A few months ago, I wrote a post titled 24 Signs She’s A Slut. In it, I itemized a few tells of promiscuity in women that I—and men everywhere—have figured out through hard, empirical work over the years. Perhaps I should’ve expected it, but the piece instantly stirred up spirited responses, particularly from certain demographics. While getting a lot of “daps” and cosigns from level-headed men and women, it also managed to kick over a hornet’s nest of angry, closeted strumpets who didn’t appreciate having light cast on their scandalous behind-the-scenes shenanigans. Everyone knows that sluts, like Dick Cheney, lurk in the shadows.
A common counter-argument to the article was the logical fallacy of presenting an exception to the rule to try to disprove it. The formula was simple:
1. Pick one of the more innocuous signs that applies to you (“I have blue hair”).
2. Claim to have a relatively tame sexual past (“I’ve been in the same relationship for the last 7 years”).
3. Declare the entire article null and void (“Therefore you’re wrong”).
Of course, these people conveniently failed to read the part of the article that says the more tells a woman exhibits, the more likely it is that she’s a slut. Absent is any black-and-white claim that any single one of these signs alone automatically renders a woman a slut. For example, I acknowledge it’s totally possible to meet a nun with a tattoo. That said, a double-digit count made a slut diagnosis near-inevitable.
Among the pieces of constructive criticism I received was that the list is simply not comprehensive. In consideration to my reader, I’d deliberately presented an “abridged list.” So, by popular demand:

1. She smokes (cigarettes). The classic adage has never been more true: if she smokes, she most certainly pokes. A girl who smokes is a natural risk-taker—especially in an age where we’re fully cognizant of dangers of the habit. If she gambles with her pulmonary health, rest assured she also takes risks in her sex life.
2.Has mostly “guy friends.” A woman’s comfort around hordes of dudes—and participation in their “guy activities”—likely extends into the bedroom. If for no other reason than simple attrition, sooner or later the conditions (inebriation, horniness, isolation) have been right with several of her so-called guy friends.
3. Wears color contacts. The bigger the cosmetic lie, the bigger the slut. Eye color is a pretty big untruth.
4. Has slutty role models like Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, or any of the Kardashians. Women are natural copycats, and it’s a good bet that they’re not only copying their idols’ fashion choices and speech patterns.
5. Wears hoop earrings. Sayings exist for a reason, and “the bigger the hoop, the bigger the hoe” has stuck around precisely because of its reliability. Perhaps no other fashion accessory speaks louder. If you could fit a soda can in it, you’re golden.
6. Grew up with multiple brothers, especially if they’re older. The little sister gets dragged along to gatherings of older boys, who monitor her development like an impatient baker watching a cake through the oven window. She overhears guy-talk through her formative years, and inherits a quasi-male cavalier attitude toward sex.
7. Went to Catholic- or all-girls school (during or after puberty). These places are natural incubators for horniness and sexual resentment, which few girls have the natural willpower to resist satiating upon departure.
8. Has a loud voice and/or a loud laugh. The loudest girl in the bar is never the most prudish.
9. Is an athlete, especially at the elite level. Athletic girls have a triumvirate of powerful pull-factors into slut territory: fit bodies that make them supremely desirable; higher testosterone levels, and therefore higher sex drives; and access to successful and equally horny alpha males. Recent exposés on the epic fuckfests in the Olympic Village have only further confirmed this.
10. Drinks manly drinks. If a girl orders a whiskey on your first date, close your tab and figure out which one of you lives closer to the bar.
11. Is an inveterate online attention-whore (i.e., has thousands of Facebook “friends,” regularly uploads tons of sexy “selfies,” includes herself in pictures of everything she “shares”). Attention-whoring is only one step removed from actual whoring. She thrives on male attention and it doesn’t stop just because she’s not in front of her MacBook or iPhone.
