10 Reasons Why You Should Move To Greece

The tide of globalism and multiculturalism sweeps the civilized world, and Greece is no exception. Often in the news for the wrong reasons (economic problems, leftism, third world invasion), the country nevertheless has many advantages that merit the attention of an upstanding man. He may well consider that a short or longer stay be worthwhile.

1. Very good healthcare

Most people in the country use the public healthcare system, not only because it is completely free for residents (and very low cost for foreigners). The doctors and other staff in public hospitals are generally competent and experienced, as they see tens of cases each day. There are administrative problems, but the core of the system is sound.

2. Very good justice system

Compared to the arcane, legalistic and people – squashing Anglo-Saxon legal mechanism, the justice system of the country is good. Just avoid the lawyers whenever possible, because, although cheap, as a rule they do not know what they are doing. Whenever I went to a court, told the truth, and told it in a simple, understandable way, I was given justice.

3. Civilized population

Except for immigrants and Roma (gypsies), which make up already more than 10% of the population, people are basically peaceful and upstanding. Again notwithstanding the aforementioned two categories, criminality is low. You just have to use some psychological tricks, which you learn quickly, to have your work done. Pretty much everybody speaks English.

4. Nice weather

There is sunshine most of the year, with the exception of the North of the country.

5. Low cost of living

Most people live under dire financial straits, and salaries almost never exceed 20,000 EUR net per year. Private and public sector workers are paid the same, but the latter do generally nothing. Self-employed professionals (doctors, engineers, etc.) earn more, but nowhere close to what their Western counterparts make.

Don’t come here looking for a job, but if you have a (net) passive income of 25,000 EUR, you will find out that you can live like a king (okay, like a prince, but you get it). With the exception of branded items, which as a ROK reader you have no need for, products and services in the country cost roughly 50% less than in the West. (If you go to Mykonos in the high season, you just asked for it.)

6. Low cost, high quality housing

The Royal Decree of 18/02/1954, byour beloved King Pavlos, made sure that virtually all buildings are made of reinforced concrete, with very high safety factors. As a result, houses are extremely resilient, comfortable, spacious, and cheap.

7. The state subsidizes (real) investors

If you have 500,000 EUR or more to invest, you will find out that the state can give you the same amount, to set up a business. For the price of a third-rate apartment in London or New York, you may become a mighty industrialist.

8. Possibility of provider game

Marriage and family in 1914

A red-pilled gamer will face the same difficulties with those in Western nations, namely dwindling pool of attractive females, due to promiscuity induced gravitation towards the ultra rich, obesity, bitchiness, body deformation, etc. However, with the pitiful income of most girls, you can apply a reasonable amount of provider game. ‘Reasonable’ is the keyword here—I don’t want you to turn into a sugar daddy.

9. Affordable dating

I follow Mr. Valizadeh’s game advice to the letter, with one exception—I do dinner dates. A nice dinner for two, often with the accompaniment of live music, doesn’t cost more than 30 EUR. Even the famous Gazarte night club, frequented by artsy, cute girls offers 8 EUR drinks. Now, if you go to bouzoukia, reserve bottle service, and park your BMW in front, you’re asking to be ripped off.

10. Affordable whores

In days when game fails, you can have your needs catered for by honest, not ugly Venus priestesses, for a price between 20 (avoid) and 50 EUR. Your health will not be at risk, as long as you don’t do something silly.

Conclusion

Greece is an interesting place for men with the mindset of ROK readers. Avoid August when the weather is very hot, and opportunities are stifled by the tourist wave, and visit us from September to see for yourselves.

102 thoughts on “10 Reasons Why You Should Move To Greece”

  1. To quote ancient Ebonic knowledge: “99 cent be a lot of money when you ain’t go no 99 cent”.
Point is, Greece is only as good as your bankroll, and most Greeks don’t have much of one. You either need an inheritance, strong passive overseas income via property rentals, or a solid and reliable online gig to make it work.
And if you’ve got at least one of those three, I’d personally pick somewhere else beyond Greece. I’m completely jaded with places like Santorini because it’s the most friggin’ cliche places that so many women have a picture of on their Tinder profiles in the US.

    1. I got 50k a year from apartments I inheritance and another 50k coming in 5 years when the other apartments are paid off.
I think I’ll check Greece out

    2. My brother is in Greece at the moment (Kos), says the only women available are East Euro hookers. The sun, the sea and the wine are good, but apart from that it’s a 3rd world shithole but lacking the women you find in Asia and S. America.

