If you were thinking about doing so, do me a favor and literally go fuck your own face. Like all pieces on the internet, the manosphere is not perfect and any clown who follows it 100% with blind ambition is a fucking moron. When I first discovered ROK, most of the material was enlightening and well thought out. It made sense. Some articles slipped through the mod cracks and were, for lack of a better term, “try hards” who took the Alpha mentality too seriously and went out of their way to establish their Alpha-ness. The key, as with anything, is moderation; that is to think before you believe and realize that even the most logical arguments have flaws. Don’t get me wrong, LoftBoy has a valid message hidden between all of the “faggot” and “pussy” name calling. He’s telling the reader to essentially nut up or shut up and take command of the journey. However, we’ve had numerous posts on this site discussing that doctrine ad nauseam, and those have done it with eloquent, well articulated writing and constructive paradigms to better the man reading. I’m not against this article, fuck it, LoftBoy is right with the message. However, we, as a community, should establish our dominance through our ideals and those ideals are about becoming a better man and rising above the rest. Posts like these are the reason the outside world criticizes and bitches about ROK. If all of the dedicated ROK readers are the Alphas they claim, they need to fucking rise above all of this and establish our path while hanging on to what the traditional term “chivalry” stood for. Freedom of speech, blah, blah, blah and everyone will only see LoftBoy using the word “faggot” and miss his message, but the point is that LoftBoy could easily have spread his ideals and, without using trigger words, kept our dignity. We’re not here to piss off feminists and the outside, we’re here to better ourselves. Posts that go out of their way to ruffle their feathers digress from our purpose here. Just my humble opinion.     This site has declined. The high point was Quintus’ article about men knowing their limitations, set against the backdrop of Vietnam. This is the low point. A teenager is calling people faggots for not being the next Bill Gates. Action is absolutely necessary for improving our lives and the world at large, that action has to be measured. There’s a reason teenagers don’t have any sense. They don’t understand this. Every man, especially kings, have limitations.
    Even the “Jersey Shore” articles about dumbassery in the VIP lounge of some

    Although it may not seem like it, this article is actually a masterpiece of rhetoric. There is a lot to be learned by studying this little diatribe. Before you call me insane, I’ll give you my reasons:
    1. It is so over the top that it almost becomes a grotesque devolution, like a painting of the female figure by Willem de Kooning. It seizes the attention, and never relents its grip. It demeans, mocks, and challenges, and fires up the indolent from his torpor.
    2. Structurally, it’s focused, laser-like, on one single topic. And the logic flows clearly from one point to the next. Each example, each illustration, flows from one point to the next. This is not always easy to do.
    3. It berates the audience in an uncompromising, unrelenting way, forcing the reader to sit up and take notice. It does what all good oratory should do, which is stir the emotions.
    Whether we like it or not, this is classical rhetoric in a modern setting. Demosthenes would be proud of this. If this article really was written by a high school student, then I am very impressed.
    There is a method to our madness here at ROK. We seek to teach, instruct, berate, cajole, and infuriate. And judging by the response, we have succeeded.

    3. Excellent description regarding this piece…also, I like the use of the word ‘faggot’, not because I hate gays, but because it flies in face of the PC police, using a word that cannot be used in today’s HR dominated, passive aggressive, lovey dovey workplace environment.
      Reminds me of an underrated movie by the name of ‘Glen Garry, Glen Ross’, when Alec Baldwin’s character shouts at his subordinates ‘you hear me you fucking faggots!’…you don’t see this in movies any more.

      1. Reasonable minds can differ. I consider the article very well-composed. It may not have the erudition of a speech by Burke or Pitt before Parliament, but it is quite effective in its own setting. And that’s what matters.
        Rhetoric is not a dull subject. As you can see, it can froth and sparkle with emotion.
        Every now and then, the editorial board needs to reach through the computer monitors of some readers and slap them across the face a few times.
        It helps release the male aggression on both sides of the monitor, keeps everyone honest, and checks feelings of entitlement.
        You and I both know that the banned persons trickle back here anyway, so no permanent scarring is in evidence.
        Hopefully something has been learned here.

    We collectively complain, and rightly so, about the state of affairs right now and especially women.
