        3) Very few Popes have been Marxists or anything akin to Marxists, but this Pope’s thinking is about as far from the thinking of most prior popes as Bolshevism is from Nazism (that is to say very far).
        4) You can write anything down on paper. That doesn’t make it so. Indeed, many neo-Bolsheviks claim to be “liberals”. Many claim to hate “racism” but really just hate white people. Etc. etc. etc. I can declare myself an opponent of anything. It means nothing.
        5) This Pope has done more to spread Marxist thought & Marxist values than anyone since Marx himself.
        6) There is no “Catholic Church”, just like there is no “America”. America has been like four distinct civilizations throughout its history. Churches change, their leaders change, etc. just as nations do. Whatever the Catholic church once was, it isn’t now. The Pope is an anti-white, anti-Western neo-Bolshevik sicko.

  38. As an Orthodox Christian I find your motives suspect. You owe ROK readers an apology for claiming Islam would take over Europe without a fight. You dismissed an entire segment of Europe. The Serbs Greeks Bulgarians Russians have fighting Jihad since Byzantine Times. Their Orthodoxy is exactly why they’re still Orthodox and not Chechen, Albanian Bosnian or any demographic who left the flock for a tax deduction from the Caliphate. If you’ve had a genuine epiphany then Thank God.

    1. I actually had an apology in the intro to this piece. The editors cut it for some reason but I respect their decision.
What I apologize for is NOT… seriously not… understanding how much of an existential fear my last article would trigger. I was simply getting out ahead of the curve and playing intellectually with “Ok, Islam is here… now what?” in terms of European survival.
I stand by my words and conclusions, but I do apologize to those that are not ready to go there just yet. That is why I wrote this post on Christianity. I wanted to show I am not one sided and can argue forcefully for a Christian solution… if Europeans are capable of acting on it.

    2. Agreed. My ancestors suffered under those Mohammedan scumbags for centuries up to and including the early part of the 20th century. We retained our language, culture, tradition, identity and religion and I would murder anybody in the blink of an eye without thinking if they dared tried to have me renounce any of that. Fuck Islam.

  39. Uh no, just no. For Christianity to return there should perhaps be Breaking News scientific evidence that it is the truth, with peer reviewed reproducible experiments because us atheists don’t accept anecdotal evidence. There is such a thing as the scientific method you know? Also this: “virgin Mary as model all women should aspire to be as wife and mother.” Really? You want a wife that has a son who isn’t even yours and whom you can never bang? That’s like THE DEFINITION of cuckoldry.

    1. You should study the difference between empirical reasoning (science and material proof) and rational reasoning (logic and argument based on metaphysical premises and theories).
You should also no that every atheist is already have Muslim because… the declaration of Islamic faith begins with…
      “There is no God…”
Just an observation by an Sheik I was heard and thought it quite funny.

      1. There is no god BUT Allah means something else as” there is no god (like, at all)”. I believe the latter. I don’t believe in Allah and neither do other atheists but if many leftist atheists “resepect” islam it’s because of their white guilt associated with an amalgamation of islam and race. And LOL @ touting metaphysical premises as “rational reasoning” when it’s the exact opposite. I believe the Science that gave me mobile phones, rockets and aviation over old folktales that gave us witch hunting, superstition and The Dark Ages.

        1. Simple. It’s like before I was born: no awareness at all. Like during those 14.5 billion years that the universe existed, had dramatic events all over and I didn’t realise it. I even want to add that complete absence of consciousness can even happen while you ARE alive. I, like most people, didn’t actually experience consciousness before the age of 2-3, not the day of birth itself. I experienced total lack of consciousness when I blacked out from alcohol. It’s like when a time-lapse occurs in SF movies when a UFO hovers above their head. Coma followed by ante-retrograde amnesia also gives a glimpse of total absence of awareness. It’s really not that difficult to imagine and there is no evidence that we actually do go to a place like heaven or hell or whatever folktale like that.

        2. Ok… black out drunk, no awareness would be more accurate than no consciousness. But… YOU… in your essence, your being… was not dead. Where were YOU when you blacked out? YOU (caps just for emphasis, not yelling)… still existed… somewhere. Or did you die… and then come back? (logically if consciousness is “life” and “self” as you seem to conclude) Consciousness is a BYPRODUCT of existence, it is not existence in and of itself. While you may not have been aware of yourself before 2 or 3… ask your parents if there was a YOU, a very clear and definite YOU, before you became aware of it. 🙂
As for evidence… you can’t be completely unaware of after death experiences from people who come back from the brink. I am not talking about the hokey proof-of-heaven marketed shit, but real, floating over your body in the operating room type stuff. I have talked to nurses who have seen spirit actually leave the body of deceased individuals. When you deal intimately with death on a daily basis… you see some very weird shit you just cannot explain via physical processes.
Of course, there will be no convincing a pure empiricist that a YOU exists apart from your physical body. So, all I can wish is that you are right, and there is nothing after this life for I lose nothing and have no need to fear if that is the case. On the other hand, if the ancients have ANY wisdom, you could be in for a very, very frightening surprise when consciousness turns out to BE something, and GO somewhere you denied existed. LOL 🙂
Next question (no need to reply if you don’t wish): Why be moral if there is no justice in the afterlife? It is one of the foundations for Locke’s (I believe, may be mistaken on the philosopher) premise not just of God’s existence, but that of justice itself and thus ultimately law. If there is no justice to be found after we die, there is no justice to be found here on earth. Might really does make right, and all moralizing is groundless. Rape, pillage, steal, murder…. it matters not. All we have is THIS life… nothing else… so why be good? The common atheist answer is “because it is right”, but right for who? You? Me? Darwinian “survival?” If there is no ultimate source for justice (God, Tao, Karma to Buddhists), then the force that makes what is “right” right will always be right, until a new force comes in to correct what used to be right and make a new “right.” Morality is where the atheist is truly trapped into a corner. They have no answer to the moral question or that of justice because the ONLY logical conclusion to there being nothing after this life, is that there is nothing to be moral or good about in this one. “Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.”
2nd part… what is consciousness? Can you measure it in the brain to know where it is? Can you turn it off… and turn it back on… like a physical response would predict? Following that… can you alter consciousness and direct it control it (Manchurian candidates). If so, why do some of those with Monarch mind control break free… and have their original consciousness return? Of course, you might just dismiss MK Ultra and other conspiracies as hocus pocus, but I would be curious to know your answers.
Again, no need to reply, but would like to hear the atheist perspective and if you could provide reference for your claims.