    3. Two reasons why you should NOT move to Greece:
      1. Greece is a bankrupt country!
      2. Life is not all about dates, whores, hookers & sex!
Four reasons why you MUST stay in your Country (United States):
      1. You are a Patriot
      2. You are a MAN who is Brave, Courageous, Confident, Hardworking & Shrewd
      3. You are Diligent, Capable, Competent and can face difficult times
      4. You can team up with like minded MEN and bring back the GLORY
Stay UNITED, for & by the *** UNITED States ***

        1. If you don’t like white MEN’s “asset”, then you do NOT deserve any other MAN’s “asset” !! I will NEVER allow you to “taste” my asset or insert my asset (or finger!) in your kind of arrogant, entitled & ungrateful putrefied pussies !!
          Respect your MEN, bitch!

    4. Nope. I lived there for a while. Had a nice two story apartment with it’s own elevator. Was driving a loaded SUV that cost 40k here new, but 150k dollars there new due to tariffs.
Got three marriage offers from mothers there wanting me to meet their daughters.
Most of the women in Greece will not appreciate cold approaches. Unless you look like a Greek Adonis with a face to match! They are often stuck up and superficial. Also, they are very skinny, typically, with no ass and small tits.
They claim to have as much as six divorces available to them. Three from teh state, three from the church.
And they don’t call it MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING for nothing player! You could spend a hundred grand on a wedding and honeymoon. Not to mention gifts. I honestly think their weddings alone are bankrupting the country.
Will say this. There are plenty of hot women there once you figure out how to talk to them (Get a hot greek chick to introduce you for pre-selection). Then your game will work! Have lots of money. Never marry one!
Then make sure you are someone who is leaving for work, and don’t assume she is faithful. Also, be prepared to spend a lot more money if you get serious. Culminating in a bank account busting matrimonial payout.
Greece has many very attractive women who are worth it. But, you will face some of the stiffest cock blocking you have ever seen from the men. And your pimp hand better be strong (metaphorically speaking don’t get arrested there as she could kill you in your sleep and not get prison time!) by having plenty of other women or you will face the most flaky behavior from hell you have ever seen. And that is just the in the cities. The women there truly use drama to test you. Shit tests non stop.
When you go and find one from the mountains or farm country (they’re gorgeous out there, just wait. It is much, much worse. The women flake on you automatically, and try to submit you from the jump. The men, many in desperation as their parents are pressuring them to marry, will lose their lunch if they see an obvious foreigner hitting on “their women.”
Lastly, for now, Greeks’ national past time is NOT soccer. It certainly isn’t working. It is sitting at cafes or liquor stores gossiping and smoking. While they are clocked in and supposed to be working. Then it is soccer.
If you’re looking for tens, there aren’t that many. I met plenty of Greek models. Their ten is a hard nine by my count. But, get past their pissy exterior, and you will have a pretty loyal women. But they are natural skeptics. They may bang ya, but they won’t date you! So, if you are going to do anything with them, you will have to pay for the mountain girl to go to a different town so she won’t face embarrassment. City girls in Athens or Thessaloniki are much more free.

  2. Greece; the fucking birthplace of Western civilization. I wonder why people don’t go there as much as Spain, Italy or France or other tourist hotspots. They’re all the same in certain ways, great Mediterranean countries, the master race of Europe. But the Arab & African and Turkish invasions may change that. I’m scared.

    1. You do know modern-day Greeks are not the same as the ancient Greeks? I have yet to meet a Greek that wasn’t borderline retarded.

      1. Well, borderline retarted is not that bad, especially when compared to totally retarded.

      2. > “You do know modern-day Greeks are not the same as the ancient Greeks? I have yet to meet a Greek that wasn’t borderline retarded.”

Is it safe to say that the Greeks’ evolution into “borderline” retardedness is due to the original intelligent ancient Greeks getting assimilated by the lesser sophisticated/developed North Africans, Arabs & Turks?
Furthermore, are there any Greeks today that LOOK or THINK like Aristotle, Plato, Socrates et al? If the answer is no, what does that mean?
To me, it means race mixing fucked up ancient Greece civilization. And you know why this is significant? Because that’s what is going on RIGHT NOW in the West with the influx of Rapefugee culture which can not and does NOT want to assimilate into Western values. This is a borderline retarded immigration policy implemented, of course, by NWO globalist shills getting paid in toxic FRNs.

