Did Roseanne Barr Deserve For Her Career To Be Destroyed For Mocking Obama Adviser Valerie Jarrett?

Comedian Roseanne Barr launched a firestorm with the following tweet about Valerie Jarrett:

muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj

In the aftermath, ABC cancelled her show. She might now find herself as unemployable as celebrities busted for bad flirting.

Obama’s consigliere

Valerie Jarrett was born to two Americans living abroad in Iran, and spent her early childhood there. Perhaps that inspired the “Muslim brotherhood” part of Roseanne’s quip. If not, maybe it references pro-Muslim sentiment. Who the hell knows?

Valerie’s parents are Black, though not pure African. She doesn’t much look like it. Actually, it’s hard to describe her appearance. Even so, this makes the rest of the quip very politically incorrect. Was Roseanne really talking about Valerie’s ancestry, or was she merely implying a resemblance to Zira from the classic 1968 movie? Who the hell knows?

What’s more noteworthy is Jarrett’s radicalinski ancestry. Frontpage Mag describes some family members—including her husband Vernon—involved in front groups, one linked to some leading Weathermen. Other family connections included figures like Alfred Stern (a Soviet spy), Frank Marshall Davis (a Communist writer who was also Obama’s mentor, but speculated by some to be his biological father), among others. Still, I can’t come down on Valerie too hard for that, since I’m technically a red diaper baby too.

During Obama’s Chicago days—about which far more could be said—his future wife Michelle was hired by Jarrett at the mayor’s office. The three of them hit it off pretty well, friends since 1991. When The Lightworker was elected President, she became a top advisor. While he was acclimating to the new job and seemed rather stunned by it all, his friend Valerie was a comforting presence. Jarrett also had leadership roles in the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault and the White House Council on Women and Girls.

Following the Obama administration, she’s been staying active. Most notably, Jarrett joined Lyft’s Board of Directors. However, she’s been out of the news until now.

Roseanne’s damage control attempts

At first, Roseanne apologized, stating that it was a bad joke. That much is plausible; outrageous stuff is one of her shticks. Sometimes she overdoes it, like her awful attempt at singing the “Star Spangled Banner” in 1990. That one struck a sour note, but it didn’t end her career.

Apparently monkey business is more serious than mocking the national anthem. What she really meant by what she wrote might be a mitigating factor. Still, it won’t matter in the court of “public opinion”. Did she cross boundaries? Sure. Still, the reaction is disproportionate.

Later, she blamed her posting on Ambien. That would create sufficient plausible deniability. (There are anecdotes about airline passengers on sleeping pills who do things like sleepwalk naked or even urinate on their clothes.) However, since Roseanne first said it was a bad joke, it’s hard to change her plea to diminished capacity.

Virtue signaling doesn’t work

Other damage control efforts got weirder yet. The Daily Mail describes some of these:

‘Rod Serling wrote Planet of The Apes. It was about anti-semitism. That is what my tweet referred to-the anti semitism of the Iran deal. Low IQ ppl can think whatever they want.’

Further along those lines:

‘My childhood was spent growing up in an apartment house owned by my grandmother filled with survivors of Auschwitz and Belsen. I am an advocate 4 them & for all oppressed ppl. I will always be 4 FREEDOM FROM MOB MENTALITY,’ wrote Roseanne.

The previous night she had responded to a tweet about her Planet of the Apes interpretation by stating: ‘i dreamed about my childhood, growing up with survivors of nazi camps-.’

Clearly she’s grasping at straws, but the Ambien excuse was better than this.

She wrote: ‘I want u all2 know I’m fine. I’ve been using this time2 reflect & 2 gain insight on what I said & how it was misunderstood.. Needless2 say I’m NOT what people have accused me of! I’ve never practiced ‘RACISM’ in my entire life & never will.’

Barr then revealed her 2012 presidential campaign manager Thomas Muhammad is to be allowed to speak for her because, ‘he knows the work I have done in civil rights against racism ALL MY LIFE & understands my tweet was about Iran’s regime, not race’.

She’s trying desperately here, but being liberal and Jewish won’t get her out of this one. Even before political correctness began going full retard during the 1990s, the celebrated sportscaster Howard Cosell had an ambiguous monkey business gaffe too. His damage control speech was orders of magnitude more eloquent than Roseanne Barr’s efforts. Still, his career was toast.

She tried, but failed, to smooth things over with management:

‘I begged Ben Sherwood at ABC 2 let me apologize & make amends. I begged them not to cancel the show. I told them I was willing to do anything & asked 4 help in making things right. I’d worked doing publicity 4 them 4 free for weeks, traveling, thru bronchitis. I begged 4 ppls jobs,’ she tweeted.

