The insipid, blue-pilled middle class keeps society safe and predictable. Moreover, they act as a buffer against the sanguineous hordes of either anarchy or totalitarianism; the middle class will never revolt because they enjoy lives just comfortable enough to deter them from general strikes and mass civil disobedience.
Think about how wealthy people in developing nations live: fear of kidnappings, Marxist rebels in the jungle, and drug cartels intimidating provincial governments require the third world elite to maintain expensive private security forces. Watch half a season of “Narcos” or the movie “City of God” and you’ll get an idea, or visit any poor country and observe how many buildings have iron gates over the doors and bars on the windows. Sure, third-world plutocrats can afford to live in mansions with high walls guarded by attack dogs, but they’re essentially besieged by the indigent masses.
Not to belabor the point, but did Gaddafi foster a large, stable middle class in his country? Of course he didn’t, and he died with a bayonet shoved up his ass.

The Middle class is patriarchal
Here’s where Marxism and feminism play footsie with each other: the characteristics of the middle class are defined by patriarchy. I didn’t make this up—some PhD named Ruby K Payne articulated that idea in the 90’s. In her book “A Framework for Understanding Poverty,” Payne described the characteristics of social classes in America. Guess which social class was matriarchal> If you said “the lower class,” you’re right!
In the American socioeconomic strata, according to Payne, generational poverty follows a matriarchal structure, where the mothers, who aren’t always certain who the biological fathers of their children are, take on sole caretaker roles for their children. Impoverished women tend to have a rotation of non-committal relationships with men whom they select for being basically “bad boys” (lovers and fighters) and consider fungible within the family unit.
The classic middle class by contrast is patriarchal where the men act as consistent primary providers, with women as either homemakers or secondary income contributors. While divorce is common within the middle class, patrilineal connections remain intact, with subsequent new marriages for each party as post-divorce norms.
When I read comments by single guys lamenting the unfair dating market and promiscuous millennial female behavior, I infer that either the characteristics of generational poverty have encroached into the middle class social strata or they’re out trying to run game in front of the welfare office. Signs point to the former even though the sign in the photo points to the latter.

Why would seemingly intelligent people not look beyond the next 10 years to question – hey, what happens when the tipping point is reached and we’re in the minority? If we need more people to prop up the welfare state, why not encourage the most stable, law-abiding people on the planet (middle class whites) to simply have more children? I was born in the 80’s but wish our society would go back to the culture of the 1950’s. That decade was great because:
1. Divorces were rare,
2. Feminism was essentially non-existent
3. The job market was booming like crazy
4. Women were classy, thin, feminine and graceful
5. Radical new technologies were being created to create a better quality of life for everyone
6. Families were happier; having the white picket fence, the green yard, and two chickens in every pot
7. Religion was valued and people went to church – even wearing suits.
8. Social justice and liberalism weren’t out-of-control
9. Picnics and 4th of July block-parties brought households together
I think a strong middle-class is a large part of what makes (made) America great. With this, you could make the argument that the 1950’s were one of the greatest decades in American history.

Granted the economic boom was temporary, but the point still stands that the culture back then was much more stable, pleasant, safe, and healthy. And it wasn’t just because of the economy. Watch a movie or TV show from 1990 or earlier and you’ll look through a window into a world where most people still didn’t even lock their front doors. On your next vacation visit a small town in the Midwest that is still 90+% white. With the exception of a few easily avoidable shitholes (NYC, Detroit, St. Louis, etc) the ENTIRE COUNTRY was that way.
A good economy is vital for the kind of society for a number of reasons, including the fact that one parent can financially support a household and it offers legitimate ways to get ahead and advance- this also offers hope and opportunity.
One reason you see so many slouches today is because the economy is so rotten in so many places they’ve just given up- the hope is gone. You don’t need much imagination to see where that leads everywhere else.

The middle class has been steadily disappearing in modern America. Wealth inequality in NYC rivals that of Sub-Saharan Africa. Real wages haven’t risen since the 70s. To even aspire to be middle class these days in the US is simply delusional. Generally speaking it usually goes one of two ways, either they turn out wo become completely useless dependent snowflake trash(majority), or they overcome every single imposed shackle and handcuff and brainwashing effort and excel and rise above their peer group because they were always self driven to overcome because they always had to overcome huge obstacles to just get on par with their peers in academics maturity and socially. The are focused on success and are driven by results, the epitome of self made men (scant minority remaining of that group). You don’t really see success stories like that even from among the rest of more “normal” families. Strongly disagree with this statement. Libya was the one of the best run African countries with a significant and well educated middle class. Free education, free healthcare, substantial welfare payments for families, state pensions, and most importantly Gaddafi effectively distributed the oil wealth directly back to the Libyan people. Where are you getting this? Libya was a psuedo-socialist dictatorship for most of the Gaddafi eta. Libya’s public sector employed 60% of its population but at a low wage and low standard of living. Gaddafi’s Third Univeral Theory (The Green Book) doctrine explicitly advocated seizure of privately held assets from the middle and upper classes.
Toward the end (around 2009 or so) Gaddafi tried to pivot and create more of a middle class and open up to the West but by then it was too late.
I admit that Gaddafi’s female bodyguards made using him as an example appealing for this article but I’m still not buying anyone’s story that Libya was a prospering Westernized nation with a large middle class that just happened to turn rabid on its leader.
