3 Reasons For The Downfall Of Mainstream Journalism

As I’m reading Roosh’s new book Free Speech Isn’t Free, it strikes me how complicit the mainstream media (especially in Canada) was in spreading SJW lies about his speaking tour. Newspapers and TV news broadcasts practically worked as mouthpieces for the rabid feminists trying to shut down the lectures.

After the outrage over the international meet-ups we were trying to organize earlier this year, I did an analysis of the mainstream media’s coverage. Swedish feminists went nuts when they they discovered that a “pro-rape rally” was being held in Stockholm. As you would expect, the media went along with their side of the story.

Out of the 20 articles I could find regarding the meet-ups, from six different outlets, 15 contained the false claim that Roosh wants to legalize rape. Ten articles had the claim in the headline, front and center. In seven articles, Roosh is described as a misogynist, and several more say there’s something wrong with his view of women. Consequently, SJWs on social media expressed their wish to assault, rape and kill Roosh (they also thought he was coming to Stockholm in person).

So why did this happen? Why did formerly respectable news outlets stoop to spreading lies propagated by mentally unstable women and manginas hell-bent on destroying masculinity and men in general? I see at least three reasons for it: a failing business model, tabloidization and leftist bias.

1. Failing business model

news

Good journalism, like everything else, costs money. But fewer and fewer are willing to pay for it.

It’s well known that the newspaper business is going through a crisis at the moment. You hear about big media companies laying off hundreds of journalists, trying to adjust to a new era where people can get their news for free on the Internet.

The negative trend has been ongoing for years, but 2015 was particularly bad for newspapers, according to Pew Research Center. Weekday circulation fell 7 percent and Sunday circulation fell 4 percent. Advertising revenue fell by nearly 8 percent, the greatest drop since 2009. The share of revenue from digital advertising is increasing, but only because the revenue from non-digital advertising is diminishing so fast. What the news media earn from their websites is not enough to cover what they lose on print.

The newspaper workforce has shrunk by 39 percent in the last 20 years. These numbers are only for the US, but the trend is similar all over the West. What this means is that fewer journalists have to do more work. The pressure of publishing the latest news online as fast as possible also means that little time can be spent on fact checking, or even getting out of the newsroom to do interviews and research.

In the case of the meet-up outrage, reporters clearly didn’t bother to do more than a rewrite of what their colleagues wrote. For instance, Swedish media referenced British The Telegraph and Australian ABC. That way, the same lies were copy-pasted onto news sites all over the world. With less pressure to churn out articles at high speed, the reporters might have done their homework better.

2. Tabloidization

tabloidization

In times of dwindling readership, what do you do to gain more readers? You give them what you think they want.

A short definition of tabloidization can be found in an article on the subject by media scholar Frank Esser: “a downgrading of hard news and upgrading of sex, scandal and infotainment.” Apart from a decrease in journalistic standards, tabloidization entails an increase in soft news like scandal, sensation and entertainment.

To get advertisers interested in your particular news outlet, you need to reach a large audience. Taking a quote from Esser’s article: “Competition and the pressure to find stories sensational enough to make papers walk off newsagents’ counters encourage invention, exaggerations and the invasion of privacy.” In the digital age, it’s about getting views and shares. But the same rule applies as it has for more than a hundred years of tabloid press; you make up BS to get people’s attention.

A story about a man traveling around the world to lecture men about the benefits of raping women, is something that people are going to read. Never mind that it’s not true, and that you’re violating fundamental journalistic standards by spreading lies—you need readers and will do anything to get them.

3. Leftist bias

mainstream-media

Probably the biggest and most obvious reason for the media’s reaction, is the fact that journalists in general are very left-leaning. There’s no real ideological difference between most journalists and SJW activists, they just put different labels on themselves.

One study of American media, both newspapers and TV news programs, showed that most of them have a liberal bias. Wall Street Journal was the most liberal, while Fox News was one of few outlets that actually leaned to the right.

There’s a problem in Sweden as well with the mainstream media consistently framing news stories in a leftist way. As I showed above, a majority of the outlets chose to portray Roosh as a rape propagandist, not even attempting to appear the least neutral.