        3. The organic matter I’m made of was still there and the memory of my past events was preserved so I could resume life after blacking out but it makes zero sense to me to believe that a “soul” made of nothing continues after my brain cells decay 6 feet under. Talking about cells, how would that even work that when cells start to replicate until there is enough grey matter to form a functioning brain a “soul” would also be created in a parallel world or something? There is really nothing special about the matter a brain is made of, it is the same as a liver cell or an eye cell but specialises locally. I see no reason to special plead for consciousness as being anything other than an epiphenomenon of neuronal activity. I even strongly believe that since ordinary matter achieved consciousness naturally then advanced AI will someday be possible to reproduce it artificially. Last, NDEs with OBEs NEVER passed the hidden note on top of a high cupboard test. So it really is just like dreaming.

  40. ” it is God, not Jesus that is the focus of Eastern Orthodox faith.” im afraid youve misunderstood something…in Christianity,Jesus IS God. its part of the trinitarian formula. “Father,Son,Holy Spirit. One God”. during the first ecumenical council,St. Nicholas got so angry at arius for saying Jesus was created, rather than eternal that he punched him in the face.
the Orthodox recite “Lord Jesus Christ,Son of God,have mercy on me,a sinner.” more than any other prayer…its the orthodox equivalent to the rosary.

    1. I understand the concept of the trinity, but there are some instances, like the baptism of Jesus where a voice from heaven testifies of him, or in Gethsemane where Jesus says, “Father if thou will, let this cup pass from me, nevertheless not my will but thine be done”…..how do you reconcile these?

      1. because the Son was praying to the Father… thats how trinitarianism works. similar to how your mind can ask your body to do something.

      2. My best analogy for the Trinity can be found in the roll a man plays in life. At different times and to different people he is a father, a son, and a mentor, yet still of the same essence.

    2. I understand there is still Jesus in Orthodox worship, but, you have to admit, that last video on the Orthodox view of salvation… refers to God almost exclusively. St. Augustine’s City Of God is the same. While God and Jesus may be one in theology, in PRACTICE, learning how the Orthodox (and technically the Catholics) emphasis God more than Jesus has helped to explain for me the Protestant Reformation and the further splintering that came out of it.
It is the difference between… “God is all loving and merciful, who sent his son to redeem man and return humanity to God’s graces.”
      and…
“Jesus is the life, the path and the way, Glory be to Jesus. Jesus, we beseech the and ask thee to deliver us as is promised. (etc etc etc)”
You have to admit… there is a great divide in cultures between the Orthodox/Catholic and the Protestant Jesus worshipers. You can even see it in the wording I used… Everyone knows what Ortho/Cath means as a faith… but Protestant/Evangelical?

  41. “our future will look as bright as Russia’s”
Russia has a bright future??? Are you kidding ? I’m Russian living in Moscow, btw

    1. With a total debt of barely 1/2 a trillion dollars… a gold reserve that is increasing and pacing that of China’s… the ONLY European/white race to have an INCREASING birth rate of the native population… who have created some of the most amazing technology and the most lasting human literature and philosophy to the world… with a fail safe to the SWIFT international banking transaction system WHEN The West tries to cut you off… increasing political AND military clout in the ME where power always resides to those that control it… no GMOs (as far as I know)… intact agriculture sector where farm to grocer is direct (yes no?)… your women still want to be women and want a man for partnership and children (acknowledging full well it is not the paradise some western men think Russian women are)… do I need to go on? Oh yea… you do have nuclear shelters for the entire population of Moscow? Or a large part? Yes? I hope to visit Russia soon. I know it will not be anywhere near perfect… but when it is getting to the point that for looking at a woman WHO DOES NOT WANT TO BE LOOKED AT… a man may find himself fired or in jail… tell me which country you would rather be living in? One with an intact culture and homogenus people… or one so fractured and at war with itself over TRANNIES IN BATHROOMS our elites are about to roll out RFID chipped genocide of the entire population who “don’t submit to the mark.”
Just something to think about. Again… I know things are not all rosey in Russia. Putin is not the saint RT portays him to be… but come on man… LOOK at our elites and than seriously consider which one you would like to swap out for Putin in a heartbeat?

