3 Things American Girls Can Learn From Japanese Women

We’ve heard it all before: tales of the Far East enraptured in mystique and intrigue. Men of yesteryear such as Marco Polo and Lafcadio Hearn taking the roads less traveled and venturing into territories once seen incomprehensible to the Western palate.

Despite much of their content being praised for its integrity and nostalgia, unfortunately, much of the material and reporting you see on Japan nowadays borders on mainstream clickbait and blue pill perspectives. Catered to English audiences, the American male is rationed a hearty staple of “OMG Japan is <insert snarky comment here>” from the conformist bastion of Western news platforms.

The MSM is more concerned with Japanese fertility than their own.

Don’t buy into the hyperbole of the media reports. Much of Japan is insulated from the cultural malaise plaguing America. For those who want to see a different side of the country, looking at how the women interact with men is a good indicator of how the society operates. Here are three areas where Japanese women can teach American females a thing or two…

1. Looks

Not a day goes by where you won’t be in awe of how many women here looked like they walked out of some high-end fashion magazine. Despite what you hear about how Japan is a homogenous society, the phenotypic variation in people is astounding. From the palest of skin from northern parts of the island to the more tanned variant in the south, you’ll be able to find a type that best fits your affinities.

As far as bodies are concerned, don’t listen to the nonsense saying that the ladies here lack in the curves department.

Body sizes of women in Japan.

Countless times, my friends have come here and couldn’t believe what they were seeing. There is a word here that exemplifies what is considered the ideal body type for women. Referred to as bon-kyu-bon (ボンキュッボン), this describes what we refer to in the English-speaking world as an “hourglass” figure. From all of the dieting products, skin care regimens, and tons of health food options available here, many ladies go over and beyond to ensure they look their best at all times.

Contrast this with the “beauty at any size” movements and the deep push for rainbow-colored hair in the West and it isn’t difficult to see how the Japanese variant is head-and-shoulders above the so-called competition.

2. Femininity

Not a day goes by where you will see an ample number of city dwellers dressed to the nines. Floral blouses, pencil skirts, and high heels rule the day as you’ll see as many women dolled up and ready to face the world. Many visitors who come here for the first time are taken aback by the womanly fashion that breezes past on a Shinjuku sidewalk. Sites like Bijin-Snap focus on such a paradigm, as the concept of the site is to take snapshots of various girls going about their day.

Contrast that with the yoga pants, ugg(ly) boots, and North Face jackets you see many American females wear like a badge of honor. Like many things in life, initial impressions are to be taken seriously and can determine how outsiders perceive you. Many Japanese women understand that.

A random Tuesday in Tokyo.

While general appearance is essential, the personality traits of many women here are what separate the wheat from the chaff. If you’re coming from Western culture, you’re playing on hard mode: constant shit tests, negs, and having inane chess matches with the opposite sex just to get anywhere substantial.

I don’t know about you, but as someone with several business ventures, hobbies, and goals designed around self-improvement, I don’t have time to play mental gymnastics with some girl who thinks she has to demean you in every aspect of her interactions with men.

With many of the ladies here, there’s a value towards peace and harmony that transcends any dysfunctional platitudes. As a man, as long as you’re confident, respectful of the cultural mores, and strive to improve yourself, you won’t have to worry about being ball-busted. That’s the way it should be.

3. Commitment

Like many women, Japanese girls are relationship oriented and if they like you enough, don’t be surprised how quickly things develop. For the more traditionally-minded men, a lot of women here would be right up your alley, as the ideas of giving and taking care of you are practically ingrained in the culture.

An example of this is on Valentine’s Day, where women buy men gifts. While men usually return this gesture of love the following month, the idea of giving and taking as a feeling of expression showcases the caretaking ethos of the culture. This concept is a just a small example of the countless number of ways ladies show their appreciation for you.

A common scene during the month of February.

Generally, as a Western male, you have quite a few opportunities to play the field, but if you have a good girlfriend, often you won’t need to. In fact, I would urge you not to, as racking up numbers—while fun in its own right—will put a negative image of you in the socially conscious structure of society.