      3. Cuckslayer, the ancient Greeks migrated northward. They likely became the the Slavs and some of the Germanic tribes.

        1. One day I was listening the soundtrack for Alexander (Oliver stone film) on YouTube. Lo and behold, the comment section was rife with revisionist history very much in the vein of “we wuz kangz”; but this time it was a bunch of Ukrainians commenting that Macedonians (northern Hellenics) and Peloponnesus Greeks were *all* Slavs; hence Alexander the Great was a Slav. Hence, “we wuz kangz”
Come on now, you know better.

        2. But why did they migrate? Surely it was to escape something. Surely as they lost their civilization, they became unable to protect the warm wonderful land they had called home.

      4. Son, modern day Greeks are in fact mostly the ancients. The ancients were not as bright as you believe them to be. If you read actual books instead of WN blogs you’d know there was constant war and conflict then too. It was not a utopia.

        1. You tell ’em Randy. Tired of all these armchair geneticists from fukkin Coeur d’ Alene Idaho tellin me who I am. Maybe if all y’all looked up from your computer screens and actually left the house, maybe you can see and judge for yourselves for fucks sake. I get pissed sometimes with this modern, ancient Greek BS talk.
As for the women, heck I currently live in NYC poz central, so going to Greece was like Easy Mode. If a girl likes ya, she’ll look, and smile, and play coy. Like the good ol’ US of A from back in the day. You still gotta show some basic courage and don’t be a autistic dick, you will do fine. Extra points for capable of intelligent banter and normal conversation. I can confirm provider game but I found that only with the older chicks hurtling toward the wall. Also, there is no age difference stigma. That is good news for the remaining older men who come to ROK….

    2. It’s pure geography and about the size of the chief international airport really.
Athens isn’t nearly as prominent as Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Amsterdam, London, etc. as a gateway to Europe for North Americans or Australians, plus Greece is fairly distant from the richer European countries to the northwest.
I’ve been and I can say Greece is a wonderful place to visit, but I wouldn’t live there. There is a big culture of laziness and workplace half-assery and ineptitude there which struck me as very similar to Portugal. These kind of countries will just kill any kind of motivation or work ethic you have.

    3. Yes because arabs, africans and especially turks have had no impact as of yet on Greece.(or other Mediterranean countries)
You fucking retarded pick up a history book from literally anytime in the last thousand years.
Xenophobic and ignorant. Like a horse and cart.

      1. While I know in the past the Moors and Turks had quite an impact and influence on Europe, I’m talking in present tense. These new invaders aren’t the powerful and sophisticated Ottoman Empire, they are the bottom of the barrel. Also, xenophobia is usually natural, like it or not.

        1. And do you think ancient greeks or europeans saw the invaders as powerful or sophisticated ????
The point is the world has always been in a constant change, its nothing new. People are just too fucking stupid too see it.
Take any people on earth and the purity is solely in the present world view. As in its not fucking real. Do you think ancient greeks were dark and swarthy ??????? Look at Spain,(iberians, celts, moors, arabs, roamsn, french, germans)then look at South America with ll that added to inidans and now look at them same south americans in the united states. It’s one big snowball. Always has been.
You said yourself the ottaman empire was powerful and sophisticated as were many arab empires and iranian but yet you cling to your xenophobia. Which is it ??? are you worldly and knowledgeable or ignorant and myopic ?? Being ignorant is never natural.

      2. Arabs, Africans and “Turks” (which are mostly Muslims convert Greeks, Albanians, Romanians, Serbians, Bulgarians and Ukrainians) did not have any influence there, in fact it was the other way around. Venetians had far more influence there than Arabs/Africans.

        1. Stop. Just stop with the fucking nonsense. First of all Turks are a specific people nothing to do with converts.
There was a massive population exchange between both countries following a small war after WW1. But thats not an influence ??
Taking yer capital from ye of a thousand years isnt influence ???
Also I didnt say who had the msot i just who had some. But keep dreaming on them venetians. You’d love to believe that.
Get the fuck out of here.

    4. “Greece; the fucking birthplace of Western civilization”
Give as a f****** brake, will you?
Greece is a shithole. The worst place in the EU.

      1. You have no idea what you’re talking about dumbass. I’ve visited Greece , it’s a paradise. There are no shitholes in Europe. Even Albania is a developed country compared to true shitholes like Haiti , Afganistan and co.

        1. Dumbass, if you think Greece is a “paradise” (lol) one might wonder what sort of shithole did you come from?
Why did you bring Haiti and Afghanistan into this?
Haiti? It is close to the US and Haitian girls are the most beautiful int he Caribbean
Afghanistan? It is indeed a traditional and conservative society. No divorce rape there.
Greece has all the poverty and the social problems of those two countries, yet it is more expensive than Western Europe. Not to mention that Greek women are probably the ugliest ones in the world.
          Greece has no redeeming qualities.
          Go back to school, sonny.