12. Majored in psychology. It’s well known that a not-insignificant percentage of female psychology majors are damaged girls looking for “answers.” That damage, at the very least, grazes the sexual realm.
13. Doesn’t object to, or outright proposes, unprotected sex early on. Do you really think you’re the first, or last, to raw-dog her on the first date?
14. Is good at giving blow jobs. Oral sex is like playing violin or writing calligraphy—fine work that requires practice. There are no prodigies.
15. Claims to be “good at dancing” but doesn’t do any formal dances (e.g., tango). You only get good at grinding your ass against a man’s boner in a dark room by doing it week in and week out. A certain percentage of those boners end up getting past the goalie.
16. Is a single mother. This almost goes without saying, but single mothers rarely made one “mistake,” as they often claim. She only made one mistake that’s visible and audible to everyone.
17. Describes herself as polyamorous, “into kink,” sex-positive, or simply as being “sexual.” Girls are masters at devising euphemisms, especially for their misbehaviors. Take note if her euphemisms translate into little more than horny, trampy, and sexually deviant.
18. Moved to New York City at some point in her life but isn’t actually from there. Moving to New York during your 20s for no good reason, and without a boyfriend or husband, is a near-guarantee that you partook in the female sex buffet that is the Big Apple.
19. Has fake tits or, worse, a fake ass. These even bigger cosmetic lies than color contacts, and more permanent.
20. Is a “fag-hag” (a.k.a. “fruit fly”). Girls who hang around gay men, accompanying them to their rowdy clubs, get manhandled by dudes as a matter of routine. She simultaneously feeds her attention-whoring addiction and her PG-13 sexual cravings. Straight or semi-straight guys will regularly capitalize on her horny moments and hit it. Of course, those won’t “count.”
21. Is into “cosplay.” Dressing up like sexy versions of cartoon and video-game characters is little more than a thinly veiled form of sexual-attention seeking from men.
22. Is on birth control, but not in a relationship. These are girls who are expecting to have unprotected sex any minute. If she has an IUD, she’s made a long-term commitment to casual sex.
23. Is always late to things. Habitual tardiness is tell-tale sign of general irresponsibility. This correlates with sexual carelessness.
24. Has an oversized man-jaw or a big mouth. Like hairiness and a low vocal-register, a man-jaw is a sign of high testosterone and, by extension, oversized sexual cravings.
25. Is somewhat overweight. Girls who dance around the 6 range—especially if it’s because of their dumpy, unfit physiques—are sufficiently attractive to participate in the sexual marketplace, but not cute enough to compete with the real hotties. They’ll make up the difference by being easy.
26. Her mother is a slut. Like mother, like daughter. The person in the best position to steer her daughter away from a life of skankiness is her mother. And, the best way to teach her daughter how not to be the slut is by modeling that behavior herself. But just like violent fathers raise violent sons, slutty mothers raise slutty daughters.
The great American jurist Louis Brandeis once remarked that “sunlight is the best disinfectant.” Bringing these iron-clad slut tells to light isn’t necessarily a condemnation of promiscuous women. It just allows men to make the informed choice of either avoiding commitment to a girl who’s willfully made herself the cake in the urinal or, alternatively, seeking that girl out.

In an abusive relationship, it can take time to get out, esp if you live with the abuser, are married, and/or have children together or are pregnant. To leave, you need money, somewhere to stay, and find time to get the things you need (id, medication, etc.) to somewhere safe so you can leave with little confrontation (having to pack a bunch of stuff makes it take longer to leave which can be dangerous if the abuser lashes out when they learn you are trying to leave). If pregnant or there are children involved, the abuser can fight for custody, try to get the state to take them from you, or threaten to harm them if you leave. If one is married to the abuser and/or there is joint custody, you cannot just leave with the children always as they can report you for kidnapping. You also need to document proof of the abuse so you can keep the children and get a restraining order. Also, many abusers do not start out acting like that. They become violent, manipulative, and intimidating over time. They act loving and kind to gain your trust and use that to manipulate you into doing what they want and once they start hurting you and/or children, they have their hooks in you and know it is hard to just pick up and leave.