Unfortunately, there are also a lot of men here who are manga dweebs and mentally unstable pudwacks who think that just being from the Anglosphere gives them license to print pussy. Honestly, while those sorts of individuals can get laid, they are often relegated to those women who hang out around the “gaijin” (外人) spots and have been ridden harder than Seabiscuit. Ladies of a different caliber don’t want to be around such guttersnipes.

What most foreigners end up going home with.

If you are in good shape, have a modicum of game, and some parts of the language under your belt, then you won’t go without here; that I can assure you. Just respect the culture, observe your surroundings (空気を読む) and understand the rules of the game. Just because people “don’t say anything” doesn’t mean that it is the right action to take. Keep these aspects in mind, and you’ll be able to maximize your ability to thrive here.

If you’re tired of having to climb uphill just to have healthy relationships with women, then Japan might not be a bad place to go. The combination of looks, personalities, and the ability to have lasting relationships are what matter regarding the dealing with women.

For centuries, the Western world understood those ideas, and thus great societies were born. Nowadays, the cultural ailments plaguing these lands have become so apparent that many men decide to drop out altogether. But you don’t need to. The intrigue of the Far East kept numerous men coming back for more, and if you follow some of the cultural nuances of this part of the world, you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for in Japanese women.

  1. Interesting article. For a long time I have lumped the Japanese and Chinese into a broader category but have recently come to see the very fine and appreciative differences between the cultures. In my experience, some Chinese can be rude, loud and quite obnoxious. The Japanese on the other hand are usually quite respectful and I wouldn’t be completely opposed to begin intermingling with their female population.

    1. Chinese are much more materialistic than the Japanese.
The Japanese like nice things, but the Chinese only like nice things.

    2. That’s like lumping the French and British together. We couldn’t be any more different.

    3. The Japanese also have a very broad range of interests to the tune of being very much like westerners in that they can’t be pigeonholed so easily, which sets them apart from most Chinese and Koreans from what I’ve observed.
They like rock music, they enjoy western classical music, they sort of have their own Goth youth culture called “visual kai”, they like climbing mountains, and are big on baseball and rugby while their neighbors aren’t too keen on those sports.
At the same time, Christianity is almost a non-entity in Japan while 30% of South Koreans are observant (there are mega churches in Seoul EVERYWHERE), and even Taiwan is about 7% Christian and there are prominent churches in most Taiwanese cities and larger towns.
It’s a classic mistake thinking that all of the northeast Asian cultures are close to the same beyond just language.

      1. Largely accurate comment. However, climbing/hiking (등산/하이킹) is very popular among the Koreans as well. It’s true that Japan has more of subcultures and alternative styles, though. Of course one find that in Korea as well but to lesser extent. Instead, Koreans largely follow the same trends, although the global fitness phenomenon has made people split into at least two major categories.

    4. General reply to this article. I’m Anglo-Australian and have just a five year relation ship with a Japanese girl. Sure Japanese girls are good looking and Japan is a great place to visit. They can have a lot of fun and be wonderful to be around. But if you think for a single second they are “perfect” or a easy pushover you are completely deluding yourself. Do not work in Japan and pay the rent, better to just go out the back and take a cyanide pill and have someone burn your body. It would be much easier for you in the long run. In your home country, you can bet your bottom dollar they will be extracting information from the internet like a hoover on how to manipulate the situation to their advantage. See her intently staring at her smart phone right now? Shes on a Japanese forum learning how to manipulate a western man. Wake up you fool before its too late. Never forget… “The devil greets to you with a smile.” What you do from here is your choice.

      1. Despite my opinions on Japanese girls. I would much appreciate hearing more on the topic of Japanese women from the author. Keep it up Makato, I do have a soft spot for Japanese pussy. So please, Makato give us more. Some of that kinky Japanese gear, bring it on.

  2. Watch out though…Japanese women are beautiful but can be a special kind of crazy. Western crazores can’t even hold a candle to what an Asian woman can do to you psychologically if you are unprepared.