        2. Peter is right, my brother is living in Kos at the moment, says he can’t wait to come back to SEA. The local Greek woman are hairy and impossible to bed. Guess it might be OK if you’re a young guy banging other tourists and Roumanian hookers.

        3. @John you might be right about the greek women , sir. When I said paradise I was mostly referring to the beauty of the country , the beaches , the weather , the amazing and cheap food they serve there etc.

        4. @Peter haiti has the most beautiful women in the world ?
Greece has the poverty of Haiti and Afghanistan ?
          You are retarded son.

        5. You are right Guts, these commenters just troll, base and repeat stuff from WN blogs, they’ve never been anywhere and never will.

        6. So both you and your brother are genetic rejects who’s wives went with other guys, and now you’re overseas failing with women?
Beta genetics lol. Must have been something in the water

        7. Guts,
Everyone’s wife goes with other guys AWALT.
The only guys that aren’t cucks, are those who don’t ever have LTRs.
(You’re probably an Incel virgin, living in moms basement, and wanking to porn)

    5. sorry, still not interested : Greece is poor and not centered in EU. and you can have everything you mentioned in central EU (Germany, Austria, Poland, etc..)

  3. As a western male, going to places where everyone else is living on a very small wage is the saving grace.
I plan to save a 300-400k by the time I’m 40, and then live like a king for the next 3 decades.

        1. I inherited the properties that pay the passive income.
Don’t want to feel like a sap.
Might as well work for the next 10 years and make a significant savings pool.
Although who knows, if things get keep getting bad in the Anglosphere over next 5 years, I might leave sooner

        2. Well yeah being idle is very damaging but u could do something nice, u could do gym or whatever u like to do but hey if the work u do pleases u then I guess everything is okay, just don’t waste urself with some grinding office work.

        3. Yes I aim to really get my game good in my 30s (the next 10 or so years). But the problem is it is so bad to game in the Anglosphere

    1. If you inherited the properties then you didn’t do anything worth self-congratulation for your fortunate scenario you chode. You just got them from a combination of being born into the lucky sperm club and having prematurely deceased parents (I’ll call anyone under 40 with no living parents as a premature orphan).

      1. I never congratulated myself.
        I am very lucky.
It’s like being born 6’3 and or with a 9 inch hog.
Not earned, but why feel bad about it?
        And my parents aren’t dead.
They gave it to me already because they already have millions from their job (surgeons), and other properties worth a few million

        1. It’s impressive both of your parents are surgeons. What have you exactly accomplished?

        2. In all seriosuness I have ambitions to be a novelist. I have submitted fiction and non fiction pieces to some acclaim.
I have been working hard at it lately and plan on working very hard in the next 20-30 years.
I also have done 3 property developments in the past years, doing well in at least 2, and am a leasing agent part time.
I dropped out of law school after completing half the degree. I sort of regret not getting it just for the sense of accomplishment, but I would have never worked in the corporate world.
Where I live (Australia) there is no college or undergrad- I went into law school straight after high school

    2. Alpha Mullah: although many will call you a traitor and pussy for running away from the problems in your home country, I have to agree with your sentiment.
Bag money where there is good money to be made, then live in a semi-retired state somewhere that your money (presumably USD or Euros) is worth far more. You will indeed live like a prince and the local female population will regard you much differently due to your automatic “provider game.” The key is choosing a city that suits your basic requirements, be that decent climate, political stability, modern infrastructure (reliable fast internet), cheap organic food, attractive women, etc.
I live in a nice SA city where the average working man without university education makes no more than $500 USD per month — so having a decent “nest egg” plus some online revenue to offset your costs of living will automatically put you in the top 2% of earners. You will live a very comfortable life, enjoy the gender dynamics for a change, and not be so focused on the deteriorating social issues in your home cuntry. Having said that, anywhere in Greece wouldn’t even crack my top 50 places where I’d want to live such a life.
I think a 2-3 week holiday is all Greece is worth these days, especially compared to all the fantastic options in South America and SE Asia — and it’s not even close when you factor in the better quality women (with far less hair where it shouldn’t be!!). BUT, if for some reason being on the Mediterranean is super important to you — along with the fantastic cuisine in that region — then I think the west coast of Turkey is the better choice. A little more economic stability there, people are not quite as desperate, the society is a little more cohesive and the climate / food / archeological sites are excellent. Just my 2 cents.

