Anyway, we kept many of our cultural (=more traditional) habbits in the family and adopted some of the German ones (which we liked).
On paper I’m quite “integrated” here in Germany and got all the brainwashing in school – altough history was a bit difficult, as I saw it as “their” history, which didn’t apply to me.
But their cultural brainwashing is really effective. It really installs some sort of a button, and most Germans really fear when they are called a racist or even worse (neo) Nazi xD