Several studies where journalists were asked about which party they would vote for, confirms the leftist slant. The results showed that 63.3 percent sympathized with one of the three major left-wing parties, compared to 47.2 percent of the general population. While I’m not at all surprised, it’s nice to have some proof of what I already knew to be true.

Roosh and his neomasculine philosophy is a problem for these people. Actually, the truth in general is a problem for them. So they have to distort the facts in any way they can, and demonize those men who refuse to go along with their Marxist agenda.

I can’t imagine how much worse the situation would be if we didn’t have the Internet to communicate with each other.

If you like this article and are concerned about the future of the Western world, check out Roosh’s book Free Speech Isn’t Free. It gives an inside look to how the globalist establishment is attempting to marginalize masculine men with a leftist agenda that promotes censorship, feminism, and sterility. It also shares key knowledge and tools that you can use to defend yourself against social justice attacks. Click here to learn more about the book. Your support will help maintain our operation.

  1. There are a lot of disinfo sites in the so called alternative media too – some of them are not even aware they spread disinfo. In fact, I would say 95% of all you read or watch today is some sort of misdirection.

    1. Ok you have my attention, what kind of place would that be? Or what kind of news story and in what way would they misdirect. Curious…

    2. It is possible to find true reporting but those who are solely in the business of doing major exposes tend to get targeted and shut down. Compare Snowden vs Alex Jones. Snowden was shut down but Alex remains. Alex’s formula is simple where he blends or ‘mixes’ humor and entertainment in with his truthful reports. Also the old X-Files series had cracking open and revealing of true cover-ups and conspiracies, BUT they added and mixed in some total bullshit sci-fi fiction.
‘TMB’ or ‘truth mixed in with bullshit’ is a formula that has also worked for Art Bell and George Noori for example. If ‘Coast to Coast’ were limited to only doing serious exposes and whistle blowing, they’d be in the same boat with Snowden. But with the ‘bigfoot’ entertainment mixed in, Noori can cover much of the same serious whistleblowing that Snowden did and the show can survive unscathed.
I learned long ago that the politics of surviving is to not be 100% serious. I have a strong humorous side at times and can say some pretty twisted shit, but I can also name fingers and point names when something needs to be uncovered.
The following youtube vid came up at the top of a search for the movie ‘Gray State’. The preacher guy tells of the counterfeit (adultrated) ‘Gray State’ movie put out by elites which is full of subliminals to elicit premature and unplanned resistance and bring martial law down. He claims Alex Jones is a complete schll as well. I disagree Jones is a ‘complete’ schill but I believe he is more like a resistance-lite and his stands are slightly feminized and kosherized, similar to Breitbart. Jones did an excellent job though of tracking and exposing the fraud in the primaries and Jones may have well been the straw that kept Trump in the race. Trump would have been snuffed out in the dark if the old gatekeeper media were the only news sources around. Kudos to Jones on that.
But here’s the ‘Gray State’ (substitute movie) takedown youtube piece. He concludes with a prayer and a plea to not rise up in arms. Judge for yourself. Me, I’ll always spill the beans when I’ve got a nugget of inside info and I’ll call for the war whoop when there’s tyranny, but I’ll conclude it with a ripping humorous joke. You have to in order to survive. I’m not sure the ‘peaceful martyr’ style of protesting works anymore. We were sold on Tiannamen Square ‘flower in tank barrel’ while state jack boots hosed down students with machine gun fire and now China has a prison complex industrial slave plantation system that is the envy of elitists and billionaires worldwide.
And I don’t believe in lying down and being dragged to jail on my ass while protesting an abortion clinic. Church thumpers have been doing that since the 70’s and now the state targets those fundimentalist ‘Christian’ protesters by stealing their kids to add insult to injury while rubbing our noses in the fact that the abortion mills still run full blast. But laying down and playing dead while protesting, man that’s rough on the hide being goodamn dragged and shit. Hell I paid fifty bucks for these wranglers. Playing dead like a possum doesn’t work. Well, here’s the video:

    1. A lot of the old cartoons wouldn’t meet current standards for children now.
Wile E. Coyote played with explosives.
      Yosemite Sam shot guns.
Fred Flintstone had a compulsive gambling problem.
Underdog and Roger Ramjet tweaked on “energy pills.”
Wonder Woman tied people up with her lasso and made them “obey” her.
The bachelor Bruce Wayne lived with a “boy wonder.”
And Race Bannon killed people, lived with another man (Dr. Quest), and together they picked up an orphan boy from some Third World country and “adopted” him.