If a parent or older relative/friend or whoever is unable or unwilling to help, their getting out depends on someone reporting to CPS, then CPS getting to the home and actually deciding to remove the child. But most children end up back in the same shitty environments unless there is serious well documented proof of abuse and the court rules that ‘reunification’ is not possible (they make parents go to counseling and a bunch of hearings to try to ‘fix’ the problem but it rarely does). This can also apply to a relationship partner. Someone who does not have a lot of money (or if the partner has found a way to withhold or hide money), has children, and/or some other situation that makes them vulnerable, they are often more dependent on the abuser. The abuser knows this and uses this to exert total control over his or her victim. This makes it so when the victim wants to leave, it takes time and if they mess up one little part of their escape plan it can cost them their lives (ie.: moving your things out when they’re at work or somewhere else, finding transportation&somewhere for you and children to stay that the abuser will not find them take time to plan out)

I am well aware of side effects. Any rational person would research their medical care and talk with a professional. I don’t know what religion has anything to do with being healthy. Schizophrenia & epilepsy for example have symptoms that many believed were demonic possession. -avoiding IV drug use or taking care to use clean needles (never have nor do I intend to start shooting up heroin)

Most of the things on this list seem overly generalized or sound like someone is ranting about some girl who rejected him or an ex. If you want to have successful relationships with a woman (not just one night stands with some other desperate person), calling a large group of them names if they have characteristics (most of which have nothing to do with sex) that you disapprove of. I absolutely think that women AND men should know basic self defense and be taught when younger they should be cautious (ie.: not be alone at night, stay out of bad areas, etc). But these things tend to not be as effective when you are in a situation where the abuser is not a stranger. Often, it is a partner, friend, relative, caregiver, or even someone in a position of authority (ie.: teacher, boss, correctional officer, doctor, etc). People who have authority over their victim will use that to keep their victim in line, by threatening retaliation. Also, even if it were satirical, there isn’t explanation for what defines private property. There is nothing stipulating whether the victim came to the property willingly (if they were drugged or unconscious they didn’t), and it’s very difficult to prove they did or didn’t. Does private property mean anything privately owned? What if a young girl is being abused by her uncle in his home? By that logic, this wouldn’t be a crime because somehow she’s supposed to ‘take responsibility’ of the situation.
Overall, my point is that regardless, the logic leaves a lot of potential to write off victims of sexual violence. It assumes that everyone who is assaulted in someone’s home went there by their own free will, in sound mind, and there are no power dynamic issues. It also sends the message that someone has the right to rape someone just because they went on a date with them or chose to spend time with them.

Thank you for your extensive response. I just read the article again, and while I did not pick up on all of the nuances you pointed out, I can understand the idea. I am not a feminist because I do not support the third wave sjw bullshit version that’s so prominent today. I have seen that most of these people are self serving & think that what they want should come at the cost of others. They actively discriminate against men & ignore very real problems affecting them.
I know through my own experiences and through research on the subject that the idea of a ‘rape culture’ in the US is completely false. In a real rape culture like Saudi Arabia, rape victims are not believed or are punished for it. Their attackers are not held accountable and people in general don’t take the cases seriously. In this country specifically, a woman who accuses someone of rape but doesn’t have enough witnesses is automatically found guilty of adultery and executed. That is horrible, and most people would condemn this. In the US, we investigate claims of sexual violence & take them to court. Rapists/child molesters/etc. are sent to prison, put on registries when they get out & in general are hated by most people. But we do have a major issue with false accusations. When someone is falsely accused of sexual violence, it is very hard to prove, and even then most people are not punished for this. A false accusation ruins a person’s life & even when found innocent, they have to live with that stigma. I think that is absolutely awful, and anyone who would ruin someone’s life in that way is just as sick as a sexual abuser.