      1. I dont know anyone here who supports Putin. Dont take BS from RT too seriously. I would take Trump, Wilders or Farage as president. Low Russian debt has no impact on Russians. Look at average salary here. Increasing birth rates ? Yes, from muslim populations and from Caucas! Most amazing technologies ? Consumer goods in USSR sucked so much ! You’re wrong about GMO and quality of food. Feminine women?? They’re cold rude arrogant career-oriented bitches. USSR and Russia are feminist and matriarchal countries. I heard Russia has more female bosses than in Europe. I want to move to Spain, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Columbia or South-East Asia.

        1. Heads up on Spain… the have a 3 digit number for every girl to call… if she wants to put you in jail. No reason, no explanation. All you have to do is piss her off.. and she can invent something when she calls to put you in your place. Straight from a comment here from a Spaniard who has a GF who is always “joking” about calling the number. I understand to not believe everything off of RT, and perhaps you will find anywhere outside Russia better than being in it. Give it a try. You won’t know how good you might have it until you leave.

      2. You have read too much propaganda. Russian birthrates are still falling. Caloric intake is 700 calories daily less than in 1990.

        1. I am aware of them… but I would still take my chances there than here when it comes to the women. I think many of those women leave their men because their men simply will not go out and get shit done. I watched a good YT clip by a Russian girl talking about what Russian women (all women really) fear the most – her man becoming a couch potato. A guy just too afraid to go out into the world and TRY to make something of himself. All she wants is the guy to DO SOMETHING, anything, and try. But, a lot of Russian men… for whatever reason… like to drink, have low self esteem, and end up being losers (obviously broad generalization and I do not mean to offend, just trying to see a Russian woman’s point of view).
In The West… she will divorce you JUST BECUASE. Couch potato or CEO, a western woman will divorce a man for SHEER SPITE, and cause she hates him. Perhaps this is the case in Russia, but I am (naively I will fully admit) that this is not the case. I have read it is a case of getting married too young, and the couple just drifting apart. This was another Russian woman’s reason given for the high divorce rates and it makes sense. But yet again, this is not SHEER SPITE, it is just natural.
Lastly… I do know the support for women who divorce and are single mothers is just not there, or no where near the level of support she would find in The West. This is a big problem in Russia as women (naturally) want more support from the government, but Putin and party will not give it because Russia wants INTACT FAMILY UNITS as much as possible. Again, fully admit this is pure, outsider speculation, but again… you said you were Russian and I don’t know how familiar you are with The West and western women.
I know things are not rosy in Russia. They never have been. Perhaps they never will be. But… what you DO have my friend… is something many men in The West would kill for… or move for at a bare minimum.

        2. Family in Russia means usually supermother, supergrandmother and a poor kid. Family here is about women. Women are a privileged class. Man is a sperm donor and source of money. By law women are always right. Life will be even better for them. Look what PM Medvedev did:
          http://chelorg.com/2017/03/08/gift-for-march-8-medvedev-approved-the-strategy-of-actions-in-interests-of-women/
So forget about family oriented Russian propaganda ! Families are without men. This is how girls are trained to lead boys since the kindergarten:

  42. “If Christianity means surrendering my entire civilization to islam, you can go fuck yourself.”
Sooner or later, I think I’m gonna have to say that to my local Catholic Pastor…

  43. Why not the Mormon church? It’s the only high IQ white population that’s actually growing.Perhaps a combination of both? Or maybe we should just stop drinking the Jewish poison.

    1. Mormonism is, as testified to by the people in the House of the Supreme Council of the Thirty-Third Degree in D.C., freemasonry made into a religion by Joseph Smith (a mason).

      1. Even so, they are the only high IQ white population that’s growing. And they seem to live pretty healthy lives.

  44. Don’t confuse the apostate Vatican II Sect (aka “FrancisChurch) with the true Roman Catholic Church of Pope Pius XII and his predecessors, going all the way back to St Peter himself.
My family and I attend a true Roman Catholic Church. The priest was ordained in the Old Rite by a valid bishop, says the Tridentine Latin Mass, and has no connection to the “local ordinary” of the apostate Vatican II Sect.
At La Salette, the Holy Virgin told the children “Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of antichrist”. (that was in the 1800’s). To another visionary, she said “the (Catholic) Church shall go into eclipse”.
The Argentinian Apostate “Pope” Francis is a public heretic, and this means that not only is he NOT the pope, but he’s not even a Catholic! (No more than a Mormon or Lutheran or Methodist is a Catholic)
Research also the prophecies of Our Lady of Good Success. They are 400 years old, yet were specifically about our times. They are so accurate it’s eerie. “The vice of impurity will flood the world like dirty flood waters flooding city streets”. “They will change the rules regarding marriage, making it easy for everyone to live in sin.” “There will be almost no virgin souls in the world”. “The light of faith will be all but extinguished.” “There will hardly any longer be found innocence in children, nor modesty in women.” “They will focus especially on corrupting the youth, woe to the children of those times.” “The sacraments will be disregarded, many will die without receiving Extreme Unction (aka, the Last Rites) and so will be unprepared to make the leap from time to eternity.” And et cetera. Every prophecy the Blessed Mother made to Mother Marianna about our times has been fulfilled perfectly. And this was 400 years ago!
    P.S. Then there’s this:
Bella Dodd, a former communist, told Dr. Alice Von Hildebrand that there were four Cardinals within the Vatican working for the communists (This was in the 1940’s). After being converted by Bishop Fulton Sheen she testified to the House Un-American Activities Committee that she was personally responsible for planting one thousand communists in Catholic seminaries. Over a decade before Vatican II she stated: “Right now they are in the highest places in the Church.” She added that, they changes they were working to bring about would be so drastic that, “you will not recognize the Catholic Church.”