      1. Their problem with Batman would be that Bruce wasn’t in a gay relationship with his protege (who, by a certain point, became of age).
I recently rewatched the ’92 Batman cartoon. Almost every episode, I’d wonder “why don’t they make things like this anymore?” And then, I’d remember.

        1. That was my favorite show as a kid, by far. It was mostly the way they formed it artistically. The Ashcan/Edward Hopper aesthetic with the Wagner sounding music was such a cool combination. I had never heard orchestral or stylistically classical music as a kid aside from that show. And when I’d draw pictures, I’d try to draw them in that visual style sometimes. It just looked American (probably drawn by Japanese people for all we know though).
The story telling wasn’t at all divisive or anything. They used aspects of the old school noir movies to tell a simple hero story. It was black and white morality with the depiction of masculine virtue, in about every episode. And that was the point, Batman was always principled and stuck to his honor and virtue, even when the story got “dark” and those principles didn’t seem practical.
It wasn’t Warner Brother’s version of Family friendly, where Joel Schumacher can film crotch shots, bat nipples and Bane in a gimp mask, or any other perverse trash they try to market to children. That show really meant a lot to me as a kid. But I guess fiction of that sort is too problematic for current HR departments, or audiences, I don’t know. Its pretty disgusting, the overt decadence these days. Its not even subversive anymore. There’s nothing left to subvert from.

        2. Batman traditionally fought often odd-looking white criminals. But a whole lot of urban criminals don’t fall into the white demographic, and it would generate controversy to show a more realistic Batman beating up black, Hispanic and other diversity thugs every episode.

        3. Downloading …
Bruce should have had a gay relationship with his father, too. And a sexual relationship with his mother. You can’t hold on to those pitiful social conventions any longer. Long live freedom!

        4. How dare you! We all know that only white people can ever be truly evil. Those minority individuals are oppressed by Wayne, in particular, so there’s no way he could fight them.
          Check your privilege, and whatall.

        5. I think they went back to the root very effectively. DC comes from “Detective Comics,” and “the Detective” was Batman.
I noticed that they set it in a vague period in history. The criminals still use Tommy Guns, and very few people seem to have advanced technology. This allowed Batman to do so much with just his wits, a few simple gadgets, and a brain the size of Nebraska.

        6. I didn’t realize Batman is about as old as my grandpa. And I agree, the show was perfect in that regard. Superhero movies are not something I enjoy much, but Batman isn’t something you want to leave behind when you become a man. He’s like America’s Beowulf. Impossible genetics, resources and actualization, but you thrive on all that impossibility as a kid, like its a fantasy. Nothing makes more sense to an American boy than an extremely powerful grown man who dresses up like a bat at night and punches evil in the face. Nothing.
The early 90’s show was so much better at tapping into that than any other stuff I’ve seen of Batman. Though I haven’t seen the newest one yet. Only 80’s & 90’s kids will get this, is basically what I’m trying to say.

        7. The odd looking white and asian criminals used in movies is a remnant from WW2 propaganda films. Just look at the facial features of German and Japanese POW:s that had been starved for a few years and you got your typical Hollywood badguy stereotype.

      2. Jhonny Quest seems to be very progresive for today. A gay couple adopting a muslim boy.

        1. I live in Arizona, and this state has real place names which sound like locations for Jonny Quest episodes: Skull Valley, Bloody Basin and the Superstition Mountains.

        2. Oh you poor bastard – I live in this kleptocratic felony factory as well. All I can say is good thing it’s one of the closest states to Russia after the Pacific ones!

      3. Everything that can be subverted has been subverted. Take batman one there for example, back on the day two guys hanging out alone would never seem inherently homosexual. In today’s world, two guys hanging out with no women around is seen as potentially homosexual.

