Why The Elite Love Raising Taxes

“The way to crush the bourgeoisie [middle class] is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.” – Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

Most people forget one of the reasons for the original thirteen colonies revolt against Britain and the king was because of high taxation and taxation without representation. Progressives and SJWs typically view taxation as a tool to help those in progressive “protected classes” which they call “the poor”. We hear the narrative “the rich don’t pay their fair share.” If the rich do not pay their fair share why are so many wealthy people for socialism? Why are some for higher taxes? Who are “the rich” progressives are referring to and why do wealthy progressives always advocate government involvement to address poverty, i.e. socialism.

Paying of taxes are an integral part of life. All of us use services provided by the government. Taxation is necessary for the functioning of any nation. High taxation can be used as a means to hinder, suppress and even discourage certain types of economic activity or economic activity in general. The power to tax contains the power to take 100 percent of the earnings from any economic or productive activity. Eventually economic activity will cease if 100 percent or the majority of the fruits of labor are taken and drained away through taxation. Any and all economic activity can be destroyed by taxation.

If any human undertaking can be wiped out by taxation, it follows that taxation may “defeat and render useless the power to create.” There would be no purpose in beginning undertakings if they were certain to be destroyed by taxation. The chances are good that man’s ingenuity would not be completely stifled by such government action, but it would surely be rendered largely useless. – Clarence Carson

plutocrats, google, twitter, facebook

Contrary to what we have been told, the elite like high taxes. Why would a wealthy person like high taxes? Because high taxes open the door to a complex tax code and cronyism. The more complex the tax code the easier it is to hide who is really paying and how much is being paid. Complication is a way of hiding true tax rates.

Understand that the elite rich separate themselves from the rest of “the rich”. They look out for themselves and advocate taxing others. The elite’s wealth is in various tax shelters, tax structures, or taxed differently (capital gains tax is one example) and have significantly lower tax rate percentages, if any taxes at all. These shelters are created in the tax code through cronyism. Taxation is a way for the elite to wage war on other people that do not go along with their progressive plans, world agenda, or are not part of their secret groups.

Socialism is presented as a “share the wealth” scheme to the masses. The wealth to be shared is YOUR wealth, YOUR money, YOUR resources, not the wealth and resources of the elite. This type of “equality” places the masses on the same rung of the social and economic ladder, the bottom, while an elite group of individuals directs and rules the masses. Thus, the environment is created as shown in George Orwell’s book Animal Farm where some of the proletariat (the common people) are more equal than others.

High taxation does not create a “Golden Age”

Progressives are looking to create a “golden age” economically, socially, etc. a socialist utopia through taxation. This golden age myth, this Blisstonia—akin to the fictitious world from The Simpsons episode, The Joy of the Sect, is among the delusions pushed by wealthy progressives. Progressives point to the “golden age” of the 1950s to show how “good” things were for everyone. Many people believe that the 1950s was a “golden age”. This is a myth. This myth is perpetuated because it feeds the false progressive narrative of high taxation equals high prosperity for everyone.

The United States experienced four recessions from 1948 to 1961. During the 1950s, the highest tax bracket was above 90 percent, typically 91 or 92 percent. The only time the rate was higher was during the last two years of World War II; the tax rate was 94 percent. Historian Brian Domitrovic has brief video to discussing the high tax rates of the 1950s.

People such as Nancy Pelosi, Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey, Seth MacFarlane, Michael Moore, Jeff Bezos, George Soros, Bill Gates, and Jamie Dimon are not okay with paying an income tax rate over 90 percent. Instead, these people want their constituents, fans, and followers to believe they are okay with paying high taxes; taxes percentages they do not really pay.

California has the highest poverty rate in the United States. Higher taxation and excessive regulation has not created create a new golden age in California. California’s high taxes are hurting the state and the people of California. The state attracts those that want to be on the government dole. California’s financial troubles are not by chance and is the outgrowth of identity politics and an elite attitude amongst California’s politicians at all levels of government.