Now, as for taking responsibility, I agree that it is important to understand that one’s actions can have consequences. No one deserves to be abused, but I believe it’s important to understand that some things can increase risk. If someone chooses to take risks, they should be aware of this and be taking steps to help themselves (ie.: know self defense, be wary of being alone with someone who’s not trustworthy, trusting instincts, etc). But I also recognize that all of this sadly doesn’t help every person. Like I said, there are many victims who were abused by someone they knew well & trusted. For example, most child sexual abuse cases are committed by someone the child & family trust, like a relative, babysitter, or family friend. Another example is relationship abuse. People who abuse their boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse often have raped, attempted to rape, or did something of a sexually abusive nature often to control victims. Finally, another issue not discussed enough is perpetrators in positions of authority. For instance, a woman with a criminal record who is abused by her probation officer may have problems because the PO has authority, and the criminal record hurts credibility.
I still maintain that I disagree with most of the points on the ’26 more signs she’s a slut’ article. I have always been a person who does not feel the need to obsess about someone’s sex life. I choose not to be sexually promiscuous for my own reasons but if someone else chooses differently, I don’t care as long as it doesn’t negatively affect me or others.
Overall, I do see your points, and I’m sorry if my previous responses did not make that clear enough. We do need to do more about this issue and I agree that SJW’s of today have it wrong. If anything, they’ve made it worse by emboldening people to make false accusations because they know they’ll be listened to and regardless of the outcome the accused will have their lives ruined. Unfortunately, I for a short time bought into some of the lies that many libtards as I like to call them put so much effort into convincing the masses, until I actually spent some time in college & got into a serious relationship. It also didn’t hurt I had the brains to do research in multiple sources not just liberal propaganda.
The west, especially the US is about as far from ‘rape culture’ as we can get. When someone’s accused of rape, it is taken seriously and the police investigate. If there’s evidence, it goes to trial, and people accused are nearly always found guilty, even if there’s conflicting evidence. TBH I think we have the opposite issue, where someone accused (usually men; I know women can commit sexual violence too but men are overwhelmingly accused more) has very little to defend themselves in court. The juries and the public (esp if the media covers it a lot) automatically sees them as a criminal. Even if he is found not guilty, and even if there’s evidence the accuser lied about the entire thing, he’s pretty much screwed. As someone with male family members, male friends, and who in general gets along with males unlike some feminazis who think all men are evil, this makes me sad. Moreover, as someone who wishes to have children one day, I worry less about a daughter of mine being victimized (as there’s methods to teach people to reduce their risk, and they are more likely to get justice if someone does do something), but rather a son getting falsely accused by a vengeful ex girlfriend (the falsely accused almost never get justice, and their lives are ruined all based on an accusation; it’s like the modern-day Salem Witch Trials).
As for hookup culture, I think that both parties should understand what they’re getting into. Females do have to understand if they get into a dangerous situation by getting blackout drunk, using drugs, etc and especially if they go alone with a stranger and don’t know how to defend themselves, those are risks she’s willingly taking on. Not saying if she is raped that is okay, but this isn’t inevitable if a girl takes precautions. But males on the other hand have their own risks. In this world, if a woman accuses a man of rape, and she is intoxicated, for some reason people don’t seem to care if he is intoxicated too. I think this is where the lines get blurry. On one hand, alcohol does not make you automatically a violent rapist. It only lowers inhibitions so you’ll do things you wouldn’t necessarily do when sober. On the other hand, I feel like most situations classified as assault when alcohol is involved, if both parties are drunk, it’s not impossible for a guy, in an enebriated state, to not recognize subtle body language and other signs that his partner may not be capable of consent. Being drunk makes this very difficult. Unfortunately, in our society today, a male being accused saying he was also intoxicated isn’t always enough for a defense. I think that’s a problem, because we are prioritizing the rights of women over men in a criminal proceeding. Unfortunately, men who hookup, especially with drugs/alcohol, also takes on the risk of being accused of rape. This could happen in any sexual relationship, but I’ve noticed it’s more common when drugs or alcohol are involved. However, this does NOT make it okay. The lack of due process for the accused, especially in university kangaroo courts, but also in real criminal courts, is horrifying to me.