      4. You forgot Pepe LePew skunk promotes sexual harassment.
Also Tom cat from Tom and Jerry cat calls females.

        1. Not to mention all the lazy Mexican mice in the old Speedy Gonzales cartoons.
BTW, they seem to have done something to Speedy’s accent lately. Now he sounds less like a Mexican who speaks English as a second language, and more like a Chicano who grew up in L.A.

        2. Slowpoke Rodriguez, speedy’s cousin, always cracked me up.

      5. Wonder Woman would be hailed a “strong independent woman fighting the patriarchy”. Until she did it to a female. Then try would say she has “internalized mysigony”
Then re reported by CNN, Jezebel, MSNBC, Huffington post, and the Guardian.
Oh, and yearly reminder that Huffpo writer did a porno with James dean. She’s “meh” but the fact that she is such a moron turns me on.

  2. It’s a valid set of observations, and it explains what the Media cannot understand.
Why are so many papers and publications failing? They charge too much for information you can now get for free through blogs or YouTube.
Why don’t people watch the news anymore? Because they’re always either days late on the story or they are pushing information that will be shown to be wrong (and they won’t retract). Or, more atrociously, they’re visual tabloids.
Why do so many people pay attention to sites like Info Wars or Drudge and not Gawker or any of the other mainstream news agencies? Because they announce their biases at the outset, present material not easily found elsewhere, and cite their sources wherever possible.
I doubt they’ll ever learn. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

    1. Absolutely, as a private entity, you can choose to report news important to one particular side. Fine. Doesn’t mean you are permitted to lie as HuffnPuff, WashPo, and other leftists shit holes do so blatantly.

      1. That is the main reason the mainstream media lost their readership. They lied and got caught. Now they lost all their credibility.

  3. They’be been shitting on the readership for years. When facing the backlash from it’s audience, instead of engaging in a discussion, the media proceeded to throw buzzwords around and belittle adults as if they were children.
Teachers do that quite a lot trying to educate young minds; I wonder what the media barons are tying to do…………

  4. Can anyone clarify the supposed UK “financial crash” since brexit vote? It’s been all over my FB but when I checked the forex it looked like a small blip compared to some other recent fluctuations in their currency value.
Is this another example of sensationalism, or did I get something wrong?
    I’m betting on te former…

    1. I don’t follow it that closely so I’m sure there are some that are more knowledgeable than myself on the topic.
They have their own currency and other autonomy provisions now within the EU so I’m skeptical it would create a “collapse.” Some industries will surely become more complicated in compliance standards, conversely some will be simplified and benefit. I think it is mostly libtards trying to embellish the negatives due to a westernized caucasian state realizing the perils of lost cultural identity.

    2. It’s nothing really, just a sudden fluctuation but the pound is still stronger than it was at the end of Feb, early March.
There will be a second referendum, after all because some arseholes came out of the closet and fucked the whole Brexit thing. I won’t talk more about it but it will most certainly trigger another referendum.
      You heard it here first.

      1. Wouldn’t it take a few years for a second referendum to organize though? I am legitimately curious, because it took forever and against all odds for the first one to take place. However the short sighted tend to be loud and demanding in all things they pursue. And they are perceiving this market uncertainty of the UK as literal doom.

        1. Within 6-7 months you could expect another one. There will be tons of volunteers rushing to help out.

    3. I think it’s journalists trying to elicit emotional responses to Britain’s exit (IE we’re supposed to emotionally feel very strong about their vote). Personally I don’t understand the issue, and don’t really care about Britain staying vs. leaving since I don’t live there and am ignorant on this topic.
But as far as the actual changes, perhaps some British banks will have to open a branch overseas in other countries but nothing really serious. The amount of change in the value of the US pound is similar to other currency fluctuations. Hell, I’ve lost ~10% in the US stock market in a year, and didn’t bat an eye. I invest for the long term and sometimes bad things happen over the short run.

    4. Any small drop was probably caused by the big EU Banks/Companies as a “We told you so” scare tactic. it will blow over in a few weeks.
Not to mention many big brokers were betting against the Leave, They had a lot more faith in the voter fraud and the global elite stealing the decision.