  45. Excellent comment and thank you. You covered some points I simply could not for length. (This was 2200 words and the limit ROK tries to stick to is 1500 to 1800.) The bit on the spirit being the conception of Jesus, not The Father, was an illuminating point. Further confirms for me intellectually, there is more to believe in Orthodox than in any other Christian tradition. As for the faithful leaving Orthodox in America, I think that can be attuned to the sheer force of feminism/liberalism. American/Western culture now SHITS ALL OVER tradition. So, it does not surprise me that with a small base (assuming but I am sure is the case), it would be hard for Orthodox tradition to hold out against the onslaught that is modern nihilism/atheism. Will not comment on the God-Man Jesus debate as I want to keep my comments and this post focused on a Christian solution to The West, but it does illustrate how steep an intellectual hill Christianity has to climb to once again bring people back. For me personally, with your comment and others, the Orthodox argument is the best one to go with. Thank you again for your comment.

  46. It is my long held belief that if Martin Luther had merely acquainted himself with the Orthodox Church and abandoned the Catholics, there would have been no need for the Protestant reformation.

    1. Luther was so mentally unstable and violent, there’s no predicting what he would have done in any situation.

        1. Among other things, Luther claimed the Devil would physically manifest, sit at table with him, and help him write his heresies. On one famous occasion, Luther apparently got angry with the Father of Lies and throw his inkwell at him!
Luther also encouraged his followers to sin, saying “Sin and sin boldly, but believe more boldly still!” He also said that as long as he had faith, a man “could commit adultery – nay, murder! – a hundred times a day and it would not affect his justification before God”
Luther was a sick bastard. He died an unrepentant heretic and an excommunicate, and is almost certainly damned.

        2. Also, for where it all came from read Rabbi Louis Newman’s “Jewish Influence in Christian Reform Movements” – Luther was widely recognized as a judaizer and was called a “half-jew”.

      1. I’m guessing Luther, Calvin etc. were all devout, pious men. One can only imagine the conflict they must have felt when they realized that “the church of St. Peter” was no longer delivering the gospels as envisioned by the early church fathers (as a side note its interesting that these schisms coincided with the advent of the printing press and the widespread uptick in literacy and access to bibles.).
They each fell to pride to a degree in thinking that this newfound intelligence empowered them to reinvent the wheel, when in fact all they needed to do was peel back a few more layers of church ‘evolution’ to get back to Christian church they sought.

        1. Yup. There is a fairly good movie on the life of Martin Luther. He was absolutely torn about what he was doing. But… what option was he left? He is kind of like the MGTOW movement in a way. There is this big, powerful force (feminism) that has dogmas and corruption so thoroughly embeded in the social fabric of society… the only path to freedom is… to write it down and nail it on a door. I don’t think pride pushed Luther to split from the Vatican, but those that followed definitely did.

    2. You do realize that when the Protestants – Lutherans, Anglicans – tried to approach the Orthodox with their “reformation” ideas they were rejected as heretics, do you not?

      1. Did not know that. Though, if they came to the Orhtoodx church with a “better idea” then, well, there were heretics.

    3. In which case, we all would have been better off. It was through the Protestants, and their abandoning the Catholic proscription against usuary, that the Jews were able to take power in the West.
As Mayer Rothschild said, “Give me power over a nation’s money supply, and I care not who makes its laws”

  47. The Orthodox and Catholics are brothers and sisters in Christ. The faithful do not have to obey every word the Pope speaks. In practice, we must reach out and grasp hands with the Orthodox. It is not ‘the Orthodox Church’ or ‘the Catholic Church’ that will save western civilization. It is the faithful practitioners (ergo, spiritual warriors) of sacramental, historic Christianity.

  48. Hang on, Jesus was claiming to be jewish messiah and Jews rejected him and others accepted him as a son of God due to his ability to resurect
So if you are Christian you are basically following jewish religion, only difference between judism and christianity is whether jesus was real savior or not.
Let’s say Jews did accepted him as their messiah, what would happen…Christianity would not exist, right? Everyone would just accept him and judism? Jewish rejection of jesus created christianity….?