  3. The difference between Chinese and Japanese is massive. Let me give you an example. Many years ago, I was working my way through south east China. For a few days I teamed up with a Brit to help share room costs, etc. I have Chinese language skills, so it helped him in that department. So, we get to the town of Lijiang in Yunnan province. We go to the guesthouse that had been recommended but it’s pretty full. The only two beds they have left are in separate “dorm” style rooms. One room has 5 beds total, for 10 yuan a night, and the other had 3 beds total, for 15 yuan a night. At that time, we were talking a difference of less than 75 US cents. But the Brit was really trying to cut corners, so he insisted on taking the cheaper room. His room was occupied by an Aussie couple and a Chinese couple. My room was occupied by a Japanese couple.
We’d had a long day of travel, so after catching a bite to eat we both went to bed. I had just about fallen asleep when my roommates (whom I had not met to that point) came back to the room. When they realized the third bed was occupied, they turned out the light and began whispering as quietly as possible, while taking the utmost care not to make any other noises as they got ready for bed.
The next morning, I met up with the Brit and asked him how his night went. “Fucking terrible!” he said. After he’d laid down in bed, the Chinese couple came back to the room, threw on the light, and began eating their dinner, all the while talking very noisily to each other, and that this went on for a couple hours. Because they’d not been introduced to my friend, the Chinese concept of face allowed them to completely ignore his presence.
I know that Japanese-style deference has its drawbacks too, but I don’t think they’re worse than the selfishness that Chinese culture can sometimes inculcate.

    1. you should throw some articles about those differences, there are lots of koreans near my workplace and bitches drop down their panties at the sight of a expensive car but they won0t even reply good morning if they see you on foot

    2. Before I read the entirety of your comment, I had assumed the Chinese couple decided to engage in loud sex while your Brit friend was in the room. That would have been amusing. Lolz

    3. In terms of behavior, comparing Chinese and Japanese is like comparing low-class, urban NYC blacks to small town Swedish-Americans from Minnesota.

    4. Mainland Chinese people are awful – no manners whatsoever. You can tell the difference when you see them at tourist attractions and how they treat everyone around them – like they are not even there. They shout across rooms, shove past people at the airport, act like complete asses – WAY worse than the American stereotype. Chinese people not from the mainland will warn you – don’t go to China.

      1. Taiwan is the total opposite. Wonderful wonderful people and lots of attractive women in the 7 range and even soft 8’s.
Growing up in a Republic versus a Communist clusterfuck like the mainland does wonders for Chinese character and class.

        1. I’m in my mid 30s and I would be thrilled to live in Taiwan at this point in life. Hands down.
It’s a place where degeneracy goes to die, quality of life is good, street safety is without comparison, ladies are nice, and it costs half as much as Japan. Car ownership isn’t necessary either. Zip around this beautiful island on your Motorbike at 50km an hour and breath in life!

      2. “Mainland Chinese people are awful – no manners whatsoever.”
        And here’s the interesting thing…
No doubt China is the World’s #1 manufacturer. And every other week she seems to accomplish something (gasp!) remarkable. However, with this growing economic clout, will mainlanders still be ‘awful’ people? Is it safe to say things might get better in the ‘manners’ department? I doubt it. Perhaps. Will the Chinese adapt for the sake of business? Is this a permanent characteristic?
        Interesting times ahead.

    5. I was studying in France for a year in college, and one of the people I talked to the most in my class was a Chinese girl, as she was one of the few who spoke English. She was a nice girl. There was a Japanese girl in the class too, who I slept with once, which was her first time. Anyway, one day before a class had started a guy backed away from a table and accidentally stepped on the Japanese girl’s foot, hard. You could tell that it caused her pain. But she quickly covered her mouth with both hands, and smiled at him through the pain, while he apologized.
The Chinese girl was a bit annoyed by this, and told me, “Look, a Japanese girl is quiet. A Chinese girl would be ‘Waaaah!’” I always remembered that as she said it in such a funny way. She thought the Japanese and Korean girls were too quiet and timid and that it reflected badly on East Asians.
But while Chinese girls aren’t as quiet as the Japanese ones, and don’t cover their mouths in that automatic way, I have found that on average they are far calmer and sweeter than Western girls. I have dated many of them and they were all pleasant experiences. I am still in contact with one Chinese girl now and then, a very sweet girl who I deeply regret that I couldn’t be with permanently, but I wouldn’t want half-Chinese children. (And she, for her part, wouldn’t marry a Chinese either. She said that after me, she never wanted to sleep with a Chinese guy. I’ll leave out the obvious anatomical reason for this, which she mentioned. She married another Western guy later, but still says that the year she lived with me was the best time in her life. Ah, the sadness that comes from dating many women.)