  5. 4- the nature of the web allows morons to decide what is important. Editors used to decide what was front page/top of the fold. Now the dimwits decide what is most important based on what they click on

  6. The basic problem is now in the internet age, journalism completely depend on advertising. Advertising depends upon a naive, irrational audience with infantile desires. Journalists answer to the advertisers, not an audience of truth seekers.
The exception is Public broadcasting. You got to hand it to the SJWs for coming up with a way to get their message out on the public dole, free from the corrupting influence of capitalists. They get their enemies to pay the bills.
Perhaps if the SJWs are ever defeated, PBS could stand for Patriarchy Broadcasting Service.

    1. I find more truth on the public broadcasting than I do the mainstream corporate media. I mostly watch investigative shows like Frontline though.

  7. Today i went to a public school to vote in my country. There was a corridor with 3 huge posters made by the pupils. The “personalities” were : 1) Nelson Mandela 2) Desmond TuTu and 3) Malala… Europe is totally rot.

    1. I would scribble ” And why did You forget Shaka Zulu…you racists, you?” next to it…and, as usual, walk away and giggle…;))))

  8. As a tourist in my country’s parliament I talked to one of the guides there who told me that they (the controllers) clearly saw how journalism had fallen to the depths of completely awful in just ten years. I have noticed the same thing. It’s worth mentioning that the introduction of many female journalists has not helped at all, to say the least. The local newspaper ‘Klassekampen’ (translates to class struggle (Marxist)) had a whole page just a few weeks ago where a female journalist told us how Tampax got stuck deep inside her vagina, but that we could all feel good because she got it out. No kidding. This is five years of education talking. This is just one example of what we are supposed to be happy to pay for.

    1. Even the SJWs no longer bother with their “Thought Catalog” site. Apparently even they got bored with a site overrun by female “journalists” trying to outdo each other on the only topic to them worth writing about: their infatuation with their own vaginas. Not long ago they would have been committed and kept away from sharp objects by the watchful orderlies.

    2. ”Now THAT’S real news around these parts. Tell me more!!”
      http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UXDTNctOMEU/UpjMKvPp0qI/AAAAAAAAAKk/QrHOJ1EV2jE/s1600/Achham_Nov+29,+2013,+Sharad.jpg
”Hey Pooji, are we going to play the ‘Kim’ game again tonight?” . . ”also is it true, I hear the West is like one big open Chhaupadi circus. I would go craaazy, wouldn’t you? Oh well . . ”
      http://www.asianews.it/files/img/NEPAL_(f)_0424_-_Chhaupadi.jpg
”help me spread these cedar chips Pooj . . ”

  9. Journalism has become an echo chamber, on both sides. People aren’t interested in sensible dialogue, in the hope of finding truth, it’s about hearing that your gang is winning, period. Combine that with the fact that nuanced analysis and reporting is considered weird while snark and crass is considered brilliant, and this is what you get.

    1. Thinking alike…I said the same thing about “echo chamber” and we posted at virtually the same time. Spot on.

    2. Very true. It’s a combination of this, and laziness. I honestly think 95% of the journalists didn’t bother to fact check anything about the invented “rape” aspects of the meetup. In other words, they weren’t purposefully slandering someone, they were just repeating negative gossip (typically female journalists — not a coincidence).
Of course, it does boggle the mind how a grown, college educated person could legitimately think there are pro-rape groups that actually exist, but that’s another story.

      1. As long as it fits their preferred narrative, they don’t care. People refuse to think critically and ask questions. It’s amazing that in a world in which we have so much legit info at our fingertips, how stupid people are. Then again, there’s a lot of people who benefit from the stupidity, so I don’t see it changing anytime soon.

  10. The only problem I see with most of the mainstream media outlets dying at this point is that they are virtually the only organizations who have foreign affairs outlets and (although diminishing) the resources to maintain a global presence to where they can break important stories quickly. Most bloggers and smaller, more independent media outlets still frankly depend on the initially mainstream media reports to effectively crib off of. Obviously everyone here is aware of the globalized elite/multinational corporate controlled and concentrated/SJW/billionaire pet slash propaganda project mainstream media that exists, but my question for you is what alternative currently exists with the resouces and staff to break and cover major stories internationally?

