We communicate over such systems in the 21st century. If they are able to silence someone (suspend or delete an account), the freedom of speech is de facto curtailed. Yes, I know the First Amendment only applies to the government, modern technology is a new reality, and for freedom of speech to have any practical meaning, it needs to be extended to the Internet.

    There are veritable millions of cubicle dwellers bored of their mediocre jobs and existences staring at monitors – their only connection to the outside world – for 9 hours a day, tasked with such menial responsibilities that they have more than enough “downtime” that they don’t know what to do with.
    That time is spent pouring through online forums, blogs, facebook, IMing, newssites, YouTube, pintrest, instagram, reddit and any number of other social media outlets that allows them to mentally escape their 9 hours in the cube and feel in someway connected and important to a virtual society outside it.
    And just like real-world society, tribes form in the virtual world, cube tribes consisting of like-interests bonded by political, social, gender and ideological affinity. The recent posts by yourself and Tuthmosis were a rallying cry for the cubelings; it was a cause they could feel good attacking since it so neatly fit into the antithesis of their feminized conditioning.
    In a way these posts provided the cubelings with what they so desperately want; a sense of belonging and the gratification of thinking that 5 of the 9 hours they spent in the cube that day – the hours they were collectively coming up with all those creative death threats, shaming and inane sputterings (rather than any thoughtful criticism) – actually had an impact in making the world a better place.

Most people tend to believe that the “law” will protect them, not realizing that man makes and enforces law; the law doesn’t make and enforce men. 82. I think what people are getting riled up about is the sheer mean spiritedness/cruelness of your views (not just you, but the general spirit of this website). It’s not because “it’s the truth and the truth hurts”, but simply because, at least on a personal level, I’m very uneasy about living in a world where some men and women feel this way (women are sluts if they sleep around, female educatedness is ruining our society and if you’re not skinny you’re a grotesque ugly freak who will never gain the pleasure of having an alpha stick his dick in her). I speak for more than just myself when I say that the “painful truth” of this and basically everything I see on this website, is the reminder of the existence of such organized and outspoken mysogyny. It is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. It is also the kind of negative generalization and miseducation that defines a textbook mysogynist. That being said, as a man, it is rather upsetting to me that this site is supposed to be some kind of beacon for musculinity. There is a very real need for a vision and an example of healthy masculinity in this world, and this website is about as backwards as it gets. You’re only 22, so maybe you will become slightly less retarded in time, and stop seeing the world as an “us versus them” sex/gender war. Otherwise, I cringe to think of what your married life will be like; not that imagining the way in which you must affect the women in your dating life isn’t cringeworthy enough. In response to all of the responses I have read so far, I feel the need to point out to any future feminists visiting this site that the moderator will have no respect for your opinions whatsoever, and you should focus your efforts on worthwhile causes like spreading awareness of the true meaning of feminism (making feminine traits acceptable for all, and validating women as people with the same rights) rather than trying to convert someone who clearly will not consider your opinions.
    And here I go against my own suggestion in order to leave a message for anyone who does not believe women are equal to men: Women have never been given the same opportunities, rights or respect as men. Once, a woman might have been lucky to go to school, but would still not be given the right to speak for herself. A woman might speak for herself anyway, but she would be faced by the disrespect of men, and thus, her opinion and intelligence would be disregarded.
    After centuries of fighting for the right to own property, the right to vote, the right to come into any position of power, all against systematic oppression, not to mention the constant risk of rape or murder or jail, women have been pushing shit uphill with a pointy stick for decades, and deserve your respect.
    I don’t care how you want to define your relationships or what you expect of your girlfriends/wives, (on the flip side, so many women expect weak and obedient husbands, so this is not a one way thing), but I do ask that you not actively claim that women are weaker, less intelligent or more reliant than men. It simply isn’t true, and it is upsetting to see you downplay the achievements of women so greatly.
    And a last note: men may provide a key ingredient to making a child, but a woman can be artificially inseminated, while a man can’t hope to make a baby on his own. Half of each child did not come out of their father; only one cell did; an incomplete set of DNA. Every cell in the child’s body, and every protein and every pump of life giving blood was provided by the mother. Nine months of morning sickness, pains, immobility, the constant risk of injuring their unborn child, all of that is the mother’s work, and so you cannot say women do not suffer like men do. Women suffer mild labor pains every month of their life from the onset of puberty until menopause (over 40 years in most cases) in order to even be capable of the feat they perform on their own, usually many times over. The pain endured by a mother giving birth is more than a human can survive under any other circumstance. Take into consideration that the vagina is only just large enough to pass a child, and so tearing is very common and usually takes weeks to heal.
    I am not trying to tell you that women are better than men. I just want you to respect how much they have to endure, how much they have to fight for their rights already, and to not look so objectively at women in general. What you want in a partner or a relationship is your business, but you can’t apply those standards to everyone, so please stop trying to.
    I am sick of losing opportunities and being disrespected for something I cannot help, and which has nothing to do with my intelligence or abilities.
    And I would like to see you deal with sexism for a week. Next time your boss bars your promotion until you agree to sexual favours, let me know. Next time your opinion is invalid because you’re a man, let me know. Next time you feel unsafe in a public space, not because you’re weak, but because six guys look like they’re about to abduct you and you fear for your dignity and life, well, just let me know.
    Not to mention, next time you stumble onto a website telling you how to conform and be good and suitable for your future partner, including statements like taking away contraceptives (remember- it’s your nine months of immobility! not to mention pain and eventual agony) and adhering to a strict code of appearance, well, tell me about that, then. It’s funny, feminists and all of those blogs/websites out here totally ran by women and totally dedicated to women strong this and that don’t have hateful type comments on it usually but on sites ran by men, for men, about women/feminists/bad girl types amongst other topics, these sites always get hit up by haters. I never quite understood that. I think 98% of women are just upset that they don’t have a penis and aren’t completely equal to us men. Either way, I don’t care. I just wanted to voice my thoughts on this blog.
