Muslims account for over twenty percent of the population of the world and more than that fraction of prime-aged girls. For religious and cultural reasons these girls tend to be quite inaccessible to outsiders and often have their romantic and sexual choices restricted or simply made on their behalf.
A high proportion of Muslim girls, families, and communities take religious and cultural practices and rules seriously. This article attempts to offer some guidance on what a man should expect on this journey.
All points are generalizations only, based on the personal experiences of the author, who is not a Muslim. As with any other religious group there is a high level of variation between individuals within that group. These points should only be seen as tendencies to look out for and warnings of what to be prepared for, not as certainties.
1. Subtle cues
Associating with non-Muslim men or being seen to encourage the prospect is a much riskier proposition for a Muslim girl. Consequently, Muslim girls will give more subdued signals and will wait for greater certainty before clearly demonstrating interest. If a girl with a headscarf shows the slightest sign of interest then she is very interested. If she allows herself to be isolated or consents to any kind of public display then sex is a virtual certainty. Remember that to her what others see and think is everything so privacy, secrecy and subtlety are gold.
2. Distinct sex roles
Sex roles are distinct both in the sense of being clearly different and being defined in a distinctive way. For example, if she has a vehicle and the man doesn’t she will often expect him to drive, even on a first meeting or date. Another common theme is to get a direct question such as “If I wanted to leave would you let me?” This question is a strange kind of shit test. 4. Attempts to manage perceptions
Muslim girls will feel shame at the thought of others knowing about her forbidden love, but not personal guilt. Consequently her focus will not be on reluctance to do but on reluctance to be seen to do. She will probably attempt to hide any contacts from her family and peers. If she is not a virgin she will likely claim to have only one previous partner who raped or coerced her.

Her family will hope to resolve the situation in one of two ways—by either getting rid of the man or forcing marriage with conversion. This is one of the topics which can be expected to trigger physical threats. Those threats will become more direct, immediate, and forceful as the perceived level of seriousness of the relationship increases.
Conversion means agreeing to a set of odious religious rules covering every aspect of life down to the smallest detail. Obviously it is not something that can be sincerely agreed to or insincerely agreed to while remaining a man of strength, character, and value.
6. A trouble-free sex life
Islamic religious rules mandate that a girl give her husband sex at any time or in any manner he chooses. Muslim girls typically live up to this one in any sexual relationship.

7. Religious rules that intrude on normal life
Expect as much pressure to comply with religious rules for living as she feels she can get away with. This pressure will take the form of outright appeals to religion, but also of seemingly unrelated lobbying and rationalizations. My strategy is to evade these conflicts until the relationship becomes sexual, then cheerfully violate every rule as much as possible.
Even the least religious Muslim girls will shun pork and probably alcohol. Any influence she might have will be used to avoid them and not just for her. For eating out she will go to great lengths to choose the most compliant eating establishment. That means having the most Arabic script, space for prayers etc., failing that serving only halal food, failing that not serving pork.
In theory every Muslim prays five times a day. Compliance will probably be patchy though. The process involves washing in a mandated style, then putting on a prayer costume, then doing the prayer itself on a prayer mat. Annoyingly the first prayer is at five in the morning. By default no consideration, such as going into another room, will be shown so expect to be woken up.
During the month of Ramadan many girls will fast during daylight hours. Muslims will usually try to claim that others can’t eat because it is somehow rude and unfair on those who are fasting. This month features more compliance with prayer schedules and her cooking breakfast before dawn too. In theory it also means no sex during daylight hours, but in practice girls will if it comes up.
8. Lack of interest in contraceptives and abortion
In Western communities contraception and to a lesser extent abortion are routine parts of life. Not so in this case. Do not expect her to be using contraceptives or to push for their use. In the event of pregnancy she is unlikely to want an abortion and her family will definitely not agree to an abortion.
If Western women are not satisfying your needs or meeting your standards, it may be worth giving a Muslim woman a chance. Muslim women often are able to provide what Western women lack.

I don’t think that people want to take the right of belief away from Muslims, but are analysing Muhammad’s life and understanding that since he was involved in killing, it’s no surprise that there’s a lot of violence among Muslims today. I also think the majority of Westerners know that it’s still only a portion of Muslims that are violent because the rest follow rules like you, and have family values, etc. But at the same time, they’re not comfortable with their arrival in Europe. If westerners were flooding to your country, the people there would have the same reaction, especially if new cases of violence arrived with them. No problem, yes I hope everyone can understand and arrive at a good solution to this clash of cultures. Maybe it’ll all work out well.

I have lived in Australia for 10 years now and have seen a steady increase of non-Muslim men dating and marrying Muslim women. The number is still small, but growing. I think the source of the misconceptions are the violent attacks such as the one in France this week. Some French cartoonists thought the best way to enter the cultural debate was to draw some silly cartoons insulting Islam. They paid for their juvenile acts with their lives. I think there should be an intellectual debate as to the role of Israel and the United States in causing instability in the Middle East.
Americans in particular need to be made aware of the blatant hypocrisy of American Zionists who support the Israeli state but allow the occupation and segregation of the Palestinian state. These same Zionists are opposed to abortion in Israel but actively campaign for it in the US. They support open borders in the US but restrictive Immigration in Israel. They want democracy throughout the world but would be opposed to integration of Palestine with Israel because Jews would no longer have a Jewish state.
Jews spend a great deal of time mocking Christianity on television and in movies it bothers me, but all I can do is point out who is behind it. Why didn’t the cartoonists draw a bunch of cartoons mocking Jews? At least they would have been consistent. Why didn’t the cartoonists draw pictures that weighed into the Immigration debate, recognizing the folly of France’s open borders this could easily include Muslims without insulting them. These cartoonists should have left the real debating to the adults and they would still be alive.

Knew a few Muslim girls in college. One of them was drop-dead gorgeous. She covered herself too much to see much of her body shape, but what was visible was at least an 8+. This article seems to suggest that there is a growing trend of Western females converting. The reasons for it are given, and I personally can agree with them. I looked at Islam some point, always having actually thought the veil not a bad idea. As a very traditional thinking female (don’t ask me why, no one around me was when I grew up, seems I was just born with it), the idea of the female in Islam did tempt me. Not the bad press abuse and oppression type of Islam, but the other Islam (however I am agnostic and thus it’s not an option for me).

I’m dating a Muslim girl and you are spot on here. She told me last week about how a Muslim man can marry a Christian (her two brother have done exactly that) but a Muslim woman cannot. I admonished him that it was a mistake to even enter into a relationship but that ‘request’ was absolutely beyond the pale and I told him categorically to break it off because this was unconscionable.
Mercifully things ended and I must say I was rather pleased as my friend could have made a grave error-admittedly it was hard for me to say anything initially as he was my friend and it was hilarious how other friends would try to goad me in good humour to say what I thought of that entire warped ideology among other things. That said, I would never in a quadrillion years even touch one in any way much less go to that extent-they can all go and piss up a rope.

I found this interesting – I have fallen for a Muslim woman but alas it is one way. I am not religious – I guess I was born Christian but I would not say I’m practising. For me religon is not of great importance and so I would not convert as it would not be sincere.