  11. Get out of that Echo Chamber. Striving for a balanced media diet requires work and time — the mental fortitude to parse and filter it all correctly does take some genuine effort, and you have no one to blame but yourself if you’re getting lopsided information or tainted ideologue’s pablum. I desire to cut through the bullshit, paranoid conspiratorial narratives, and the filth of bias masquerading as balanced reportage.
My media diet pulls from the center, left and right; US and foreign press; mainstream and alternative press; liberal and staunch conservative-bias press; and sources that cut across religious and gender lines. Do so and you will start to see the forest for the trees, and clarity is the reward. One lightweight way to consolidate your effort is to start with a news “condenser” like The Week — a thin weekly volume that draws polarized and neutral media releases into a field of objectivity. Without “detail and perspective” you are less-smart than you could be, and can succumb to bias traps — news that feeds your preexisting convictions and alights no internal debate. Get out of that Echo Chamber!

  12. What I decry is the complete loss of objective reporting, or even attempts at such. As you state, most of this slanted reporting is to benefit the left and the globalists. In reaction to this, or as a counter balance, sites that aren’t slanted left, slant heavily right. This means I can’t find an unbiased, credible take on a story to save my life. I have to read a bunch of different sources and just embrace the ambiguity.

  13. Good article John.
The Libya war over the years, of all things, was the final nail in the coffin for me. Its impossible to even take these people seriously anymore.

  14. Learn from the enemy.
A great method for promoting an agenda is an “eye-opening-documentary”.
    The recipe:
    1. Journalist goes in the field with his “bias”, but wants to “investigate” anyway;
    2. Journalist encounters people that totally clash with his/her “bias” and the “common cliché-s” of the matter;
    3. A tearful/profound/emotionally-moving story is woven into the reporter`s narrative, including “personal transformation”, “epiphany” and/or “coping with loss/trauma/abuse”;
    4. Reporter leaves the matter/people/place, questioning “everything we thought we knew about it” and finishes with relativisation.
Good examples: google “vice, cult leader thinks He`s Jesus” (a very refined “double-take”…correct attitudes associated with false Messiah..)) , “Lisa Ling, ayahuasca” (Promotion of false spirituality), etc. ))
We can do it to them…much better. Historically proven. ;)))))))

    1. Lisa Ling? Cripes, she was on the high school boob tube, Channel One. Hooking kids on shit news early in life.

  15. I like the pic of the toilet heads watching TV. The media has made human porta poties of us all, at least all who are devoted boob tubers. Turn away western man from eating the gmo pink slime and stop accepting into your mind the excrament pouring out of the boob tube.

  16. Only read through the beginning but John, please these were never formidable or respectable sources of information. You can’t say they were, you are giving them far too much credit.

  17. Heh read it it all now, and I guess there is an audience for it, of absolutely toilet brush intelligence level idiots.
The fact is the government if they paid for it,should be asking their money back from parents for making fucking useless piles of dung instead of children.
The kinds if “men” in Sweden right now make me think the best thing we can do is nuke it from orbit, and Germany too.
Neither of these countries deserve any even minimal effort in saving them, and I’ll personally shoot anyone who feels otherwise.

  18. Great article.
I’d also add that journalists make jack shit in terms of salary, even after long years of service. Combine that with the tabloid/views/shares angle, and journos have very little reason not to make shit up, aside from personal ethics. The lack of which goes hand in hand with liberalism.
To be frank I think journalism has been this way for centuries, but it’s only now that we’re aware of it thanks to the internet’s bullshit detector.

  19. I may sound like a broken record here, but so what? My biggest issue is when they (especially CNN, or perhaps they’re simply where I first noticed it as well) started using copy/pasted Tweets from the rabble as news. Tweets are a person’s opinions and personal biases, NOT news in any way, shape, or form!
Honestly, as an example, if a Tweet FROM Donald Trump appears in an article ABOUT Donald Trump or whenever the actual subject of the article’s Tweets appears, that I can understand. But a Tweet from some blue-haired Hot Topic “metalhead” or somebody whose only marketable skill is being Black appears I immediately click off of both the article and the site altogether. It’s simply irresponsible and negligent “journalism” and a sign of the imminent decline.

