This list appears accurate, but the problem is we run the risk of becoming neurotic by analyzing every ingredient and every container, all to maintain high testosterone that, if we were to be honest, we don’t really need while sitting in our office jobs, retrieving food from the refrigerator, surfing the internet on our smartphones, and sleeping with sluts who don’t need us to defend their lives. If there was a new World War, I guarantee testosterone would immediately spike to insane levels. Your body won’t produce something it doesn’t need. The trick may be to just convince your body it needs to hunt and kill.

    1. You’re right! We are taking this T-obsession very far. I have read like 30 articles about 80 (or more) meals and drinks that decrease T-levels. I’ve taken some of this “advises” very seriously during the last 2 years and nothing really changed. Then I hit the gym and my energy and confidence increased notably enough to feel the improvement, for example.
      Short story: about six months ago a friend took me to hunt deer and wild boar. I thought it would take a bit of shooting, watching and learning. Nothing like it. We went with the people who follows the dogs (I do not know the exact term in English) to finish off the wounded animal. After a lot of running and sweating we saw that the dogs had caught a wounded boar on one leg, so my friend put a knife in my hand and said “you better kill him, now”. Despite being scared as fuck, it took me a few seconds to react and stab the boar in the lung (still don’t know why my reaction was so fast). My testosterone levels just hit the ceiling at that time. I was doing what a man has been made to do, for what nature has prepared me. Since then I have accompanied him to hunt whenever I could, and I love it so bad.
      Moral: it is the lifestyle that makes man, habits, nature following. What you eat or drink can help to a vey small extent.

          I don’t think that you can have an average of “blacks” or “whites” in this context because you are not dealing with homogeneous populations. Additionally, the study you posted was published in 1992 and dealt with populations during the Vietnam Era (mid to late 1960s). Also it shed doubt on the hypothesis that black men have higher levels of testosterone than white men.
          In any case, I think that you have to consider the diet of black men and white men in the US. A greater percentage of black men than white men live in poorer areas with poor access to quality nutrition and exercise facilities. I find it hard to believe in this context that black men would have higher levels of testosterone, unless there is another explanation for it.

        2. Yes. Both the macros and micros have to be eaten properly and in a balanced way. 250 grams of proteins, 200 grams of carbs, 50 grams of fats, and a lot of vegetables and a vitamine pill each day are appropriate amount whiles cutting.
          While clean bulking, 200 grams of protein, 300 grams of carbs, and 100 grams of fat are appropriate for many (always adjusted for individual variations).

        3. That’s a lot of fat for bulking. Remember that fat doesn’t need to be converted to fat in order to be stored in a caloric excess.

    7. The environmental effects such as plastics and other chemicals that our body’s are exposed to might lower T because your body is a control system. If it sees something in your blood stream that looks similar to T in chemical structure, your body will naturally lower its own output of T. I think it’s possible that we could be seeing that today. I don’t know.
      My belief is that the reason why men of yester-year (decades ago) had higher T levels on average is because they performed more physical labor back then, especially with their jobs. Constant physical labor and physical stress prompt the human body into producing more testosterone, which is why doing deadlifts in the gym is supposed to produce more T. Because it puts your entire body under physical stress.
      Today, a lot of men just have “sit around” office types of jobs and/or spend lots of time on the couch watching football and playing video games while eating sugar and grains and little meat/fat. That’s an excellent recipe for lower T.

And is hard to lift when you are tired. I check my testosterone level, according to my doctor my levels are normal.

      1. One thing you can do is get your hair checked for aluminium and mercury levels. Supposedly Hep-B contains a fair bit of aluminium depending on the manufacturer and there’s a fair bit of aluminium in our environment (water, cans of drink, deodorant, etc) that the vaccines could have pushed you over an edge.
        If the hair test comes back positive for heavy metals, you’ll have ways of removing metals from your body.
        They don’t naturally leave your body easily.
        BTW lots of parents are having great success reducing autism symptoms by removing heavy metals from their children.
        The other possibility is a candida infection in the gut. Of course, big medical will tell you that vaccines don’t cause autism and you can’t cure it.

  14. Obesity increases estrogen levels thru the increased peripheral conversion of testosterone metabolites into estrogen. I can’t recall the chemistry but adipose tissue , in excessive will increase the estrogen levels in men. Look at fat dudes and they will have microdicks and this is due to the hyperestrogenism induced by being fat. This is seen in the significantly obese not just the typical 10-20 lbs men carry around.     As an extra bonus – consider hops in beer! Beer has always been promoted as man’s drink.   23. Jobs and lifestyles that lack exercise and hard physical labor are one of the largest contributors to low T among western men.
    Im middle aged and have worked my entire adult life as forester. I’m outdoors 40 weeks out of the year, climbing hills and mountains. Most of my movement starts out with long walks into where Im working..then the rest of the day of the day involves short sprints interspersed with standing in one place.
    This type of exercise has kept me very fit. Combined with a very healthy diet my libido ( for a 40 + year old guy) is very strong! No ED here !
    Lastly, my livelihood also involves working around other men who are self made, tough and not PC in the least. Most of these guys are logging contractors and their crews. There is a lot of competition, ribbing, joking and you either deal with it and give it right back or you will never make it. For a young guy entering the profession, its an environment that will bleed the gamma tendencies right of a man – and quick -….or he will leave because he’s too emotionally fragile.
    Im convinced if more men were able to get back to an occupation that involved physical exercise, being close to the land and around other men who weren’t pussies -a lot of our low T problems would dissapear

  24. Consuming too much sugar and processed food is another big testosterone dropper. Also lack of regular exercise is another. Too much alcohol lowers your testosterone too, beer is like drinking liquid estrogen. Lot of guys think chugging down beer makes them “manly”, it has the opposite effect and gives you a large belly, high carb and high sugar diets also give you a belly as well.
    Using plastic to hold your food and drinks is bad, but also using Teflon cookware is bad as well. You can invest in a filter for water, and as far as grooming, the best thing is just to bathe and shave regularly rather than use all sorts of cosmetics.
    The main reason plastics are bad as a lot of people use plastic to reheat food in microwaves. Its better to use glassware.

  25. Consuming food with soy or eating soy itself also ruins your testosterone levels. Eating a diet high in carbs and sugar while being sedentary is another way to lower it as well. Drinking too much alcohol is also bad for your testosterone level, that is why alcoholics often have enlarged abdomens.

    I’ve been using a carbon filter for a while, but I’m considering switching to a reverse osmosis one soon. One thing worries me though- doesn’t such a filter remove essential minerals from the water? The one I have adds minerals to it, and I switch it for a new one every 2 months. What about reverse osmosis filters?

    1. You’re right, reverse osmosis (RO) removes minerals.
      If you use RO, take mineral and electrolyte supplements, magnesium is key.