  49. Every Christian church in America is a bastion of female privilege. I went to conservative churches where they teach sexual purity. For women, this just means they need to hold out for full price and prepayment before having sex. Full price being a big diamond ring and fairy tale wedding. Single women are allowed to date non-Christians and men that pressure them into pre-marital sex. No requirement that they only associate with men committed to sexual purity and their church. Now, these churches all have to have support groups for all the women married to non-Christians or divorced.
If you go on to any web site for Christian women, it all the same story. Many single women are either never asked out because they are fat and/or stressed out college/career women. The young attractive women are not turned on by the beta males of their church, so they date and often marry non-Christian bad boys, then ask God to forgive their transgression, but they just had to follow their heart. The married women are stressed out about being a working mom married to a non-Christian man addicted to pornography. The rest are divorced after hitting the wall, not able to keep a man after their looks go downhill.
I’ll go to a church where the men stand up against this Satanic female privilege. It is basically Adam standing by and letting Eve do whatever the devil(aka feminism) tells her to do. Is this the case in E.O.C.?

  50. As a Catholic, i agree, i have much respect for the Othordox church. They have a great spiritual traditional.

  51. Orthodox under Russias rule is nothing but a religious branch of Putins rule and pretty profitable to the heads of Russias orthodox church.
So, no, it is not an answer to Wests decay, islamic invasion.
Why theres so much ignorance among so called red-pillers when it comes to politics and religion? Its either Trump vs everyone else or Putin vs everyone else, doesnt seem too smart to me, given how some boast being uber smart, self reliant, yet fall so easy for Trumps or Putins tricks of smoke and mirrors and disinformation.

  52. I was raised Catholic, but spent about 20 years of my adulthood in protestant churches of all kinds. there was always something missing however, though I did not know what. about 15 years ago, I stumbled upon eastern orthodoxy and joined up. although i am unable to attend services, for a variety of reasons, I still consider myself to be orthodox

    1. You continue to be Catholic, as part of the “one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church” through your baptism.
One does not have to remain Roman Rite. You would do well to find an Eastern Catholic rite church rather than Orthodox, and not break the unity of the Church.

      1. I heartily reject t the premise that the Catholic church is preeminent, orthodoxy has been more faithful to the apostolic faith than Rome has.And no, I do not continue to be Catholic.

        1. You can kid yourself, but the only real baptism is Catholic baptism, so yes, you are. You should reread your scriptures starting with Matt. 16:18

  53. I am a traditional Roman Catholic. I would be happy to write a follow-up article that fills in the loose gaps, but expounds on what the article gets right. I’ll do it in multiple parts if necessary.
Tell me who to submit this to and I’ll do it gladly.
The Western rite hasn’t failed; it’s just led by Modernist queers who hate their Traditions and patrimony: false shepherds who usurped the “Catholic” name and are just playing dress-up.
Point me in the direction and I’ll write more.
    l am at your service.

    1. “the western rite hasn´t failed; it´s just led by modernist queers”; it´s like saying “communism has not failed, it´s just led by troskist queers”; in catholic church 0,1% are tradicionalists, 9,9% are moderate, an 90% are modernists. This seems a failure to me

        1. Zero. At least for me. This site and its authors do all the writing for ROK on their own time, for free. There is no way Roosh could pay any of us and it would take away from the spirit I think. We are not writing for money. We are writing to change the world, hopefully for the better. I write because I simply don’t know what else to do to try and change the destruction of The West and all I hold dear. Writing for ROK, even if only here and there, is an outlet for all of us who want to stop what is happening to our countries. Will we help turn the tide? No one knows, but it is better than doing nothing.

      1. Damn straight it is. From the time of World War ll until 1965, the Church here in the US was busting at the seams. People want holiness, tradition, and to belong to some otherworldly.
As we Catholics in the catacombs say: “Before 1965, nothing changed but bread and wine; since 1965, everything changed but bread and wine.”

  54. Speaking as an Evangelical, this was a great article. Thank you very much and God Bless.

  55. Europeans did a lot of conquering under the banner of Christ… something to remember

  56. “This priest refers to God only when explaining the Orthodox version of salvation; it is God, not Jesus that is the focus of Eastern Orthodox faith.”
Jesus IS God to this priest. An emphasis on the Holy Trinity is one of the key hallmarks of Orthodoxy. To say that Jesus is not the focus of Eastern Orthodoxy is like saying the sun is not the focus of the Solar System. It’s absurd.
That being said, I think your main contention about the possibility of Orthodoxy uniting Europe is interesting and worth exploring. It certainly seems to be making strides in Russia, as you point out. It is probably the only other Christian sect I Could seriously consider converting to.

  57. Avoid Greek orthodoxs , they are too much leftists and progressives, almost pro marxists. they are in decay, and stooges of western forces. Only the monastic tradition of Mt Athos still survives. Russian Church is the strongest and still holding.

    1. See my comment above. It is particularly true of the Russian hierarchy as told to me by Russian priests. And don’t forget the KGB hold over the Russian Orthodox Church, as it is, after all, a State Church.

    2. Fucking bullshit. There are many so inclined because they love the largesse and have been conditioned to be such. There are many who are nationalist/ultra-nationalist who subscribe to Greek Orthodoxy and regard that, the nation and the ethnos sacrosanct.