Harvard professors, as an example, were ardent supporters of the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. These same professors complained about the rising costs of their own individual health care because of the law. Progressives are fine with taxing as long as they are not the ones paying the taxes. A lot of progressives complained about the cap on the SALT deduction. Many progressives, for example in California and New York, liked the federal SALT deduction because it was a way of passing off California and New York state expenses onto the rest of the nation.

fascists, antifascists,

The Socialists/Progressives Are Coming for You

Telling other people they need to be more generous and then using taxation to confiscate money and property is covetous behavior. While those that have more abundantly should be generous, that generosity does not mean they should be unwise and foolish. I have encountered many people that are capable of working but refuse and expect handouts, government and otherwise. Hoarding wealth or using the arm of government to “redistribute” wealth is covetousness.

Progressives will quote surveys of the wealthy advocating for higher taxes, a higher minimum wage, and other government actions to combat poverty, but the progressives quoting such things are ignorant of who is actually paying the taxes. Beware of anyone that does not want to pay any taxes and those that call for high taxes for “the rich”. Politicians treat “high taxes” as a relative term and consider anyone making over $200,000 a year as “rich”. The taxes would be levied against people that earn a majority of their income by working for someone else or have small businesses such as sole-proprietorships or LLCs.

karl marx, socialism, capitol one, wealth redistribution,

Progressives will not be happy until “everyone” is on the same level socially and economically. I place everyone in quotes because most are too ignorant to realize that the George Soroses, Nancy Pelosis, and Oprah Winfreys of the world while advocating for “equality” will live in closed off estates from the rest of us. Just like the pigs lived in the farm house after ousting the farmer in George Orwell’s Animal Farm.

The elite advocate for government involvement and high taxation because more of your money will end up in their pockets through subsidies and other government programs designed to help “the poor”. Taxes will eventually have to be increased to keep the government functioning because more and more government revenue is in the pockets of the elite and their cronies.

Billionaire Jeff Bezos hates paying taxes but is okay with paying workers low wages so they require welfare to survive; of course, other people other than Jeff Bezos are paying the taxes for government welfare his employees receive. Bill Gates says rich people need to pay more in taxes. No one prevents the Bill Gates, Oprah Winfreys, Nancy Pelosis, Jeff Bezoses, and George Soroses of the world from paying their employees higher wages and taking less for themselves without government involvement. The mere fact these people advocate for more government involvement should immediately raise some serious questions.

The high taxation is part of the march toward socialism. Progressives want to use the government to loot you and tell you it is for your own good or the good of others. For the elite, high taxes is less about money and more about control of your every act, word, and thought, i.e. socialism. Socialism and high taxation helps only the elite.

  1. Great article, amen. Now more than ever, Animal Farm (and 1984) are extremely relevant.

    1. The definition of a Slave, is one who is Taxed without his/her consent.
      Let that sink in….

  2. The economy is screwed up for people my age. I am 25 and make good money but the cost of living is ridiculous. Rent is 950+, but jobs all around my area wants to pay you a crappy wage. Rent , car note , car insurance, car maintenance, Gas, Food, health/dental/vision insurance, phone bill, utilities, etc. but the jobs in my city wants to pay under entry level salaries while demanding 5 years of experience. Sh!t is ridiculous. People my age will never be able to afford a home. The cost of living is high but wages have been stagnant the past 20 years. But my generation is lazy according to baby boomers. Boomers were paid a wage to raise a family but nowadays it’s hard to get paid a wage to just support yourself

    1. Agreed. I could rent an apartment with a friend for $300 total when I was 25. Tuition was much cheaper, health insurance was expensive but not rigged to a level of absurdity as it today. Cartels weren’t importing as many foreigners to cut wages in most industries. Today, you have to learn a trade and charge people $100 an hour with a straight face to unplug their toilets or swap out an electrical fuse. You’ll be better off when you find a niche and get aggressive in staking your claim in the world.