    6. I have hung around many, many Japanese, both men and women.
One day, my very good friend and I were walking down the street, in chinatown, a chinese man was riding a beat up bicycle, chain was rusty. Pretty much shit that he could have taken care of himself.
So I asked “man, how can he ride that”
My friend replied, “because Chinese people don’t care”
That has stuck with me, as I often go around chinatown here in Toronto. I can see the type of people/races that have a nihilist mentality and the ones that don’t.
Japan much like the Europeans have a care attitude, their respect and search for beauty, they make an effort to attain it and surround themselves with beauty. their environment, their buildings, their systems, all beauty driven. Where as many other races and culture don’t care, and that is visible in art, painting, literature, music.
The younger breed of white kids are nihilist, that’s what the liberal mentality breeds, black people by nature are nihilists, since they don’t respect anything, no matter what. Europeans built a lot in Africa, they destroyed it because they didn’t build it. In the US they take over neighborhoods, they let it decay because they didn’t build it, they have no respect.
Nihilism is ruining white countries, the young white people think an Indian is going to care more about Canada, than a European, or a descendant of Europeans that built the country? nihilism is a hidden disease.

  4. Also, I totally agree with the article about the differences in body types. Japanese women are far more likely to be curvaceous than Chinese or Korean. The latter two, especially Korean women, tend to have pancake asses of the type you rarely see in Japan.

  5. Interesting article, and I’d say accurate going from my limited interaction with Japanese girls.
I imagine they would be westernized and rot to the core if you bring them here, unfortunately.

It really depends upon the Japanese or Korean woman. If she was a bar girl than yes, if she was a Tokyo banker maybe not.
Imagine you are an Asian woman in America. You cannot just wander down the road. You might not be a citizen. The Jewish or white divorce lawyer or judge is actually the one female who sees you on a primitive level as sexual competition on the marketplace and will not be eager to let your kids go with you.
They are not like some Russian woman who is white and can integrate.

  7. Fat shaming works
A real case from a former fatty in japan
“I totally know how you feel. I used to be big myself and started to lose weight because I couldn’t take it anymore. Even though the end result is that I look “good” now, it doesn’t translate as well to the inside. I lost weight because I felt I HAD to”

  8. Communication is important both for friendship and romantic relationships. I have yet to meet a Japanese who was able to speak English properly. I am talking about real Japs, not Japanese-American.
Proceed with caution. I personally think Asian women in general are more likely to be gold-diggers than their white counterparts in Europe.

  9. An interesting article, whetting my appetite for Japan. Though I suspect bijin-snap.com is for Japan what Hel-looks is for Finland – staged/half-staged photo shoots attempting to put forward a certain image. Bijin-snap goes with smart & classy, Hel-looks ranges from strange to bizarre.
Japan is on my bucket list, so I guess seeing is believing. Perhaps already this year, but latest when Kuroda-san makes Nippon cheap again via hyperinflation.

    1. Japan’s never cheap. Unfortunately it is indeed among the most expensive countries in the world to visit.
Even if your doing the backpacker thing and just staying in hostels, four days in Tokyo, a bullet train to Kyoto, spending 2 days there, then a bus to Osaka and spending another 2 or 3 days there will set you back $1,000 or more.
As a naturally taller, weightier, westerner with a higher energy requirement, it can be a struggle getting a meal there which costs less than like $8 USD, and high drink prices in bars and entry fees to Tokyo Tower, Ghibli Museum, etc. add up quick.