‘He said: what were you thinking when you did this? I said: I thought she was white, she looks like my family! He scoffed & said: ‘what u have done is egregious, and unforgivable.’ I begged 4 my crews jobs. Will I ever recover from this pain? omg.’

This weird ethnic pecking order that’s been promoted for decades sometimes inflicts unexpected collateral damage. Things are going in unexpected directions, and in ways that the types who started this never anticipated. It may get worse yet for them. What the hell were they thinking?

Political correctness killed comedy

Roseanne Barr represents some things that ROK generally dislikes. She’s a liberal celebrity—though she’s showing some signs of disenchantment lately, and this latest mess might further her education. Sometimes she’s an obnoxious blowhard. She could stand to cut down on the snacking, but that’s the least of her worries lately. (For the record, I don’t hold her ancestry against her. Much to her credit, she doesn’t behave like Tim Wise.) Despite all this, Roseanne has become a tragic figure, a casualty of political correctness.

Saying something just once can ruin a career overnight. That’s true even for ordinary folks outside the public spotlight. This is the problem. It was her job to be witty and outrageous, but it’s impossible to do that effectively without crossing boundaries sometimes. Talking about ape men is highly taboo, despite leftist efforts to create them.

Roseanne was from a generation of liberal comedians who actually were funny. (I’ve heard some of her early routines; she had her moments.) Lenny Bruce caught heat for too-risqué performances, but after the 1960s, comedians could get away with joking about nearly anything. Lately, political correctness limits their options greatly, and sour snarling about Republicans is one of the few safe mainstays. Perhaps Roseanne forgot that it’s the Current Year. Even if Robin Williams was resurrected and said something like that, the SJWs would try to kill him all over again.

Perhaps the greatest lesson is that when a politically correct dogpiling happens, begging for mercy doesn’t work. The better response is to stay prepared and strike back. If Roseanne starts making fun of SJWs—a very easy target—she’ll gain many new fans.

    1. No shit Sherlock. People who can take a joke are definitely the minority now.

      1. Anyone else notice the initials for Valerie Jarrett and Vagina are both VJ?

    2. What did the deaf and mute Joowish kid with cerebral palsy die of?
Cancer. He breathed in some undiscovered asbestos deposits when his parents took him to visit Auschwitz last summer.

    3. It’s what happens when men aren’t there for their kids cause the state doesn’t allow it. Kids stay weak and sensitive!

  1. I find the comparison of animals and SJW lords to be extremely offensive… to the animals.

  2. If somebody said to me “hey you look like a monkey!” Id be like cool man whatever. It seems to strike a nerve with certain ethnicities and i can’t fathom at all why it causes offence.

    1. @schnuffner
“It seems to strike a nerve with certain ethnicities and i can’t fathom at all why it causes offence.”
      Correct!
I have seen white monkeys, too. Maybe more than any other color.

      1. I was in a grunge band called white monkey. Definitely no correlation to whiteness or monkey

  3. Just watch Roseanne’s interview with Abby Martin.
She still wishes for a more feminist world.
Maybe the best we can wish for is for her to get her wish.

  4. A lot of right wingers and Trump supporters took up to defend Barr after this. Some on our side can virtue signal too, it seems
I didn’t. Not latching my wagon to that star. She’s no conservative.

  5. Lol screw this bitch let the left eat their own. I don’t know why anyone cares about the jewess. She thought because she is of the tribe she could get away with it… “but but muh Auschwitz.. Muh 6 million??? The apes.. ” lmao I’m surprised that one didn’t work and I’m glad at the same time. Let em burnnn

    1. they are aliens. this is a orchestrated show. Roseanne doesnt suffer when a world of gentile slaves serves her every whim.

  6. This will blow over and eventually Roseanne may make a modest comeback in some form or another (but considering her age, any redemption may be posthumous). Her career, while seriously damaged, isn’t destroyed. As an example, look at Mel Gibson’s recovery from being blacklisted for nearly a decade because of his anti-semitic ravings. Finally, given Barr’s net worth of $80M [https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/roseanne-barr-net-worth/], she’s far from being broke and destitute. She’ll be fine.

  7. She thought being Jewish makes her untouchable, unlike Christian White people who can be destroyed even if they only hint at the possibility of entertaining any kind of wrongthink.
Clearly the revolution devours its own children.

  8. Fuck this shit, fuck those monkey-looking twats
Russia has kicked Spain out of the World Cup.
I feel proud for Russian team for the first time ever

  9. No she did not. Political correctness at its best. Seems the left gets away with this kind of nonsense all the time, but there is a double standard.