      1. My wife is buying a 3 bedroom house, repayments on her 90% loan are $300/ month. My pickup truck annual insurance + road tax + safety check is $30. You’re just living in the wrong country, vote with your feet and move.

        1. JOHN
That is expensive for Chang Mai, bro.
My wife owned a house and we did additions for $2000 and you’d pay $500,000 in UK for anything near it.
I bought a car used for $1000, perfect condition. A few years old, I repainted it.
          I built a garage for $500.

        2. JOHN
These guys on this site will never leave. They will be complaining their city or neighborhood or standard of living are shit because of “Jews” in 20 years just like right now.
Leave the bedroom you spent your entire life in? Cease wanking for 24 hours to fly on a plane? Spend a night or two outside in Asia while you get your bearings? Have a real relationship with a local woman?
Good Lord, you think kids born in the Clinton/Blair era to Yuppie parents could DO THAT?

        3. she is buying with whose money?, is she not running away from the whoremonger?

        4. keith,
She has to get something for living with a guy older than her dad.
I pay for everything, just like in the traditional patriarchal families that all you RoK readers dream of having. I pay and in return she takes care of the home, our children and serves me.

    2. i see myself living in the forest with my tent, so i can spare myself the ridiculous rent 750€+ for a 2 room apartment.

    3. Live abroad in a cheaper country and geo-arbitrage your salary. Plus, no taxes if you stay out enough.
If you’re a native English speaker, then you can easily cobble together enough jobs doing writing work and make $1000-2000/month in a few months.
Kind of like a modern day John Galt.

      1. If you dont mind a little drive, I can buy country acreage here 45 min from the major metropolitan city of 2 million for $2-6k.
Build it in stages- Foundation, Framing / Roof, Interior, plumb and electri for less than $50k.
Im talking Paid for, free & clear. Stick it to the bank. Freedom.
Then you Garden, Hunt, keep small livestock (Chickens, Milk goat etc)- or pay for it, I buy half a cow every fall after buying a calf in the Spring. Organic meat almost year round for less than $1.5 a pound. Shooting a deer or 2 is almost the same thing.
Living in a city is insanity.

    4. Boomers and the so called ‘greatest’ generation F’d this up for everyone..
My advice to you….rent a home with a few room mates you like. Male or female. Split rent. Keep housing costs low.
Forego a car unless absolutely necessary- if your climate allows- bike, scooter or motorcycle/Uber if possible. If a car, reliable 10 yr old Toyota is low cost. Camrys are great for that.
For Medical insurance, there are now plans less than $150 mo for a single man, aca compliant.
Eat at home– low cost meals at home most of your time- spaghetti etc under $3 per. Keep gas/heat costs low, turn way down when now at home and then selectively heat rooms you occupy with newer space heaters-low electric but efficient.
You could always buy a fixer upper home using Govt money on FHA loan. Costs to improve it are covered with the note in draws- nothing major, just a cleanout and modest repairs. Contract the work yourself, and again get a room mate or 2 to cover your mortgage.
You could easily be sitting on 30k-80k after renovation with a few repairs and upgrades- A New Kitchen-(Buy unstained cabinets Lowes), Flooring (Bamboo or Laminate you install yourself- Utube videos) , Landscape-(mulch, shrubs, small trees), Paint (Get Missed tints at Lowes for $5 gallon if you can-Gray & Neutral) and Wine rack room You build yourself ($300) go a long way towards your asset. Ask a realtor about bank owned properties for sale or a realtor that specilizes in them. Get Pre approved, makes it easier. You dont need nearly what you think you do. Keep house payment about 1/3 total income. No money down is available. FHA
Sell & repeat a year later. Stay out of war zones.