    1. Hey last time I checked you were the motherfucker going to CNN. CNN didn’t come to you like some obese post wall flip flop wearing tattooed bitch. You invited her.
So besides CNN belching in your sofa, what’s you problem?

      1. Well then last time you checked must’ve been three or so years ago when I noticed this trend with them and then ceased going to their site completely, cupcake. My problems are 99 but a post-wall bitch ain’t
        one.

      2. this right here. I have no idea what the fuck is going on in the news because i don’t watch it. At this point it is just another tv show and I happen not to follow this one.

  20. I do not agree 100% with what Roosh has posted past and present (though there is very much on which he is right), but number three is spot-on. There is a noticeable leftist tilt in journalism, and as someone who went to a left-leaning university and has a degree in said program, I can wholly attest to that sad, unpleasant fact.

    1. Journalism attracts those who tend to lean that way, just like Hedge Fund managers are usually right wing to a man. Once upon a time, journalists were out seeking truth,or at the least interesting stories. Journalism was one of the few places in which one could explore, and not be accountable to anyone. Hence why a ton of lefties drifted that way(Academia with tenure has a similar situation). The problem is that once news became commercialized, it became about eyeballs, truth went out the window, and it became about appealing to a gang. Liberal journalists appeal to the left, conservative journalists appeal to the right. It’s all bullshit, and it’s all bad for you.

    1. I’m 100% against any site blocking anything (I especially hate Facebook), but I’ll be damned if I’m going to read neo-Nazi crap like the Daily Stormer.

      1. Daily Stormer def worse than most of the feminist sites out there.
Small, weak and impotent people people with not much in the brains department and who are scared as kittens. Best to ignore them — you know, like the rest of the world does.

        1. The horseshoe theory comes to mind–the extreme far right neo-Nazis aren’t too dissimilar from the moonbat left behind the moronic SJW/all cultures are equal crap. Both authoritarian, loud, and will not tolerate any dissent.

        2. correct…and they are also looking for a) someone to blame their own failures on(patriarchy and toxic masculinity for one joos and elites for the other and b) something to make them feel like special snowflakes (you go girlism and gay “pride” for one and race for the other.
I assume that most of their bad logic comes from using 99% of their already feeble brains denying that they are watching interracial gay porn.

  21. Media is nothing but a propaganda organ for those who pay them. They are prostitutes you pay to chant your slogan.

  22. So what else is new? The media has always been this ever since there was media.

  23. I think Roosh is just putting things too mildly, the MSM failed far more to understand readers than he accounts for. They are Marxists with no business sense, who will fail in a capitalist world due to their shitty product. The reason people don’t like mainstream media is because most publish fake information for Obama administration. I know this is true on Yemen and GamerGate, publishing out right lies to promote a left wing bias, in addition to about Roosh V. Fox News only lied about weapons of mass distraction & Michelle Fields (they are the best but still biased).
In addition to outright lies, MSM promotes shit that doesn’t work, like that being a feminist gets you Prince Charming (no it makes you a single cat lady) or that being a lazy cuck with no game smoking weed gets you a hot faithful wife. No it only gets you a wife who cheats on you if you are rich. People want stuff that works – instagam makeup tutorials with hot usually Arab chicks are much more popular among even white women than androgynous fashion magazines with politically correct SJW articles that keep women single.
People want to be happy and MSM doesn’t provide them with anything that helps them achieve their goals, while sites like this one does. Help people achieve their goals instead of preaching an ideology that gets them no where (like Marxism) and you’ll get a loyal readership, and this can be converted to advertising dollars.

  24. I suspect that the truth is is that the media has always been corrupt. It’s only now that their monopoly is incomplete that we can easily fact check.

    1. I think the difference now is the money wasn’t as big to get a direction. Just look at the Washington Post versus the New Yorker. One is Clinton, One is Trump.. both are considered main stream.

