You may tell everyone to “deal with” the problems taking place in society today, but you – and most people preaching who have never endured the pain of the violence (including me) – will never understand and be able to fight as strong as the victims/survivors of rape and domestic violence – no matter the gender. So, stereotypes, discrimination, and insults will not solve anything. I’m assuming that your problem is only with the people who use “rape” as a conversation-ender, a sort of “golden ticket”, not with people who legitimately have been raped, right? I mean, obviously rape does exist. Most people who are raped aren’t lying about it. But I agree some people over-use it to the point where they just look misinformed and arbitrary (i’m talking about those who haven’t actually been raped, by the way).

I recently interacted with a woman who accused a man of rape. My gut tells me the case isn’t as clear cut as she would have me believe. In any case, I thought it helpful to share some things I’ve learned over the years about rape. The following is based only on my observations and experience and deals with men raping women.
1. most men who rape can’t actually get it up and will beat a woman out of frustration, or kill her and then rape her posthumously
2. most women are raped by a close friend or family member
3. most women who are raped are usually above average in attractiveness
4. most women who are raped find it terribly difficult to confess. I want to emphasize this point because it proves the meme in mainstream media that most rapes go unreported. These women are so ashamed, so horribly wounded by the experience; just as truly suicidal people are more likely never to speak of their intention to commit suicide because off how charged with emotions the act and its related issues are, these women find it almost impossible to speak because of the magnitude of their emotions. It’s not that they “will” not speak, it’s that they “can’t” speak. It takes A LOT of coaxing to get them to talk. But this truth leads me to my next point:
5. in my experience, most people who freely admit they are raped are not telling the whole truth (or are in many cases they are flat out lying), and they often invite certain scenarios upon themselves only to regret it later, or exploit it later, or use it as a “release” for some other unrelated psychological issue. These women are highly (emotionally) unstable and many meet the diagnostic criteria for BPD, NPD, a host of other unspecified neuroses. Avoid these women at all cost – they will only bring trouble into your life in one way or the other. They are often very controlling, manipulative, they “re-create” reality and force it to fit their perception, and they gaslight/ball-bust/castrate. Most importantly, these women are social parasites that destroy everything they touch whilst always managing to appear to be the victim.
I’ve met women who have been raped and haven’t told a sole (though certain typical behaviours betray their experience). I’ve also met women who’ve claimed dubiously that they have been raped. Their is a huge difference between the presentation of these women. Since we’ve prized objectivity over intuition for very practical reasons, I won’t expect any drastic cultural changes on the issue. Nevertheless, (intelligent/sensitive) investigators (who are free from biases) often know intuitively whether or not a woman has been raped, and are forced to bury this knowledge under the dictum of political correctness. And now laws and special interest groups are set up in such a way that if a woman falsely accuses you of rape, your life as you know it will most likely be over – something I’m sure most of you already know. It’s my hope that what I’ve shared will lead some if not most of you to identify and shun these kinds of women so that you’ll lead successful and productive lives. No level of sexual desire or moral norms for social interaction is worth even the smallest gesture to these intraspecies predators.

Let me ask a question. Would you be comfortable around an MMA fighter who was gay? I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion and all that but this is probably the most insensitive article I’ve ever read. Rape is not a joke and should not be treated like one. If Tuthmosis is trying to get the point that men and women throw around the word rape too much, that’s his opinion, but if a man or a woman ever uses the word rape to describe an encounter that he or she may have had then there obviously is an issue of discomfort that needed to be addressed. I really don’t believe that Thuthmosis or most of the people commenting on this understand how terrible and unfortunate rape actually is. I will use the example of the recent story of a girl at a university who had her picture taken while she was allegedly being raped after a football game. The picture circulated all over the internet and it came to be that she consented and the man was not, in fact, raping her. However, obviously the girl was a.) drunk and therefore not legally able to consent, and b.) was obviously uncomfortable that this photo was taken and was also uncomfortable that such a encounter actually happened. Obviously, such an encounter affected her in a negative way thus turning to claim rape. The fact that people claim to have been raped when they weren’t is obviously a problem but this article addresses it in a disgusting way. It turns rape into a joke and it makes victims of rape seem like liars or people who are “easily offended.”
Using the word ‘rape’ for anything other than the actual crime makes the word lose its meaning and strength, and that is where I agree with you. Understandably, when people say ‘that’s rape’ for anything that isn’t, in an attempt to be considered protecting people- that lowers it’s meaning and strength. This article and the comment section, where the word rape is used repeatedly out of context, lowers the meaning and strength of the word to a worse degree – because you use the word as a joke. A lot of the stuff on this site, I find pretty agreeable, in regards at least to the entitled nature of women etc. the nature if attraction etc, but I struggle to understand how anyone could have a problem with the popular notion of consent.
That picture that was posted in the article, that claimed sex would never happen in those circumstances, I mean, I’m pretty sure that’s been true for me every time I’ve had sex. Never fucked a girl who was waisted and I always ask (unless in a relationship where cues have been established due to familiarity)

I know women who just because they regretted sleeping with someone they said it was rape. But that does not change the fact that some women have to go as far as to wear a date rape detecting nail polish just to go out for drinks. There are reasons that women have to go to weird extremes like that now days.

We need to talk about rape in a serious way with a direction, purpose, and stable environment, as well as with compassion towards the victims (as opposed to today’s usual victim shaming). There is still rape culture today – given the contents of this article, it’s alive and well. Shaming of any kind is not cool, and consent is never laughable or absurd. And there’s nothing wrong with being “easily emotionally wounded”. There’s nothing wrong with crying or taking offense, as I’ve found myself doing so often reading through these articles. If we didn’t have emotions to back up our causes, how would we feel compelled to fight/fight for anything? Rape and rape culture is extremely prevalent (yes, Mr. Tuthmosis, in the Western world, as well as other places), and is a very emotional topic, especially for victims and survivors, and their families. We need to show empathy and compassion, and aim to stop rape culture. People are saying it can’t be done, but it has to be. So many people have been affected by rape, and it’s something we really need to talk about and prevent openly – and not in articles like this one.