      1. @Allister I very much agree.
I envy you living in SA. You must have your pick of the beautiful women there.
I can’t wait to be living like that in 5 or 10 years. It is something to work towards
Western men need to go to places where they are appreciated

  4. Ah yesss, Greece, an entire society that lives on extorting the EU fags for free monyz… not bad, not bad… but I have to point out that Greeks are extremely ugly, possibly the ugliest people I know, that’s the downside.

    1. One of the most beautiful women i’ve problably ever seen is Greek. I would’ve wived her up, unfortunaly a wealthy Arab businessman beat me to it (by the way: she converted to Islam).

      1. I wouldn’t call that exactly beautiful, when compared with other greeks maybe yes but when compared with other caucasian beauty levels she is quite average. My university was full of greek students, they were quite hideous with strange heads and big ridiculous noses, in fact they resemble (((them))) in terms of anthropological features.

  5. Are they any Joos in Greece? Isn’t there a country in the world where there isn’t one single Joo?

      1. You’re probably right and that’s why the Joos in (((America))) have a hissy fit that no scheming, low life rat faced k.i.k.e. can swindle North Korea.

        1. There’s no wealth in North Korea, at least no wealth outside of that held by the Kim family. So why would the “Joos” have any interest in the place? No point fishing on dry land.

  6. I’ve been to Greece, many years ago. The employees with the governments tourist industry went on strike. All the great ancient monuments and museums were shut down. I spent 2 days wandering around Athens and its environs.
I guess that’s what happens when the government goes on strike. I felt like the country kind of shut down.
Maybe we should put the Greeks into slavery, just like the Spartans put the people of Messenia into slavery. Just a thought.

  7. This article is pure rubbish. Greece is a broke state that depends on the EU for handout. And populated w/ homosexuals & momma’s boys.

    1. In this case, there should be very little competition for the local cuties; why don’t you come and see for yourself?

      1. There are no local cuties, the ones you can bang are Tourists or Roumanian prostitutes.

        1. Dodds
seems you project your low smv and inability to get anything that isn’t the lowest turds, onto every one and every place
Stop polluting every article with your pessimism, old man

        2. I previously posted a photo containing 2 ladies I had LTRs with in the last 10 years (and I’m 60). Let’s have a look at two of yours then (LTR = living with 6 months+)

        3. I didn’t see the photos, but 2 yellow women I assume?
Where you are right now, a western man with 5 chins and a micropenis can get a decent looking woman, with beta provider game.
In other countries, you have to have some alpha fux game, which you don’t seem to, given your wife got banged out by a brudda lol

        4. Mario,
“I didn’t see the photos, but 2 yellow women I assume?”
I’ve never thought of my local ladies as ‘yellow’. They look more like this (photo from one of my local bars ‘Milk Club’ Chiang Mai)

  8. The author os either a troll or an idiot
10 reasons not to move to Greece:
    1. It is the most unstable part of Europe the Balkans. (Well, it;s up to debate whether the Balkans is actually part of Europe or not)
The Greek government has diplomatic disputes with virtually all the neighboring countries.
Add to the problem the recent influx of (male) migrants from Africa (many of them get stuck in Greece for longer periods before being allowed to travel to Western Europe) and you have just described a proper shithole.
    2. Greece is the worse economy in the whole of Europe bar Moldova.
It collapsed in 2008 and has never recovered. Why do you think most Greeks under 35 have left the country for Western Europe?
    3. The climate is crap. During the summer it get unbearably hot often nearly 50C. During the winter it plummets to 5C so you will need to pay for heating. )Oil rradiators). Did I mention there is virtually no autumn (fall)and spring?
    4. Probably the worse people in the Mediterranean.
Put together the nationalistic tendencies of the Serbs and the Croats, the impulsive nature of southern Italians and the lazyness/unreliability of Spaniard/Portuguese. That’s the Greek for you.
    5. Greek women are among the ugliest in Europe.
Short, fat, hairy, ugly face and with the attitude of the attitude of your average Anglo women. Sounds like a keeper? She is not.
    6. Greece is the birthplace of homosexuality.
If you think that was only a problem during the ancient Greece, think of George Michael. (His parents were Greek Cypriots)
    7. Despite being a shithole, the cost of living is quiet high. Believe it or not food (groceries) cost less in the UK or Germany than in Greece, despite the average wage is much lower in Greece than in those two countries.
    8. The quality of life is generally very poor. Greece may be the member of the EU but the quality of life is closer to any other (non-EU) country of the Balkans than to that of Western Europe. If you are an expat, all the locals would try to rip you off whenever they can.
    9. People “traditional and conservative” ? Give us a fucking break. It’s s collapsed society, and you bet in a survival situation, just like any other women, Greek girls will do anything to earn enough money to survive. “Provider game” would win you say? Not necessarily. Greek girls sleep around just as much as Anglo whores. In Athens, you will see broke African/Middle Eastern migrant with Greek girls in their arms. Do you still want to meet Greek girls?
    10. Reason number 10?Well, for f*** sake – it’s Greece – who in his right mind would travel there?