  25. “Dirty Laundry”
I make my living off the evening news
    Just give me something
    Something I can use
People love it when you lose
    They love dirty laundry
Well, I coulda been an actor
    But I wound up here
I just have to look good
I don’t have to be clear
Come and whisper in my ear
    Give us dirty laundry
    Kick ’em when they’re up
    Kick ’em when they’re down
    Kick ’em when they’re up
    Kick ’em when they’re down
    Kick ’em when they’re up
    Kick ’em when they’re down
    Kick ’em when they’re up
    Kick ’em all around
    We got the bubble headed
    Bleached blonde
    Comes on at five
She can tell you ’bout the plane crash
With a gleam in her eye
    It’s interesting when people die
    Give us dirty laundry
    Can we film the operation
    Is the head dead yet
You know the boys in the newsroom
    Got a running bet
Get the widow on the set
    We need dirty laundry
    [Instrumental Interlude]
You don’t really need to find out
    What’s going on
You don’t really want to know
    Just how far it’s gone
    Just leave well enough alone
    Eat your dirty laundry
    Kick ’em when they’re up
    Kick ’em when they’re down
    Kick ’em when they’re up
    Kick ’em when they’re down
    Kick ’em when they’re up
    Kick ’em when they’re down
    Kick ’em when they’re stiff
    Kick ’em all around
    (Kick ’em when they’re up)
    (Kick ’em when they’re down)
    (Kick ’em when they’re up)
    (Kick ’em when they’re down)
    (Kick ’em when they’re up)
    (Kick ’em when they’re down)
    (Kick ’em when they’re stiff)
    (Kick ’em all around)
    Dirty little secrets
    Dirty little lies
We got our dirty little fingers
    In everybody’s pie
We love to cut you down to size
    We love dirty laundry
    We can do the Innuendo
    We can dance and sing
    When it’s said and done
We haven’t told you a thing
We all know that Crap is King
    Give us dirty laundry

  26. The problem with the media, today, is that it’s all about sell, sell, sell…no matter the cost. It’s the reason why mainstream TV (shows) are so bad as well. They cater to “diversity”, sex, scandal, etc….there are no more shows that offer good values and character. You only need to see “reality TV” to get a dose of it (it’s trash TV that’s produced and directed to seem like reality).
The “news” is no longer useful. There is too much bullshit, feel good stuff and entertainment in it. There are no more “journalists”…all of these people are former professional somethings or they come from entertainment.

  27. Mostly feminist, non-white, Jewish, gay journalists, in-group bias, echo-chamber for conventional SJW wisdom.

  28. You forgot the fourth reason for journalisms downfall: Newsrooms are over staffed with women. Look at the byline of any paper or magazine. You’ll find more women than men have written the stories.
The ratio of women to men in newsrooms is very similar to college enrollment. In fact college has a lot to do with problems found in journalism. News isn’t only very liberal leaning but has become very feminized by the presence of writers with women’s studies majors.
Young women’s issues like “equality”, rape culture and the wage gap are being given more press at the expense of children, married women, the elderly, and especially men. Do you think the Catholic priest pedophile scandal in Boston would have been uncovered today? Instead we read about the Kardashians.

  29. “The media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.”
    -Malcolm X

  30. The media is interested in creating standalone complexes at the behest of their masters and hysterical readers, not in truth. http://masculineepic.com/index.php/2015/09/08/what-is-true-glory/
The funniest thing is that the ad model on the internet is so low-paying that you need millions of unique visitors a month to really make something out of it, and the costs aren’t keeping up with the return. When “journalists” try to actually sell a product, they often fail miserably.

  31. >don’t look at who owns the media
    >don’t look at who own the media
    >oi, I hope the goy doesn’t look at who are so often coincidentally behind the lies

  32. The WSJ has been going downhill (or to the left if you prefer) and the recent price jump to $3 daily and $4 weekend is hard to justify when half the writing stinks.
It used to be different, is it all to be blamed on Rupert Murdock?

  33. All three points are illoominarti confirmed!!!
But for real though, illuminati agenda bullshit

  34. Journalism is a dead profession…the NYT et al are a total joke; unreadable pablum for stunted Lefties…I just don’t believe anything written in the MSM, therefore I avoid acknowledging their existence. Cut cable, delete major newspapers, fuck Jewbook, ESPN can suck Bruce Jenner’s dick too!….etc….very liberating…

  35. Who in the world and put the moniker of liberal on the WSJ? You obviously have never read the WSJ. It is about a centrist as it gets, probably more right-leaning because it is factual