At least if I have a daughter, I can teach precautions so she can protect herself, and if god forbid someone did hurt her there’s at least some chance of justice. But if I have a son, what do I tell him that could help him not be falsely accused or get justice for it?
Now, to circle back to the article this thread is about, “26 more signs she’s a slut”, I will give my two cents about that. I didn’t like the article for a few reasons:
1. The word ‘slut’, and others like it (ie. “whore”, ‘ho’, etc) is so subjective, everyone has their own personal definition, making it lose real meaning and usefulness
2. Many of the ‘signs’ have little to nothing to do with one’s sexual history. Just because someone has brothers, is friends with males, does cosplay, drinks ‘manly drinks’ etc does not mean they’ve also slept with tons of people. On the other hand, there are people who have slept with many people who don’t fit any of these markers
3. It assumes that women’s sexualilty is always largely defined by the men in their life. Many of the ‘signs’ connect to relationships with men or suggest the behavior is man-like, and that sexuality has to be defined at least partly by something to do with males. While this is true for straight women at least partly, I think that is oversimplifying it
4. It assumes that ‘sluttiness’ equals being a bad person. While I can agree that it can make things difficult, it doesn’t make you a bad person. I do know some women who may be in the definition of ‘slut’ this article argues, and I see their sexual history as separate from who they are as a person. Your sexual history doesn’t always define you as a person. Unless your sexual behaviors directly harm or try to harm others (ie.: knowingly risking spreading disease to others, wrecking relationships, abusing/raping people, etc), you can still be a good person.
5. I don’t actively promote casual sex and I don’t think it should be because of the risks that entails. If it’s glorified, I think that’s a bad thing. I personally have never and don’t plan on engaging in those types of behaviors, because I don’t see the need to and have found happiness in monogamy. But, if someone else chooses differently, I think that should be their choice, as long as they don’t harm others. I feel like judging others for sexual history when it’s not affecting you is just obsessing over someone’s private life unnecessarily.

I should have clarified. I started taking the pill for medical stuff but I haven’t tried other treatments at this time because I am also trying to prevent pregnancy. I am a young, unemployed college student who is not financially or personally prepared to be a parent so of course I do what I can to lessen the chances. Also I do go out in costume on Halloween. im sorry you’ve experienced this. I strongly strongly urge you to seek counseling. If you can’t get to one, maybe talk to someone at your school like a teacher. Your mother’s neglect & emotional abuse are appalling. But before you say anything to the school, do some research on minor rights in your state or country. Because if you’re uninformed they could ship you off to a group home that’s even worse and if you’re informed on your rights it can help. Your situation is sadly not uncommon and one that at least in my country you get a lesser of two evils (returned to the shitty parent or placed in overwhelmed disorganized foster care system where you may end up in a group home that you’re treated even worse, by overwhelmed staff or by other kids; or foster parents who are complete psychos or just take kids for the money). But I do think that counseling of some kind could really help. You don’t have to be alone, and it’s not too late to get a better life. Also it’s super important to try your hardest in school. A high school diploma is necessary for really any job & if you get good grades, it can open up a lot of opportunities. It also might be helpful to reach out to any relatives or parent of a friend/someone you know well. Obviously I don’t know your family situation or if there’s anyone you trust, but if there’s ANYBODY that comes to mind, reaching out could make a big difference. On a final note, you will be 18 soon and if you can keep up in school & your ‘growing up fast’ has in any way helped you, you can leave on your birthday and have a chance. Granted, it’s hard, but not impossible. I do hope things improve for you