      1. Actually, more subscribe to Orthodoxy (I disregard Turkey and lamb Christians) and are nationalists than pagans. In short, and I know that from a person who is subsribed to both nationalism and neo-pagansim (currently German but he started on Greek): neo-pagans in Greece started from ex-communists who wanted to believe in a deity under the rule of the skype Rassias. Lastly the person who did form the basis for neo-paganism in Greece was Liantinis… One of the worst probable spin-doctors, all he says are lies to sell what to the audience what it wants.
This video is him lecturing about the conception the Ancient Greeks had of death, sadly it lacks captions so it is only for Greek-speakers, I post it only show that people who know Greek and ancient Greek philosophy may start thinking about it. In short he credits to the ancients a nihilistic materialistic conception of death based on Plato, which is the opposite of what is true! He also tends to jump from one thing to one other barely connected to make his argument, he jumps from art to philosophy to science back to art to Eros (lovemaking) do death etc. in order to ascribe his beliefs. A brief final note: what he does with all his work is to justify every complex that the modern Greek had and remove the stigma from it. The video I cannot summarize further because I saw it 4 years ago grinding my teeth nearly the whole time.

        1. I appreciate that very thorough exegesis and will sit back to absorb it all as it is much to take in but all worthwhile.

      2. Episcopal hierarchy is almost completely corrupted degenerate and philo-progressive, almost communist. You can not trust them to help you build your own national orthodox church. Seek help from the Russians. Only Mt Athos monastic tradition is still holding in Greek world.

    3. What you say it has some truth in it you miss though one thing: The Church in Greece is a mess and the average Greek remembers his faith during the holidays… a sad situation, in truth most true Greek Orthodox (i.e. not turkey and lamb Christians) tend to range from patriotic to nationalistic, but after the death of our previous bishop (Christodoulos) the flock lacks a head as the new barely even noticeable bishop (Ieronymos) is socialist or an anarchists and has to keep his mouth shut not to oust himself…

    1. Interesting article.

  58. All our Obama lovers who also are atheists at our church are pushing for Refugee donations because it is the Christian thing to do.

  59. Good article. I still believe we need to revive Roman Catholicism. Orthodox is strong in the east but, it lacks the western soul. Theology and the hermetic movements that flourished and spread throughout Western Europe in the Middle Ages are non existent in the Orthodox Church, and so is our Roman Nordic heritage. I won’t go into any more detail as we’ve already discussed this but, a revived Roman Catholic Church of the Middle Ages, without a pope and without hierarchy, is the West’s only and greatest option.

  60. “Orthodox is strong in the east but, it lacks the western soul”. This is truer than one would believe at first. Orthodoxy is a breakaway from the Catholic Church and is deeply imbued with a non-Western orientalism and “the emperor is God” type mentality. This is the reason that martyrs since the fall of Constantinople are neo-martyrs – everything dates from the fall.
It is also terribly stick in the mud, have never progressed into even medieval civilization, the Orthodox only having what they have borrowed or stolen from Catholicism. Orthodox priests in general are uneducated (or educated poorly), and in the hierarchy homosexuals abound. (Orthodox priests are generally married, but the bishops must be celibate, and advancement up the hierarchy is by being the bishop’s boy). Even Mt. Athos was in the news in the past with homosexual cliques being evident there.
If you want to experience the best of “Eastern Christianity” you should go to a Catholic Eastern Rite church. The Catholic Church contains 30+ rites, most of which are Eastern.
If you want to understand the forbidden history of Orthodoxy that they play down, in pretending they are the true Church, read Vladimir Soloviev’s “Russia and the Universal Church”.

  61. The Catholic Church in the West is generally in decline, exceptions being the traditionalists (for now) and the Anglican Ordinariate (it remains to be seen if the AO can sustain itself or if it will be dragged down by the Latins).

  62. Christianity is about blood, pain, and death. It really only works and thrives in a Roman Empire, Crusade, or Soviet Communism type setting. It can work in a pure or near pure Caucasian setting like we had in the 1950’s USA, but that is more like the parable of the seed grain sown in shallow soil. We need more upheaval.

    1. The only authority on Christianity is the bible, this is the essence of Protestantism. To judge Christianity based on what Roman Catholicism expresses is misleading & unjust. They put too much faith in other humans interpreting the holy text for the followers of that particular strand of Christianity.
It can work in all racial settings, doesn’t need Caucasian races to function only.

      1. “The only authority on Christianity is the bible” Why do you say that and how do you know? Who has the authority to interpret sacred scripture. Which of the 33,000 sects of Protestantism has it right? It was the Councils of the Catholic Church that selected which books would go in the Bible. Nowhere in the Bible does it say anything like, “Only believe and do what it says in the Bible”. Now, as a Catholic, The Bible is the infallible Word of God but it is not the only source of revelation. As St Paul says in his second epistle to the Thessalonians (2:15), “So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.”
Protestantism is a rebellion against God. Not intentionally by those who grew up with it and there are many fine Protestants who follow Christ with the best intentions. But the living Jesus is in the Catholic Church (and Orthodox) present in the Eucharist. “My Flesh is real food and my blood is real drink”.
        Amen

  63. Religion is just wordism and as such has no value. In fact, insane Christianity that implores it’s adherents to turn the other check and love thy enemies when Whites are being genocided all over the world, is EVIL! Going forward, racial nationalism, on a global scale will save our civilization. 14/88!!!!