    1. Overall accurate summary but one factual error. Greece is not the most shithole in the balkans, actually is one of the most well off here. The title of most shithole balkan country goes to either albania, macedonia, serbia or bulgaria where I live. Also u can’t even compare greece with moldova, greece is like an oil sheikh country compared to moldova because moldova is the absolute shittiest shithole of europe, the post soviet shithole type which I believe doesn’t even deserve to be classified as europe, the post soviet shithole is more like a literal 3rd world asian shithole, the literal hell on earth.

      1. Moldova is controlled by Russia. This country is NOT allowed to develop. That’s why most Moldovans already fled to Western nations.

  9. This article is full of inaccuracies:
1- When it comes to healthcare any Greek will tell you that if you want to ensure that you get treated well in a public hospital is to bribe the doctor….
2 – Justice? What justice? The establishment is corrupt to the core.
The weather is nice and the cost of living is lower than western Europe, but then again most places around the world are more affordable than the west so that doesn’t mean much. The corrupt government is full of traitors who are hell bent on destroying the country both economically and by allowing hundreds of thousands of third worlders to invade the country.

    1. > The corrupt government is full of traitors who are hell bent on destroying the country both economically and by allowing hundreds of thousands of third worlders to invade the country.
      =======
Again, we clearly SEE what is the most DAMAGING thing to most sovereign nations: Corrupt politicians who blindly do the bidding of the 1% globalists elites in defiance of their electorate. Same thing has been happening with pretty much every “Western democracy”. Jut look at the US, UK, France, Sweden, Germany, Canada, etc. These societies are DEGENERATING. Embedded traitors running your government are like a cancer. If you don’t eradicate the cancer, the host also dies.
Unfortunately, many web visitors on popular alt-media sites get so distracted on race, gender, religion when the better questions to ask are:
      1. Which of our elected leaders have been compromised by 1% BigMoney? Why are they letting invaders into our country, who clearly do NOT assimilate, from MANUFACTURED wars which their paymasters (in Brussels, London & DC) orchestrate? How do we as CITIZENS resolve this most serious issue TODAY or NEXT MONTH? What are the key steps that must be taken RIGHT NOW?
      2. Our Central Banks…who controls them? Are these “federal” banks truly looking out for the best interests of We The People and our Economy? If not, what needs to be done TODAY in order retake control? What are the names of our local politicians who are responsible for shielding these banksters? Where do they LIVE?
      3. Our mass media composition. Who CONTROLS our publicly licensed airwaves? Which of our elected officials are RESPONSIBLE for enforcing broadcasting standards that benefit our society? Which officials authorized the formation of these destructive mass media empires? Where are their offices located so that We The People can instruct law enforcement to arrest them for dereliction of duty?
What actions needs to be done TODAY or NEXT MONTH in order to eliminate BigMedia’s destructive grip on our society?
      Nough said.

      1. @Black, That’s really Good and Straightforward analysis. Its time for Common People to get the facts & react accordingly; before its too late.

      2. Greeks are corrupt to the core even without outside help. They lie, cheat and steal on a daily basis. They tolerate corruption and eagerly participate in it, as long as they get the cash. For example, if a pensioner dies, his heirs don’t report it to the government so that they can keep collecting the dead guy’s pension. I’ve heard of islands with empty schools because there are no more children, but the government keeps paying the last teacher anyway. If you own a house, you don’t have to pay taxes on it for as long as it’s “unfinished.” It’s common to see concrete rebar sticking out of people’s roofs so that the house qualifies as unfinished. They never plan to finish it, of course, to avoid property tax. They send money of the country because they don’t trust their banks (probably for a good reason). If you get a cab, the driver will take you to a completely wrong part of tow and not care, he just doesn’t give a damn. I was in Greece twice and I won’t return, because the people there have no honor and self-respect. They lie and end up lying to themselves, they cheat and end up cheating themselves of their future. Greeks doomed their own but they still expect other EU countries to bail them out.

