The Best Of ROK Staff Writers In 2014

2014 has been a tremendous year for Return Of Kings. We have made serious strides every month in terms of readership and have the highest number of dedicated readers and commenters in the site’s history. Traditional sex roles week was a success and we have more writers on staff than ever before.

ROK has provided incisive, relevant, and timely commentary on serious public issues as they arise, all the while continuing to provide fresh perspectives on historical, philosophical, and spiritual issues. Furthermore, ROK has also continued to provide insight into travel, game, and general tips for life.

In celebration of these accomplishments, let us reflect on the best posts that the ROK staff writers penned in 2014.

  1. Quintus, all by himself, is one reason I will always return to ROK. Well done gentlemen. I look forward to all of your contributions in 2015.

  2. Thanks for posting this list — I hadn’t read some of these. I’ll be working my way on down from the top.
Ferinstance, I just finished Athlone’s “Why famous men become outspoken feminists”. It brought to mind some lyrics from a song by Prince, that I’m now interpreting in a new way. Here’s a snip:

You don’t have to be rich to be my girl
You don’t have to be cool to rule my world
Ain’t no particular sign I’m more compatible with
I just want your extra time and your kiss
….I want to be your fantasy, maybe you could be mine

As per Athlone’s template, it’s a simple, blank slate, with zero judgements that allows any woman to think she could pair with a high-value male.

  3. Wow. This has been a long year. Many of those articles I simply missed.
Glad this yearly roundup is available.

    1. Or AV8R, Forney, etc.
Pretty much every writer on here deserves props… Many of the commenters here deserve recognition as well.
I check RoK for the no-holds barred articles but I stick around for the commentary.

      1. AV8R and raywolf are technically not in-house columnists right now, but they have given us a ton of great material as you pointed out and we publish their work whenever possible.
Matt and Blair joined up later in the year, but feel free to post links to your favorite articles by them here in the comments, and perhaps we can add them to the article.

      2. The comments make the website. Its gotten to the point where I skip the article and read the top comments first.

      3. Oracle Z recent article about self-mastery is one of the very best. As well as the older post “We must not deny the importance of fatherhood”.

      4. Yes, agreed on those authors and that the commentators around here are legendary.
For all you guys imparting wisdom, including GhostofJefferson, doktorjeep, Mistral, Clark Kent, driver, John, kfg and Qui Pertinibet to name a few of the most prevelant and vocal who have stood out for me in particular, thanks gents. Here’s to another excellent year.

        1. Agree. Great “back and forth” comments with the other men on here (agree and disagree at times…but good stuff).
A great source for sharing ideas, wisdom, suggestions, comments, etc…for all.
I’ll be here through 2015…remember to tip your bartender.

  4. Haha perfect timing.
I just re-read Tuthmosis’s “Pussy is Seasonal” article and it describes my current situation pretty well.
Extra tricky to really get to know new girls this time of year… Everyone is in hibernation mode… I find winter has always primarily been a shut-in productivity time for me anyways… A nice reminder that I’m not alone in this.

  5. No One Would Have Died If PUA-Hate Killer Elliot Rodger Learned Game – No it makes them even more bitter when they can’t get HB10’s…that they feel they are so entitled to.
    More people could have died.

  6. Billy Chubbs – Unmarried Older Women Need To Go Away
That one is linked to the wrong article.

  7. Great site.I have loved a lot of the articles here especially Quintus -Dialogue with a Pious Monk and many of 2 Wycked’s writings.

  8. Its the comment section that makes ROK even more enjoyable to read.
Who would you say the best commenter is?

    1. Too many excellent ones to pinpoint just one, but I listed a few of the leading candidates above. I wholeheartedly agree that the comment section here is dynamite.

    2. I like those old guys…GhostofJefferson and Mistral (lol).
I may be biased, though….damn old guys.

        1. You’re always a fucking smart ass, Sgt.
But from one to another…I always appreciate it. Happy New Year to ya.

  9. Is BillyChubbs on a temporary hiatus or is he gone until further notice? His stuff cracks me up.

  10. I reckon any author whose had 10 or more articles posted in the sites history deserves props.

  11. I’ve noticed a lot of the older ROK writers barely write for ROK anymore (which is a real shame), and there are so many new ones i can’t tell who is coming at the thing from practical sense, or just regurgitated theory.
Second, as a total aside, where the heck has christian mcqueen gone from this site? i miss his enthusiastic ratpack style postings man

        1. I’m not aware of the specifics, but I believe he didn’t practiced what he preached.

    1. Writers come and go. Sometimes they share what they want and move on. But I will be here forever.

        1. I also believe that ROK is one hell of a drug. I come to this site every day to see what’s new. Some articles suck, others are superb, some suck but the commentaries are like the bread and butter. The commentaries can sometimes be the article itself.

    2. A few of the old writers started up their own blog, C.Mcqueen being one of them. He is still putting out some solid content though.
There has been an influx of new writers, some regurgitated material, and some offering a fresh new perspective. AV8R went from top comments, to informative articles in my book.

  12. AV8R!!!!!!! He’s the funniest writer on RoK. He and the commenter Christopher Lance are the two reasons why I keep coming back.

  13. No Matt Forney, I’m pleased to see. I refuse to take advice from an alpha poseur who has clearly never lifted in his life
    http://mattforney.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/matt-forney-aaron-clarey-davis-aurini-bechloff.jpg
Dude on the far left. Check out dem ham rolls and manboobs. Can’t believe a website that had FAT SHAMING WEEK let this moron write articles for it. A fat man is little better than his female landwhale counterpart. If you don’t work out and look after your body, then you’ve failed half your job as a man, period. You have no business preaching to other men about masculinity.

  14. I have enjoyed reading almost all of the articles on here. I have missed a few and I’ll, hopefully, get back to the ones I’ve missed.
Good work to all and I appreciate the effort by everyone. I try to share ROK with many young men that I encounter (I can’t force them to read but I mention the site and encourage them to at least check it out).
A special thanks to other writers: AV8R, Matt Forney, others I may have missed.
All the articles are rock solid and a great fucking start for young guys just at the beginning of their red pill journey.

  15. I’ve enjoyed many of them, keep up the good work. Although It doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to improve.

  16. 2Wyked – good list of nominations. And I would like to nominate all of your Twilight Zone analogies to today’s World articles. Just like you, I too think the classic TZ series from the 1950’s is profound. And at times wonder if the themes, messages and morals that were explored back then could be relevant to today’s high tech medevil tyrannical freak show the West is now becoming, but each of your TZ entries at ROK show that they can. Thanks, and keep up the good work, sir.

  17. Every writer deserves recognition and also the commenters that put out their knowledge.
From how I see it, life is an expedition from which those of us who do come back, come back with information to give to the rest, a true noble fact.
The true pioneers that bring contributions to this site deserve special recognition, but so do the writers and commenters that give us valuable information and give us a good time while reading their work.
So dear columnists, commenters and fellow gentlemen, here’s to you!
Happy New Year with lots of health & wealth !
    Cheers,
    J.

  18. Was it not AV8R who said “A woman has very little interesting to offer outside of her vagina”?
One of the most profound things I read all of last year!