  10. More publicity of [email protected]’s, Auschwitz ‘stories’ and j.e.w victimhood.
Rosanne is filthy rich and her show was on the out anyway. I’d say it’s coming together nicely for the J.
And now they can say “oy vey, see goyim, we aren’t biased we banned one of our own”
But the whole song and dance was in their favor anyway. Fuk these people.

Rosanne is filthy rich and her show was on the out anyway. I’d say it’s coming together nicely for the J.
And now they can say “oy vey, see g0yim, we aren’t biased we banned one of our own”
But the whole song and dance was in their favor anyway. Fuk these people.

    1. No J cares enough how a Gentile feels to orchestrate something like that.
And none of them care what Rosanne is.

    2. SASQUATCH
Sure, they all met with Barr 1000 feet down in their secret bunker on the Sabbath to concoct a convoluted scheme to get her fired so that the Gentiles would see their objectivity.

      1. Yet here you are Detroit rentboy. Caring 24/7 that the J is being criticized or implicated in bad sh1t.
Another juish pied piper trying to lead the gentile astray.

        1. You’re a Brit anyhow. You are obviously not an American and given your probably status would not have the money to travel to the United States.

      2. That was the whole point of the Frankfurt school and marxism/communism. So the Ju could come out of the shadows and secret bunkers to subjugate and openly attack the g0yim.
When you own the media you can spin whatever you wish and the indoctrinated masses will gobble it up like farm animals in a feeding trough.
What are the main points people are going to take from this Roseanne sh1t
        *[email protected] bad-poor Ju
        *@ushwitz fiction-poor Ju
*Black woman and Obama insulted – racist (((white))) America

  12. Americans are submissive slaves that beg for their chains now.
Everyday the elites build their prisons, increase their arsenals, loot the country, chip away at freedom, expand their wars, increase the debt, and become stronger and wealthier.
Everyday the 99% becomes more weak, stupid, fat, divided, degraded, degenerate, dependent, enslaved, and immoral.
If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.
If you are not part of the resistance then you are the enemy.

  13. I absolutely abhor political correctness as much as the rest of the ROK readership does I’m sure. Having said that, I have absolutely zero sympathy for Roseanne – I do however sympathize for the hundreds of people behind the scenes who lost their jobs because of this. There is plenty of evidence out there to show that anybody right of Jane Fonda who expresses an opinion runs the risk of being swallowed up by a tidal wave of SJW hysteria. Roseanne was just the latest victim, but her comments were so blatantly un-PC that she might as well have posted a sign around her neck that said “please end my career, now!” Unfortunately, this is the way of the world. They can take a dick up their ass, but they can’t take a joke.

  14. Nowadays, the best one can do is to comment on issues anonymously. You never know when someone can feel “offended” and decide to destroy you for it. Purchase a VPN plan and post under an alias. Then you’ll be safely protected from the wrath of the SJWs and manginas of the world whenever you decide to call a macaca by her name.

  15. It is a reflection of the average white American these days that anyone cares about some overweight Yenta who made her name unconvincingly playing a working-class Chicago Irish-Catholic and never succeeded in films made some remark 4 weeks ago.
As for what the J (Or the Asian, or the Latinos, or the blacks) think, they don’t care. They don’t waste their time focusing on such trivial matters.
They are too busy taking out of the country.
Only the white Protestant in the interior could possibly care.
    Why?
Because they have no life. Unlike the J and his money-making Wall Street games or the Asian and his cons or the black and his street life, the white protestant has nothing to do but sit in his glum saltbox house and care about fat Yentas.

  16. The thing that I think cut too close was not that Roseanne was invoking comedy, but that she was just a little too accurate. And yeah Michelle Obama does look like that one character from the Planet of the Apes.

  17. I always thought Jarrett was Persian (as did Rosanne). Turns out she’s a member of the Mulatto Mafia like Obama and much of his staff – and the President of ABC.
You don’t cross the Mulatto Mafia.

  18. Frank Marshall Davis is DEFINITELY Obama’s daddy, no doubt about it. Obama’s mom posed for his smut photos

  19. Hmmmm.Guess that nasty b***h got JUST what was coming to her. (And Tim Wise is 100% RIGHT for labeling Trumpeters as the white supremacists/crypto Fascists they’ve always been. (And by the way,why are 95 % of these Bubbas and Beckys freakin’ UGLY AND STUPID ????? They look like a convention of societal rejects !!!!!!

  20. This kind of stuff needs to stop!!!
Using the N word or using ape references for negros is not racist in and of itself… Its the intention behind the words for 1 thing…
Hulk Hogan or Roseanne Barr for example are extremely sympathetic to Negro problems… Racists wouldn’t be…
This is what we get for taking such groups seriously (since ’69)… They can’t face themselves and so you get this nonsense…. as they try to continue avoiding themselves…