    5. Owning a home is a means to enslave you to a debt. Want to get ahead then struggle. Rent is 950 get 2 roommates and lower your rent to 315. Move close to work and you don’t need a vehicle. Take that money you save buy a duplex rent out one side and you pay only half or less if you do it right. The means is out there, do you do have what it takes to be successful… Most likely not…

  3. The golden age of the 50’s was an anomaly anyway. It was due to other parts of the world being decimated by the WWII. We were untouched on the mainland and were producing goods for the world for some time until other countries were able to rebuild.

    1. Truth!
The only reason a lazy Union slug in the 50s could make enough money to buy a 2 story house with a 2 car garage was because the Military/Industrial Complex bombed Japan and Germany’s factories.
Akio Morita, the founder of Sony, as a child in the 1920s, marveled at movies of US industrial manufacturing. On his first trip to the US, he was astonished to find the exact same machines still being used!
After WWII, quality engineer W. Edwards Deming tried to get US manufacturers to improve quality and technology which was still stuck in the 1920s.
Who listened to Deming? ONLY Japanese manufacturers.
Preston Tucker tried to make innovations in cars in the 1940s (disc brakes, 4 wheel independent suspension, fuel injection, etc.) but Detroit shut him down with threats and lawsuits.
Is it any wonder Asia leads the world in manufacturing?
And now we have Trump “making America great again” by imposing tariffs on China (as Reagan did to Japan) to further screw small US manufacturers and consumers by raising prices to keep unions and oligarchies happy. (Trump bought $350 million worth of Chinese aluminum for the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago).
*Before I get comments about how I’m a Hillary lover…I’ve read all of Trump’s books, I respect the man, but I respect economic freedom much more than any politician.

      1. Auto Unions were around since 1920s/30s.
They always paid well….provided nicely for a 1 Income family.
Then Board Members decided to screw them and move offshore while reporting record profits.
The wars helped but werent the only effect of that era. The US Dollar wasnt yet decimated by the Fed Reserve. Its now worth 95% less than in 1913.

    2. CrabRangoon
      Correct!
Namely Germany, England, France, Italy, and Japan.
Demand was high for American goods because, at the time, it was the only game in town. About late-sixties, early-seventies, as other industrial powers economies got up-and-running again, demand for American goods declined.
Of course, Israel got rich off oranges and Uzis during the fifties and sixties. Lucky them.

    3. People also forget big time that the 1950’s is when the U.S. lost its competitiveness. The economic miracle in Germany and Japan during that time were proof of that. Suddenly due to massive inefficiency and an inability to change, other nations that rebuilt started their own manufacturing empires that came to dominate. The post World War II time lag reconstruction was huge but inevitably the U.S. lost its power. It can take a long time for high taxes and high regulation to totally stifle a rich country but indeed, it will.
We used to flood the world with low cost, high quality, manufactured goods and paid the highest wages in the world. Now we flood the world with our dollars and we’re the biggest debtor nation. Our biggest export is inflation. This will not last and the writing is one the wall. Bubble after bubble. Drop by drop.

    1. Yep, the Left loves to claim that Fascism are National Socialism are “right wing”, while ignoring the fuckton of similarities the two have with Communism, e.g. High Taxes.

  4. And there is the solid proof that Conservatives are NOT National Socialists/Fascists, contrary to the MSM’s claims.
We do NOT beat people we disagree with; we only fight back if struck first.

  5. Pay your fair share.
Who are they to decide what your fair share is?
Taxes and divorce are the two greatest impediments of wealth building in America.
Divorce is easy to avoid. Don’t get married.
    But taxes!
$10,000,000,000,000 missing at the Pentagon. Anyone held accountable for that?
    I don’t know….
    Taxation without representation is tyranny.
Land of the free, home of the brave…just an empty slogan now.

    1. Its easier to get wealthy with a productive spouse that is supportive and or contributes.
Divorce runs only about 10% when couples agree on Faith and Budgeting says Dave Ramsey- Author and radio host, as well as Pastor, at it for 30+ years.