  64. Ah, yes, the old “Orthodox are the strongest, most macho Church” trope. I have dismissed that claim.
Most Orthodox Churches I’ve seen have people who are, at most, just as much socialist or leftist as the rest of the bunch. The Patriarch of Constantinople is called the “Green Patriarch” because he’s all about leftist environmentalism. The only real conservative part of the Orthodox are Russians, and they’re on the far right because the Kremlin tells them to be-which shows that they’re practically keked by the Russian government. A government controlling a church is practically a blue-pill shamble, no matter how much they try to dress it up as macho with macho alt-right statements. It’s a joke. Also, this is the same Church that hangs out with Iranian Muslim radicals and Chinese Communists. A Church that breaks bread with Islamic radicals and atheists is no Church for me. At least the Muslims that Pope Francis invites to the Vatican are moderates who are considered “bad Muslims” by the ISIS crowd.
The Greek Church is socialist, just as the Greek people are socialists. Nobody in the Church stood up to socialism, and now that’s ruined Greece economically. And unlike the Catholics, the Russian Orthodox barely put up resistance to abortion, which led to a very low Russian population. The childbirth rate is so pitifully low that they’re importing people in from atheist China. And for a “Christian” power, Russia supports atheists in China and radical Muslims in Iran. If that’s what passes for Christian now, I’d rather cast my lot with Pope Francis. At least he wanted ISIS bombed into the stone age. Also, he also went back on his immigration statements and said that local leaders have a right to determine whether or not to let immigrants in. At least the man realizes when he’s made an error.
The Catholic Church is in a leftist haze, sure, but they’re in a position to recover, and their population numbers, like the Muslims, aren’t lowering anytime soon. But the Orthodox, the so-called “true Christians”, are shrinking in population and relying on radical Muslims and Atheists for help. That’s not good at all. The most Catholics did was live beside the two, not help them. All it takes is another Benedict XVI and the Catholics are back on track. But in a few generations, the Orthodox will be a footnote to history, as Greece and the Balkans sputter in economic chaos, and the Russians shrink in population to the point of becoming a political nonentity.

  65. It’s kinda funny that the crowd that did nothing when Pope Benedict XVI stood up against Muslims now hate Pope Francis for being too diplomatic. Benedict cursed out Islam, and the Muslims started killing Catholics, while the Protestants and Orthodox didn’t lift a finger. Now Francis is being diplomatic to avoid casualties, and now the Protestants and Orthodox are whining, despite the fact that Protestant America deals with the autocratic Muslim Saudis and the Orthodox Russians makes deals with Radical Islamic Iran. You people are all one big, pathetic joke.

  66. Also, the Orthodox faith has been exposed to America for over a century ever since Russians and Greeks migrated to the US. And the rest of the US just looks at them as a bunch of weirdos. The Protestants just look at them and see them as fake Catholics, and the Catholics just look at them the same way they look at the Protestant “rebels” who defy the Pope. Looks like your ideas of Orthodoxy reviving the faith in the West is a joke. Traditionalists in Western Europe choose to embrace Catholicism or their own brand of Protestantism instead, seeing Orthodoxy as a Russian or Eastern European element foreign to their own traditions. And considering that the Orthodox Russian state breaks bread with radical Iranian Muslims and Christ-hating Chinese atheists, many traditionalist Christians in the West hate Orthodoxy for not being their ancestors’ version of Christianity and not standing up for the rights of Christians in lands ruled by these atheists and radical Muslims.

  67. The one thing, the ONLY thing, that makes Orthodoxy great is if they get a powerful SECULAR leader behind them supporting their cause, such as a Byzantine Emperor or a Russian Czar. In this case, Vladimir Putin. Isn’t it rather ironic, not to mention sad, that the supposed “true Christian” Church is seeking support from a former KGB agent? The Catholic Church was influential before the rise of Catholic monarchs. In fact, it kind of helped in the rise of said monarchs by helping them consolidate their powers. The Catholic Church is the kind of Church that can act on its own. Orthodoxy waits for Byzantine Emperors, Russian Czars, or former KGB agents for their marching orders. I suppose that would make Christ proud, wouldn’t it?

  68. For someone who is an admirer of ancient Rome, I think Orthodox Christianity makes much more sense for you to follow than what smashed the last remnants of the Eastern Roman Empire. And of course, you would be a part of what is saving Western Europe (and currently protecting Eastern Europe) than what is destroying it.

  69. I enjoy articles of faith on ROK which is a good balance to articles on how to get sloots to do your bidding.
Anyhow – I would be remiss of my spiritual commission if I didn’t say this: there is only the way, the truth and the life. His name is Yeshua Hamasiach – the messiah. His church is the community of believers and that is it. There is no religion. There is only life, and follow his word and profess with your mouth that he is lord, and yet shall be saved.
There is no need for rituals, iconography, buildings of grandeur, only your faith.
*side note* while the Orthodox Church has much more grounded roots than the Zionist/illuminati RCC, it is still Babylon. You must come out of her. I know the caricature of the Bible believing evangelical is some cnn concocted billy graham corn fed bigot, but the true depiction of bible believers are Israelites (not khazar/Ashkenazis). If you are one who follows the Masiach – Christ, you are an Israelite. There is no need to be in a physical Church when all you need is your faith guided by the logos. Shalom

  70. “Protestants wanted more Jesus and less God talk from the Pope because it was Jesus that truly saves.” … For crying out loud, Jesus Is God! The greatest enemy of the church is not the disunity of structure but the elements who want the church destroyed entirely.