  10. Also DON’T SET UP A BUSINESS THERE, the country is ruined and the government will tax you until you go broke…

  11. When I was in Greece I was disappointed to see what had become of the once mighty warriors and philosophers. They didn’t seem to value their history and tradition much any more, they just wanted an easy living. Nobody pays taxes, especially property taxes, so the state coffers are always empty. There are entire islands with no source of drinking water. With the climate change, Greece will probably turn into a desert. If you want to move somewhere, go north where it won’t be so hot and dry. When half of the world gets moving in search of a higher ground, Greece will be overrun.

    1. Modern greeks have nothing to do with ancient ones, modern greeks are completely orientalized cuz of the ottoman slavery and essentially all greeks have the lazy, fat, idle and feudal mentality typical for the backward medieval oriento-asian culture.

  12. I know the country well and all of the above is true. Outside of Athens, it is pretty much as described above.

  13. As a Greek I will tell you this about the healthcare system: bring bribe money if you want to see a doctor.
    I am not kidding.

  14. Ive met some beautiful homely women with Greek heritage. An interesting culture that celebrates food, family and god.
The Mediterranean has been hotly contested real estate for millennia.
The ottoman barbarians ravaged Europe and particularly Greece. No Greek inquisition to save them. A lot of the ‘sophistication’ some comments claim is more of the fact the ottomans absorbed the nations intelligencia and cultures they conquered.
The Ju festive celebration [email protected] glorifies their triumphant deception and slaughter of Greeks. Like Romans, Greeks were very much despised and envied by the (((tribe)))
Doesn’t surprise me to see this comment board degenerate into a frenzy of troll comments.

  15. Western counterparts? You know that Greece is called ‘the cradle of Western civilization’, right?

    1. Greece was created by a German prince from Bavaria – Otto of Greece
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_of_Greece
When he first came to Athens he was shocked to find that all ancient Hellenic people have disappeared, all those who were still living there were Albanian shepherds. He converted them into Greeks.
So modern Greece has absolutely nothing to do with the ancient Hellenic people apart from occupying the same land.

      1. Poor guy, apparently didn’t read about the fall of rome and byzantium and their demographic collapses.

  16. Hahahahaha this guy does not live in Greece, for sure. The country is under capital control due to the measurements imposed by the EU to pay the external debt, every single buck you bring to the country…well, good luck trying to get it out from Greece again.

  17. Failed state, thus a very difficult living for most locals. Massive corruption in every area of life. Never seen any other people lusting for other people’s money as much as the Greeks do. When it comes to money, there are no lines they won’t cross – I was married to a Greek woman in the US, there were constant squabbles over money with all relatives – her own brother stole from the family. One of the relatives died and left substantial amounts behind (did not have any kids) – that destroyed all what was left of any family relations – some cousins went to raid safety deposit boxes (bribed an employee inside the bank), some produced fake wills, triggering endless litigations – the process is still in courts 8 years later. Amount of crap produced against relatives and “strangers” of impure blood by Greeks shocked and puzzled me from back then to this day…
I would only go to Greece as a tourist, why would Greeks be leaving by the thousands if it was so great to live there…

  18. There is no free health care for Greeks anymore
You have to be paying into the system…no pay no coverage
This came to be after the crisis of course
I think GR offers great value for money these days if you stay in tier-2 cities
Great produce in the farmer’s markets and imo the best food in the world along with Italy.
I would choose to live in Crete if I were to retire there or the southern Peloponese
You can find (unfurnished) studio flats everywhere for no more than 200 euros incl. in Athens

  19. I’m surprised no one mentioned the massive tax evasion and cash economy the Greeks practice?
The lack of social trust and amount of corruption from main street and beyond is incredibly rampant.