  6. When your very currency is owned by your (((enemy))) and your peoples future generations are permanently indebted to that enemy. What chance do we really have with such a rigged game. Rising up and expelling the usurpers is the only way.

  7. You give up more than 1/3 of your income to the government so they can pay back interest to the privately owned central banking system and then take out more debt to distribute money to pay obscene politician salaries & pensions, pay their elite cronies in the form of corporate contracts, and the rest goes to pay Marxist females to reproduce out of wedlock. And you can’t forget funding abortions as well along with other government programs that benefit everyone but white males.
Then you have sales taxes. Then you have property taxes. Did you earn any capital gains? Well the government gets a big percentage of that as well. And what do you think the central banking system does with all that free money it gets back in the form of interest? It funds anti-male special interest groups and anti-male laws.
It’s a system that needs to go away. The system needs to crash and be wiped out. We need to go back to a time when money actually had intrinsic value and you kept 100% of your income. We are the first society in all of human that actually pays single females to reproduce out of wedlock and pays for their kids upbringing. And this just didn’t happen by accident. It was intentionally implemented with the intent of destroy western Christendom.

    1. “We are the first society in all of human that actually pays single females to reproduce out of wedlock and pays for their kids upbringing. And this just didn’t happen by accident.” Yep – giving the vote to women 100 years ago is one major cause of this current f**ked up system.

    2. Bitcoin will do that.
So will putting your money into local savings banks, not Fed Chartered, or Credit Unions.
Best bet is being self employed-whether a tradesman, computer skill or other.

  8. We have a progressive tax code, and that means some people get taxed more and some people get taxed less. It’s a system used by politicians to reward their friends and punish their enemies. So of course our governing elite class love taxes, since they get to decide who pays and how much.

    1. “High taxation can be used as a means to hinder, suppress and even discourage certain types of economic activity or economic activity in general.”
That quote right there is the reason that so many rich people are for “higher taxes”. Let’s all just quickly agree that no one other than a madman would advocate for higher taxes that they themselves would have to pay. The possible exception to this would be taxes for a specific purpose that is shared equally and clearly benefits them – the building of a bridge, renovating a specific public space, funding a war, etc. This concept of being taxed in perpetuity for no real obvious purpose is somewhat new. So most sane people are against taxes as they exist in present day.
But what the rich (and progressives ESPECIALLY) really want is to control people’s behavior and they think government and taxation are perfect methods for doing that. I can’t count how many conversations that I’ve had with progressives where they decry the common man and his inability to make wise decisions, and how we need to be controlled or corralled. They miss the whole fucking point of freedom which is for the man next to me to make decisions that I would not make. If he’s not free to do that, then what is the point of freedom?
The alternative is the freedom that I give my children – you can pick the book you’d like to read at bedtime, but I’ll choose when that bedtime is and I’m the one who provides the book and if you stay up to late reading I’ll be the one shutting off your lights. THAT is the freedom that progressives offer to the masses – near total freedom within very specific venues (sexuality, entertainment, modes of dress) and heavy restrictions in nearly every aspect of life that matters. Because at the end of the day they don’t think that YOU or the man next to you has the wherewithal to make good decisions for yourself.
So I’d caution the younger readers here – when you’re discussing politics with people, you need to be VERY cautious when they start making broad statements about how 90% of the population is stupid or ignorant or whatever. That’s the instinct of a progressive. The reality is that this world is built by the common man. He’s the one who designed the bridges and plumbed the houses and ran the electrical lines through your office. He’s the one who mixed the paint that adorns the roads and cut the timber that made your furniture. Every where you look there are men making decisions and living lives with just as much reasoning and wisdom as do you.

  9. You know, if you told me 20 years ago, as a baby-faced 18 year old, that the world was run by Neo-Druid pedophiles, I would have laughed in your face. Now, I’m not laughing…

  10. Elite don’t mind high income taxes because they don’t get their money from personal income. They get it from assets. Thats why buffet can be yeah yeah yeah high tax, because it doesn’t affect him specifically