  71. Muslims respect Orthodox Christians btw because they are similar in being strong in their faith. In Muslim lands, Christians that survive, remain, usually are Orthodox. Orthodox churches in the west I see much more children and young families than a lot of other churches. Great idea. Uncuck-yourselves, go Orthodox!

  72. As beautiful as the Orthodox Church, it is far to foreign for us Westerners and if one who is old stock American stops in, they are simply out of place. You almost have to become a pretend Greek or Russian. I believe it is continuing Anglicanism that holds the key to saving the West. It is Catholic, but not Roman. It is Orthodox, but still Western.

  73. “Our future will look as bright as Russia’s”…….
You mean a future where the native population is shrinking due to abortion, where the “Christian” leaders are forced to make allies with atheists like China or radical Muslims like Iran?
Yeah, no, we can do without such a future.

  74. The current pope is a false pope. Ratzinger’s resignation was illegal. It violated Canon 188. There is no pope. The Catholic Church is dead. Catholics (like me) should consider converting to the Orthodox faith. This is a great article. Very impressive.

  75. The catholic church went to shit after vatican 2 in 1965.I’m not saying the catholic church was ever perfect but the pre vatican 2 church was way more faith full to the true message of Christ than the sorry ass francis version we have now.

  76. Wow… I think the DISQUS system must reset after 1000 comments!!! There was at least 900 when I check my notifications in DISQUS itself and view replies in discussion. Thank you all for making this article such a hit.

  77. The split between the Orthodox and Catholic faith was very explained very well by Tim Cahill, the historian. Orthodox Church is controlled by the Greeks, the descendants of Plato, Aristotle and Socrates… They love logic and discussions. In contrast, the Catholic Church comes from the Italians who are much more visual people, and their churches are prettier, with amazing frescos, and their ceremonies are grander. The Italians and the Greeks never could get along, on anything and it was doomed to break up the church.

  78. Good read with a good premise, however you’re very wrong on some serious issues. I am a Roman Catholic, however, I dated a Romanian Orthodox girl for 5yrs, spent a ton of time getting to know their faith, and was even in Romania for some time where I made a deep friendship with an Orthodox priest
1: To say that “the Orthodox faith puts a greater emphasis on God and less of an emphasis on Jesus” is a severely flawed statement that shows a lack of theological and doctrinal understanding of Catholicism and Orthodoxy. First off, they both regard Jesus Christ as God, the Son of the Holy Trinity. The Trinity as a whole is the main focus of both Churches and Christ is seen as the only way to the Father. This is exemplified by the Jesus Prayer which is one of the most important prayers in Orthodoxy (Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner).
2: The Pope is the Bishop of Rome and the successor to the Seat of Peter. To simply say the the Orthodox reject the Pope is an untrue statement. Their official view is that the Bishop of Rome is the “primer inter pares” or “first among equals” regarding the entire congregation of Orthodox and Catholic Bishops. They do not believe in the Popes supreme authority, nor do they accept infallibility (although this is a complex idea because it does not mean that the Pope can never be wrong or do wrong).
3: You seem to be offering some sort of likeness between Orthodoxy and protestantism simply because they were schismatic. This could not be farther from the truth. Catholicism and Orthodoxy are nearly identical in doctrine with few, minor differences such as the Filioque (which may not be minor in theological thought but means little to the practicing layman). Protestantism is what is wrong with Christianity. The devil has a great tool with them, especially the non denominational evangelicals. Protestantism is what has crept into the Catholic Church and done serious damage.
The two true Churches must unite against the powers that be.

  79. Here is a fine example of the beauty of a Russian Orthodox Easter midnight service here in America – specifically, in Jackson, New Jersey:

There is a long-established Russian emigre community in that area, including the descendants of White Army veterans and Cossacks who were on the losing side of the Russian Civil War of 1918-22. Their church is the most Conservative of all Christian churches, and their services are like a step back in time to the world of the Czars. Note that there are no organs in their churches, because they believe that God should only be worshipped with the live human voice and not with dead musical instruments – the result is (in my opinion ) the most beautiful choral tradition on earth. Anyway, to translate: “Hristos voskresye iz myertvikh, smertiyu smert poprav, i sushchim vo grobyekh zhivot darovav” means “Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life. ” You will also hear the priest often proclaim: “Hristos voskresye!” – to which the congregation responds with: “Vo istinu voskresye!”, which means “Indeed He is risen!” The midnight procession three times around the church is followed by a three-hour service inside the church, during which the congregation stands. After it’s over everyone goes to the church hall for the blessing of the Easter food baskets.

  81. Men of RoK: You have got to stop viewing Christianity as a means to an end. The purpose of the Gospel is not to re-masculinise cultures and instill a return to traditional values (though when believed in truly that is one of its many glorious side-effects). The purpose of the Gospel is the salvation of Mankind from sin and death. If all you see it as is a means of defeating the feminist plague and a return to patriarchal virtue then it will be of no use to you.

Makes perfect sense, the majority of people who liberally throw around the word “Cuck” upon anyone who isn’t right of Richard Spencer themselves tend to be even worse basement-dwellers than your average SJW.