  20. As a 1st generation Greek American, I can tell you this:
    * Go during June, July, and August and bang northern european tourists.
    * Lots of eastern european sex workers all year long
    * Greece is an eastern european country with many of the ills of the west
    * When Greece still had its own currency (the drachma), you could spend $20 in one night and seriously live like a king – go to a night club, pay for taxis, foods, drinks. Now prices are much higher.
    * I would say that Greeks are the most old-fashioned/conservative people considered “Western European”, because Greece is really an Eastern European country.
    * Socialism has destroyed a lot of the countries industry (companies shutting down due to taxes and bureaucracy)
    * Stay away from government workers, they are indeed the laziest people in the world.
As for the economy… well, if lower manhattan had beautiful beaches with hot tourists coming every 2 weeks and staying for only 2 weeks during the period between March and October, would we even have Wall Street? (You would go on a lunch break and never return…)
And secondly, which life would you choose? Working 10 hour days for a wall street firm or working as a bartender at a hotel bar during the summer and doing basically nothing during the winter due to socialist policies… Of course, the Greeks want to come to America, live in a basement apartment in Astoria queens just so they could work as a waiter at a cafe making 200$ per shift, while they could just have stayed in Greece and continued to bang tourists and go to the beach everyday….
Just a thought, but it is hard to change your life, leave everything behind, move to another country.
As for are Greeks the “same” as the ancients? Well, of course not. But the local Greeks have a lot of respect for the ancient greeks and study a lot of their writings and sayings. I have met many Greeks that know a lot about ancient philosphy, mythology, plays…etc I respect them for that a lot. Another thing one has to realize is that being “pure” is not a good thing. Pure races and people are close minded because they have never been exposed to other people’s dna and ideas. Many greek islands have been conquered over and over again by the strongest invaders, and those invaders brought many masculine traits with them, including excellent DNA. You will find the most attractive women on islands throughout all of the mediterranean.
Unfortunately, Greece is contracting the disease of the west. Every time I go there I witness more and more feminism…etc However for each feminist in Greece you will find 3 non-feminists. In that respect Greece is similar to many eastern european countries.
As for ROK readers, go visit Greece, do some island hopping, and make sure you visit some attractions. Tourism is the biggest industry for greeks and they treats tourists well. If you try to speak some Greek, they will really appreciate it as well.
Additionally, Turkey is a very cheap alternative to Greece, just stay near the coast and your dollars will go very far. you can also go to islands in the Aegean sea and hop between Turkey and Greece.

    1. You need to fix your own country. Deal with the corruption and tax evasion. It’s a problem both on the state and individual level. Your people don’t want to pay taxes, but they expect government services and pensions. Greed has eclipsed your moral values. For example, when I was there 15 years ago, Greek captains were sinking tourist ships just to collect insurance. People died, but the captains didn’t care. As for island hopping, yeah, I did that. I was on islands that had no water, you couldn’t even use the bathrooms. As soon as tourists disembarked, the Greek vendors found out what nationality the tourists were. They were terribly disappointed if the tourists were from a poor country, because it meant little profit. When I was in a bar run by a woman (whose husband was upstairs watching soccer on TV), I paid for the drink and gave her a tip. She shook the money in her fist, made a sour face, and said I paid the wrong amount for the drink. She wanted more money. I thought she was brazenly dishonest. Like I said above, the Greek moral code is in the toilet. Your country will never recover until the people stop lying and cheating.

  21. The author reminds me of the gringos who move to Mexico thinking they have landed in paradise while almost all Mexicans would rather live in the US.
    1. The Greeks display little pride in their culture
    2. Young women are nothing special and they age poorly.
    3. Most of Athens is bland or butt ugly.
    4. Apartments may be cheap but restaurants and groceries are not cheap, especially on the islands.
    5. Medical is no longer free.
    6. The government is a complete mess. One of the weird things Greeks told me was that individuals and businesses have to pay their taxes at the beginning of the year, not after the year is over do that the government can meet its IMF obligations. As best as I could tell that meant a lot if people just lived off the file (also wages are bad anyway). I didn’t verify that but heard it repeatedly.
    7. You can live in Bangkok or Budapest for the same amount as Greece and get a much higher quality of life especially Bangkok with the women.

  22. Justice system sucks. Takes years before your case goes in the court. If it is the first time, 99.999% the other side will get a postponement so you will have to wait another good amount of years… I have a law suit awaiting since 2011. It still hasn’t been heard. First hearing, after postponement 2021!!!!
Healthcare? It is ok-ish as long as you know doctors, as long as you are young-is. But health infrastructure is coming down crashing due to illegal immigration and doctors leaving the country in droves. Housing is not cheap, unless you want to live in an apartment that overlooks an other dirty and old apartment block and don’t mind listening to your next door neighbours farts, or leaving in an Afghani or Pakistani building in central Athens (although I must say you can find some bargains there, for futures generations to cash on). Plus you will have to pay a shit load of taxes on property.
Crime is on the rise big time due to the droves of uncontrolled third wold immigrants and the law of the land which due to prison congestion leaves criminals out after they have served 1/3 of their time. There have been a lot of murders by such criminals.
The state does not subsidise you to become an industrialist. There is a lot of bureaucracy to overcome and a lot of bribes needed to get around and it can take a couple of years for the subsidy funds to be released.
