How To Live A Balanced Life

The following poem was written 2,500 years ago by Tao Te Ching:

Fill your bowl to the brim
and it will spill.
Keep sharpening your knife
and it will blunt.
Chase after money and security
and your heart will never unclench.
Care about people’s approval
and you will be their prisoner.

Do your work, then step back.
The only path to serenity.

  1. So true. It’s all about balance. I’ve been on the workaholic side and then I had a burnout. I have friends that accomplish little because they live too leisurely. The right answer is probably doing a little more than 50 : 50.

  2. Roosh, study the Vedanta Sutra by Vyas and Yoga Sutra by Patanjali then get back to me, ol’ boy.