  10. When I was a younger man, I met a few Japanese girls out and about. They were all attractive, feminine, slender, sweet, demure, long dark hair, soft spoken, lighter complexions, and not like the typical mouthy, cursing like a dockworker western bar-fly/BBW trollops (fattened up by the local fare of burnt ends and biscuits & gravy) here in Kansas City. I knew a conservative Protestant minister who married a young Christian Japanese woman he met while on the mission field, and he was very pleased with her. He did say that many native Japanese women tended to be a bit naive, but as the writer stated, if they like you, they are quicker on the draw to enter a traditionalist relationship and/or marriage.

  11. Japan overall is great place to live (for a while at least) or visit. The language might be a problem and many girls are indeed thin and feminine but have ugly to dull faces and/or teeth (unlike Korea where almost everyone is obsessed about fixing their flaws). So you must wait a while until the 6-8 show up. Luckily, Tokyo and Osaka are big cities (especially Tokyo, obviously), and even places like Kyoto, Hiroshima and Fukuoka have many pretty girls that like relatively good-looking foreign guys.
A good thing with Japan is that the average height among girls is about 158.5 centimers (maybe 161 among today’s young adults but still short), and they are very often skinny/slim like I said, so if you come there as a short guy who has to wait a bit longer for girls with appropriate heights in the West you could slay there if you are at least moderately good-looking and have decent social skills and game understanding.

    1. Your spot on about the teeth issue in Japan Mr. Adams
I thought the overall outward appearance of Japanese women outclassed Taiwanese girls by the greater part of a whole point on the 10 scale, But Taiwanese women without question had a better set of teeth. Same with Vietnamese and Korean women as you say.
Japan REALLY needs to work on that flaw.

  12. They might be good points BUT anyone thinking about dating a Japanese woman has to take into account
1/ Their temper may explode out of nothing Japanese puts an onus on not losing control and over time this builds up until they explode.
2/ They could have worked in the porn or red light industry, by Japanese own figures 1 in every 200 women have done porn, on top of that the high numbers of women that have worked in prostitution in some form such as brothels, soaplands, pink salons(BJ only), delivery health, compensated dating etc.
3/ They can be violent knifings are “dime a dozen in Japan with woman equally as guilty as men.

  13. That’s a great term for annoying weaboos: Manga Dweebs. The spergs who only read manga and think Japan is like their precious comic books.

  14. The good ones aren’t really interested in foreigners.
I’m a 6’1″, slim, 8/10 guy with shitty Japanese and all I ever got in my year there split between Tokyo and Osaka were girls that Japanese guys didn’t want. (ugly and / or too westernized)
    My Japanese is bad though.
Back home white girls line up for me, so this was definitely a waste of time in terms of getting laid with quality girls.

    1. That’s not necessarily true the good ones can be interested in foreigners but you have to get noticed, the big issue in Japan is the lack of English being spoken. True there a heap of women not getting noticed by local men, the question is why?

    2. For higher-quality Japanese girls, it’s actually better to meet them in the United States (college students and the like). They usually know English and are a self-selected group who like white men. Plus, you’re still spitting your Game on easy mode relative to American chicks.

  15. Even John Lennon gave up everything for Yoko Ono. She’s probably the biggest Japanese feminist entitled pile of crap that ever existed. Don’t fall for this nonsense.
I’d say that less than 20% of women are worth your time anymore, Japan or in the west.

  16. Having lived in Japan as a civilian for 4 years, there are some draw backs to having a relationship with a Japanese girl. Absolutely, she is more inclined to be kind, patient, and be a traditional housewife who takes care of her figure. But, once they become moms they CAN become total psycho bitches. They throw themselves into being moms so fiercely that they put being a wife on the back burner. They often move out of the bedroom to sleep next to the baby/small children, sometimes until the kids are up to 4 years old or more. Then the relationship between the husband sours, and they husband is merely seen as breadwinner, who hands over his earnings to his wife who dispenses the money according to her whims. It is very common for a husband and wife to divorce once the kids have graduated high school.
